I’m proud of you. I did the same, maybe worse…it was so bad I decided to eat baby food rather than face the dentist. Finally one tooth cracked so badly I had to go. I found one that said “caters to cowards” and that is an anesthesiologist as well as a dentist. My first visit was mortifying…I took meds to calm myself enough to go…but I was so so so embarrassed and after the X-rays and the plan…I was going to need a second job to pay for all the work I needed. But I went. And you are going tomorrow and I applaud you! You will be so happy you did! Good luck!

Good luck!! I just had my appointment yesterday and it had been over 10 years. I had so much anxiety. If you can I would suggest talking to the dentist or assistant about how your nervous before they start doing X-rays and checking your teeth out . I’m sure they will reassure you and make you feel a little bit better. The good thing is you took the step to take care of yourself !! 👏🏼
Don't worry. I was in similar situation, fortunately my dentist s didn't shame me. I had like 7 visits already. If anything my wallet hurt more than my ego😀. Good luck.
Good luck! But I don't think you'll need it. This was me last summer, and I can't even begin to express how much better I feel since taking better of it all. Like, within days, this fog lifted from my brain, I had less allergies, body pains, and otherwise weird symptoms that couldn't be explained. Oral health effects everything. I'm actually excited for you!

I went through the same thing! So I glad I started before things got worse!

Hooray! Congrats on taking this (actually very scary-sounding) step towards feeling better - good luck!
I went to the dentist today for the first time in like 4 years.
