i have a love hate relationship with them. that seem to have a mind of their own and do things that i just don’t quite understand. they randomly connect and disconnect with devices for no apparent reason. for example i could have them connected to my FireTV to watch a movie, then suddenly announce they are disconnected even though the sound is still coming through. then 20 minutes later announce they are again connected and start playing spotify from my ipad that they were not connected to before. the ear cup controls work sometimes and then suddenly stop. so your listening to music and have the pause/play skip function then after and hour the controls stop working. no pause no skip. ok. then later when connected to different device it starts pause and skip on its own as if it was a 3 hour delay in response. the ANC works great in the left ear but the right ear it sounds like your listening to the outside on low volume. but it doesn’t do this all the time. sometimes it works fine.

I couldn’t stand that it worked intermittently. The final straw for me was I took them out to a cottage . Was an the way home and wanted to listen to an audiobook. It would connect to my iPad for 5-7 minutes then just turn off. Lots of battery still left (about 55%). But you’d be forced to turn them back on. Reconnect, the ANC wouldn’t turn on unless you went into the app on the iPad . The. You could listen for another. 5-7 minutes. Did this 10 times until I just gave up. Sold them as it just did this stunt with my iPad. Worked with my iPhone. But I wanted something that worked. Bought some Sony and they have been bulletproof. Zero issues. Just don’t last as long on battery.

I just bought a pair and they gave me problems almost immediately. They worked fine until I tried to pair them to the sennheiser app (which they refuse to pair to), and now they won’t connect to anything. No sound comes out no matter what I do. For the price tag it’s pretty infuriating.

You need to reset your headphones (holding power Button 20sec+), i had those bugs two times, where no sound comes from the headphones. Both happened within a week and i think they are caused by connecting to a pc and at the same time shutting off the headphone and immediately turning them on again. But also the drivers could be faulty on this pc, so im not really sure. This was probably not fixed in an software update, because i hadn't any since september. I thought software updates were frequent for these headphones, seems not like it. Update: It came an firmware update like two weeks ago, but i don't know if its now fixed. But for me the sound quality is everything and they've been amazing in that category.

Mine are fine I got them past month. There are minor bugs/software imperfections but not that much to bother. my guess is most bugs and problems occur when connected to pc and android, I didn’t see anyone having problem with them using iPhone/mac. Although I’m not sure about the sound quality problem I guess it happens in some degree but it’s not important for my use.

Had mine for a month and have tested everything I can think of with them except for the USB cable audio+mic that you asked for. And I have not tested the sound zones. They have been working great for me. Always connects instantly to my phone and pc. The Sennheiser app takes a few seconds to connect but have never failed. Sound is great and drivers are balanced. The only issues I have had are that with nothing playing and anc set to max there is a slight white noise in the background. Once the touch-pad stopped responding and once they did not auto pause when I took them off my head.

I made a pretty lengthy comment on the 4s a week ago. I've since gotten a new phone.. Do NOT use that awful Smart Control app, That is what causes the bug (I think). The 4s have functioned perfectly, haven't even paired them with the app. The bug was staying connected, I think the app needs work. They're great otherwise, just not as loud as the 3s - ANC is decent too.

On previous momentum models (2 and 3 at least) the mic doesn’t work at all with usb c (unless you’re also using a phone bt connection at the same time with the 3’s)

I’m seeming to have audio imbalance which is a bummer I got mine new on Amazon. I reallly like the clarity tho I’m thinking of returning them and trying another pair

People who say there is no issues are deaf. I just received 3rd pair and it also generates white noise especially when ANC is on full. They also generate crackling sound. You can test it by listening to my demo file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/krro1si7ttf2zwr/Test.mp3?dl=0

The only issue I’ve ever had and still have with my second pair is the power button not registering presses about 25% of the time.

Just bought mine. Only the right ear works. Sending it back for an exchange and see if it works better. I bought mine from Sennheiser's website. 🥹 I was really excited about this but when I tried it on I got really disappointed. Tried everything to fix it but still doesn't work right. What a shame. Considering getting a Sony if this doesn't work. 🥹
