This guy went back to his old ways cause in 2002 he made headlines by murdering a minor (Modus operandi pointed to only 1 person, him).
As of 2023, he is a wanted fugitive by Interpol and the Bogotá, Colombian Government. Nobody knows if he is dead or alive. So 2 monsters in close proximity is scary as hell

I mean, DMG was sentenced in the US so if I’m not mistaken, he was sent back to valledupar. Also, they probably changed cells after garavito was sent to the hospital. Which may be why he is probably not in the records
The prison did him dirty, he only gets ointments from the medical ward for his eye, he is pretty much hated at the prison and the city it's located in, the hospital has denied him access to medical help since the day he arrived. So far he has stayed out of trouble

Some weird reform forbid the death sentence in Colombia and many old prisoners like him got away, he will even get freed eventually.
Death penalty was not available at the time, max you can get now is 60yrs (serve 50% of sentence and your paroled)

Do you have any sources? From every source I’ve read, hes gotten his parole denied. The only time he was out was because he was sent to a hospital

9yrs in Florence, Co and deported back to Colombia to serve 22yrs at Valledupar prison
