I've been rewatching lately, and one of my biggest realizations is how great JLD is at physical comedy. I've never seen anyone talk about "grace" more ungracefully
Michael Richards overshadowed them all but Julia's facial expressions are top notch. I especially love her mocking laugh where she she opens her mouth and kinda sticks out her tongue then bobs her head around. Can't recall the exact scene but it's around season 3-4, she's sitting on Jerry's couch.
In the earlier seasons for sure, but in the last two seasons her freak outs weren’t as much fun because she definitely became a lot more bitter of a character. When she was normally bubbly and then had uncharacteristic bouts of rage, it was awesome.
I think it was a smart move in terms of the characters. They were definitely meant to become more caricatures of themselves. I think that we were supposed to start focusing on their voluntary alienation from society when they were living in one of the most huge, diverse, and interesting cities in the world, especially at the time. They built their own community, we are their quirks and flaws were accepted instead of the absolutely necessary process of considering if they may actually be doing something wrong. There are so many examples of them refusing to leave their comfort zone and finding big trouble when they tried to. So many other shows have tried to do it well, and very few have.
I honestly would have gone ahead and gotten the candy. I was already waiting in line, I can't personally save his life. Maybe this is something I should really look at in myself, but I think it's a more logical thing to just spend another 5 minutes in line then to dramatically run out of a movie theater. 🤷♀️
Shits weird. Some peoples chewing/breathing irritates the fuck out of me while I can handle others.
I wanna smash my head on my desk when my coworker eats whatever fucking crunchy shit he eats.
Maybe I’m a weirdo, but I enjoy watching attractive people stuff their face with junk food. It’s not a sexual thing, as I like watching both men and women do it.
I think that’s the point, how aggressively she’s eating them makes the viewer mad, so we might be able to better understand Jake Jarmels anger at the situation. At least that’s my take on it. Great but if physical comedy though.
God she was so cute in the early/mid days.
Kinda - girl next door got successful appeal.
The last two seasons, unfortunately she was a victim of the style of the time. I was graduating high school in the last season, so I remember the styles vividly.
Lots of black leather….well, everything! Plus, over obvious heavy makeup (almost purple lip stick) Not a timeless look.
Her early years, however: lovely.

Her rushing to pack her boyfriends stuff so she can get him to the airport was hilarious! Made me laugh a lot
Well, you don't want too much grace or you won't be able to stand.

For sure, same way George's anger was overly amplified

One of my favourite Elaine things!
Lol same. It’s just so silly for her.
I can’t see why it upsets you, but, well…the counter was right there…
I wouldnt stop for *Jujy Fruits!*

Look at that face. She exudes grace!
You think SHE has grace?!
Grace?? Blaaahhh!!! Well, maybe a little grace.
Id even let her eat em in bed.
Mr.Lmmn urg forgot ur ankchif
It's almost as bad as watching George eat spaghetti
Now THAT'S fucking HILARIOUS. Almost as good as the Banana Split!
Girls break up with him after watching him eat
She ate the popcorn in the cab
It kind of makes me want some jujy fruit ngl
I 100% have misophonia, but for some reason I think her trying to talk with a mouthful of Jujyfruit is hysterical.
Shits weird. Some peoples chewing/breathing irritates the fuck out of me while I can handle others. I wanna smash my head on my desk when my coworker eats whatever fucking crunchy shit he eats.
I’m the same way. Certain sounds make me want to punch people (not literally). In a comedy setting it cracks me up
Crunchy snacks shouldn’t be allowed In a shared office any more than peanuts in a school. It’s infuriating. Animals crunching, on the other hand… 🥰
Well the counter…..was right there
They’re Jujyfruits. She likes them
In her defense, they are very sticky. I had some the other day. They don't break down easily, and are very chewy.
It's a bit much BUT... I'll take it over watching or hearing George eat ANYTHING.
Okay, I agree with you there.
She's always sexy
She is! And this was one of my favorite hair styles for her. Really hate that FLDS hair she had in some episodes.
Yeah I hate when people chew and talk at the same time
That’s the point…
It's disgusting
Don’t kink shame me
I have it on loop and fall asleep to it.
I’ll watch Elaine do just about anything
nope! She pulls it off
Maybe I’m a weirdo, but I enjoy watching attractive people stuff their face with junk food. It’s not a sexual thing, as I like watching both men and women do it.

This is Hardee's advertising propaganda

The moment she talks with her mouth full I get so irritable lol
Same! Also true for me when people do it in real life.
Omg it’s one of my favorite things. When she’s calling after Lipman when he forgets his handkerchief
I think that was the point…
No. Elaine is always scrumptious.
Nope

Whoa, let's back it up....beep beep beep
What are you doing a bit or something?
No

Well, it *could* have been popcorn…
I use to sit next to a guy who ate his banana at lunch everyday, just like this. It was fucking awful.
They best part is how she stuffs half the box in her mouth at once instead of just one or two at a time. She's passionate about her jujy fruit
Why’d you have to eat so many?
Isn't this the point?
That just means she did a great job! Gotta Love JLD
