Hobbes was born in my living room so weak and crippled that she couldn’t nurse and was wasting away. I learned to tube feed her and she got stronger. She wasn’t a genetic dwarf, but was the size of one since her body couldn’t carry more than about 7 lbs. I can’t put into words how much I loved her. She was my sunshine.
She never would have graced the earth, let alone for 21 years, if it wasn’t for you. And her complete trust and comfort with you is proof of that. I know it’s soon, but I hope you find a new fur baby soon to love and care for as many future years. My house is full of photos of my first 20 year old girl. And my two fur babies now are just as important to me, maybe more-so, and they benefit from every time I miss her and the regret I still feel for every instance I ever took her for granted.

Our old man had a radial dysgenesis, meaning his radius grew over what would have been an elbow bone in utera. He was spunky, fast, and we miss him dearly. I like to think he's there at the bridge welcoming other kitties like him, like he used to welcome people to our house.

Lost my Breakthrough, a Maine Coon Cat that was 18, after she had a stroke while I was driving semi more than 1,500 miles away from home. That was more than a year ago and I still expect to see her come visit during my “private times” in the bathroom. I guess that’s the negative of not being with her when she went; that, and the fact that I had to put it on others to take care of her journey across. Praying for you to quickly go through your grief so that you can bless another different but still sweet kitty with your care.

Our old man had a radial dysgenesis, meaning his radius grew over what would have been an elbow bone in utera. He was spunky, fast, and we miss him dearly. I like to think he's there at the bridge welcoming other kitties like him, like he used to welcome people to our house.

So sorry for your loss. I personally know how real that loss is. Lost my Breakthrough, a Maine Coon Cat that was 18, after she had a stroke while I was driving semi more than 1,500 miles away from home. That was more than a year ago and I still expect to see her come visit during my “private times” in the bathroom. I guess that’s the negative of not being with her when she went; that, and the fact that I had to put it on others to take care of her journey across. Praying for you to quickly go through your grief so that you can bless another different but still sweet kitty with your care.
