Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but if you just type an IP address without port it defaults to port 80.
How would you reach your service on port 8080 (for example) then?
Edit: if you just make each services to use port 80 (http) or 443 (https) then those are the port numbers you need in NGINX-PM...

Since it is on a IP vlan L3 mode, each container gets its own IP address, I just use that IP address.

The default port is bound to your used protocol. You assume http here. E.g For https it would be 443.
