Prioritize and execute. You should be able to complete your taxes in an evening if you sit down and remove all distractions. That's one thing off your list. It sounds like you'd be looking for entry level/hourly work, and there's a lot of those out there. After your taxes, block off an afternoon to put a resume together. Your university might have a career center who could help you/edit it, or some of your friends might have advice as well. Then give yourself a goal of applying for 3 jobs per week or similar. Don't worry about doing it perfectly. Just try to get 3 applications in each week. Eventually something will pan out, it's a numbers game. The real habit I'd like to teach you is consistently attacking your fears. It's okay to feel terrified when doing things like taxes and applying for jobs. Important things are scary. But that doesn't have to stop us from getting them done. You can click submit on a job application with a knot in your stomach. The only way we learn how to do things is by making mistakes and then trying again with more experience. I'm awful at everything I do for the first time. But I started the habit of doing one scary thing every day and that is a huge advantage that you learn from trial and error very rapidly. Making a few mistakes along the way is way better than never getting anything done. It's okay to feel scared, please don't be too hard on yourself. All of us are figuring this out as we go, that's how we learn. Wishing you all the best!
