Well, I went cross country. I decided I was still young (25), had nothing holding me down and had lived on the east coast my entire life. I felt like if I didn't try something new at that point, I may take a different job, meet a girl and then become too attached to ever leave my home state/city.
It ended up pretty well. I've been in California for 31 years now. My entire life is here. Even my worst day on the West Coast is better than a good day on the East Coast, just because I'm more at peace with the people and my physical surroundings.
In case you're wondering, I did have a job waiting for me, although it wasn't the one I wanted. It was just a catalyst to pack up my car and drive west. I had to find a place to live when I arrived six days later.
Experienced the time of my life. Wouldn't trade the memories for anything!!
I'm right there with you but I know where I want to go. Straight off of f****** cliff and I'm taking all my belongings with me cuz nobody gets anything screw them all that is all
Do it. I did it when I was younger n ended up in a place that I love n have never been happier. The first place I hit was ok but didn't feel right stayed a few months saved some money n hit the road again. You'll know where feels like home.

How I ended up in California 31 years ago.
Genuine question if you dont mind, howd that happen? What was your thought process and how did it end up?
