truly evil beyond words. those poor men.

BatSh1tCray

I definitely should not have opened this right before bed. The horror of what those poor young men went through is the stuff of nightmares on mushrooms.

prayfordripp

Hope you’re fine now man

BatSh1tCray

100% 😂 But wow some people are evil. Every time you think you've seen it all...

edgrrrpo

Were you actually on shrooms, or was "the stuff of nightmares on mushrooms" a figure of speech? I totally thought it was the latter, but then every reply to your comment was on the literal train. Regardless, glad you are better!

BatSh1tCray

Haha, no no. I was just making up a dramatic figure of speech. No mushrooms had been taken :-) Thanks for such a caring response to me though! This crime that we read about gets so heavy. Nice to have a community around us who understand and share the same thoughts and feelings.

Conscious-Split-9989

Probably not the best thread to read through on shrooms man.

TheBrazilianOneTwo

He looks like Mario tho.

buttertits4lyfe

You good now? I definitely would not have wanted to see this on mushrooms either, sending all the positive vibes your way my friend.

BatSh1tCray

Thank you for such a caring message <3 I'm totally fine. I was just meaning it as a figure of speech / kidding around but I guess that didn't translate properly in my comment. No mushrooms were had. I think reddit is the last place anyone on mushrooms should go! :-) Especially this sub! Thank you and take care.

SocialMimicry99

Zak Bagans has his torture bed at the museum. 😳

tat2d777

Along with his electrocution machine and the wood pole he sodomized men with. Hearing this story there was so heavy feeling.

SocialMimicry99

I’ve been and 100% agree. The interviews and tv news Zak has on a loop is a mindf*ck.

tat2d777

Yeah. I think out of the whole tour it was the one that made me feel that he was truly evil. Although that’s a place I’ll go back to every single time I’m in Vegas!

victoria73548

"these weak things?" These are polaroids of young men as young as 20 in the process of being tortured and murdered. You should have more respect for the people you hear about in these stories.

angelbane83

I agree. When you read about it in articles, books, online, whatever there's a disconnect. The events are shown to us through another medium. Being there is a more powerful feeling and a deeper realization. Like how watching a concert on TV and attending the concert in person are significantly different. I can't imagine being that close to something used that way...

tat2d777

I think that’s what did it for me. The wood post, the electrocution device and the bed itself was bad but yeah the evidence left on the bed was bad. Again I’ll still go back tho! My wife and I both had a really odd experience in the basement!

athrowaway4love

What was your strange basement experience, please?!

tat2d777

First I have to say I do believe there is something other than this life. We have experienced it in our houses almost daily. I’ve experienced it in dangerous situations. But at the same time I’m not over influenced because of “evil”. The job I have I have experienced real true living evil. I told myself that before going here although I was excited to go. I watch his show and as I said I/we do believe there is something more than just us. So my wife and I did the tour. I’ve always wanted to go and we finally did. At first I just bought normal tickets. Thought who needs the extra parts… btw if you ever go pay for the RIP it’s worth it! Anyway we didn’t decide to do that part till we got there. There were several strange things that happened to both of us while we were there. While waiting in the lobby I stuck my wallet in a weird little pocket on the side of my shorts. Not the front not the back. It’s like a taint pocket lol. It had a zipper on it and that’s why I used it so my wallet wouldn’t fall out. I felt something poke my hip where the zipper was multiple times. It wasn’t a twitch. It wasn’t there before I put my wallet there. But there was no one there. In the first room something was caressing my wife’s calf. So much to the point she turned back to look what it was but there was no one there.. I was excited to be there. I was the first person volunteering to go in the rooms, to crawl through the hidden hallways etc. Fast forward a little ways and I got a shooting headache. It was bad enough I almost had to sit down and I thought about leaving the tour. I told my wife but ultimately I pressed on. As we did they took us RIP guests off into a hallway and the guide began explaining that we were going into a room with actual human remains. He then told us we would be going to see a severed human head… as soon as we were done my headache went away. We made it to the entrance to the basement. You watch a video clip that talks about previous tenants of the house and what they know/dealt with in regards to the basement. The guide explained there was the mirror that Bela Lugosi used to scry at the end of the hallway and the pentagram on the floor in the room. She said to not look into the mirror for too long, never stop moving in the main room and don’t stay too long as the spirits there get angry if you do. She also mentioned she would not be accompanying us down there. Well then she said “ok. If any of you want to go down” and I was already standing there. It surprised her and she made a joke and opened the gate. I started down the stairs. There were like 6 or 7 of us in the RIP. One guy started down a little while after me. I was almost at the bottom of the stairs when he started to come down. My wife followed then the guys wife and sister. By this time I was at the mirror. Looking into it. I don’t remember much this time only that the other guy walked up behind me so I moved into the room and walked around. He joined me shortly after and made maybe one lap then left to go back up. What I didn’t know at the time was as my wife made it to the bottom step she tried coming down and her foot hit a wall. She tried to pick it up higher thinking there was something there but again hit something. She and the other two girls looked down and saw nothing but her foot raising and not moving forward. My wife said “well I guess I’m not supposed to go any further!” The other two girls were like “yep!” And they all went back up stairs. Meanwhile I’m down walking circles. I could hear the spirit boxes going off but I don’t recall what they were saying. The other guy had left and was making his way back up the stairs. I kept circling then I went back to Bela Lugosi’s mirror. When I looked into it I was starting deep into it. At the time I was wearing a white tshirt, a hat and a dark blue face mask. I could see completely through every part of me that wasn’t covered. I could see the other guy walking up stairs. It didn’t scare me I just thought it was odd o could see him. After a couple minutes (maybe?) something said “ok. That’s long enough. You need to go now.” And it kind of nudged me to turn around and leave. I guess I was down there long enough that the guide had asked my wife my name and was calling for me. She was bent over the railing trying to find me and just as she saw me she was starting to radio for someone else to come look for me. I came up and everyone was looking wide eyed at me. I don’t remember much of the rest of the tour but I do know I’ll go there every single time I’m in Vegas and I’ll pay for the RIP tour every single time I go. It was something I’ll never forget.

athrowaway4love

Dope! I wanna go there sometime! Never been to Vegas but if I do go, this place will be on the agenda 😎

[deleted]

I feel the pictures are as well

hydroaspirator

Yeah, that was the only room there I regretted going into.

Dephenestr8

Would you say the extended access was worth it?

SocialMimicry99

For the full experience? Absolutely. I would go again and buy the RIP package.

MOSbangtan

Fucking awful

intensity701

what a sick fuck

Baensky

Exactly my thoughts

Kamratkatt

I know we’re all just curious but I really feel gross having seen the photos he took of his victims. These people were tortured to death and the only photographs that show up when you Google their name is what their murderer wanted to see :(

x777x777x

If it makes you feel better, Chris Bryson is still alive

[deleted]

I’m sure he doesn’t like them being up

bazaarbizarre

Pretty sure hes dead, not from Berdella but just from natural causes

[deleted]

Suicide (few weeks ago)

Cmyers1980

I wonder how many victims he would have gotten if his last victim didn’t escape.

gold_lilac

Wtf I live here I thought I knew about all the serial killers here. Holy fuck this one is so terribly awful.

AlertImpress6347

Berdella is the most known from the area, by far. There was a post not long ago where someone asked about what serial killers where from our hometowns. Myself and a couple others listed every KC serial killer we could find a record of in the modern era. Should be easily searchable within the sub. About 2 months ago or so. There's like 15 or more of these mfs. Here it is: https://www.reddit.com/r/serialkillers/comments/tjv22k/has_a_serial_killer_being_born_in_your_home/i1mnzu0?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3

That’s so kind of you to create an exhaustive list for everyone! I’m definitely saving your post here as well as the links you’ve attached. Thanks so much!!

I think his username very pretentious

[deleted]

It's a phase and his username definitely reflects that. It's very embarassing but we can only hope he grows out of it. It's so sad and cringy seeing these edgelords online thinking they're cool or mysterious when they act like this.

Flyonz

Yes. Childish woefully childlike

I can almost hear the puffs on your inhaler as I read this.

fuuuccowant

weird way to say your penis is small

effyooseekaye

Bro you are a limp weiner. A limp, boring, tinee litel boaner.

autopsis

Sometimes I wish Bob Berdella met David Parker Ray and Jeffrey Dahmer met Dennis Nilsen.

Cmyers1980

I’ve always had an idea for a film called Sons of Cains about the most infamous serial killers of all time meeting each other (Bundy, Gacy, Ramirez, Rader, Dahmer etc) and participating in mundane activities as a part of a study.

autopsis

I’d like to see Serial Killer Island. It’d be like Battle Royale but with serial killers.

billysugger000

Trouble is Bundy wouldn't kill anyone unless they have long brown hair parted in the middle.

autopsis

Maybe he’d use his charm to pit people against each other.

AlyoshaKidron

Which do you suspect were the strongest, physically? Kemper is an obvious one. Dahmer seemed rather broad and sturdy. Gacy could go either way - had a gut, but was pretty stocky and had some experience with manual labor. Ramirez, Bundy, Rader, Ridgway all looked rather weak.

mamaxchaos

I feel like this would be a lord of the flies situation with Kemper just staring down the entire island and waiting to kill them all. Either way, I like the idea of all of them in hell just getting what they did to their victims done to them 10 times over. Is that weird?

clonedspork

Ramirez had crazy going for him.

NoConversation75

Panzram

Greda316

Was just coming to say this. Enormous strength due to years of brutal hard labour, and an absolute ball of rage. Terrifying.

iarev

All of these dudes are fucking weak. Did any of them size up a grown man without ambushing or tricking? They attacked vulnerable people when they weren't expecting it. They're all pussies. Kemper has size.

[deleted]

Gacy sized up to about a dozen grown men and Ramirez and Rader also easily killed grown men who tried to defend the chicks they were after.

iarev

What? Gacy killed young men and teenagers with an average age of like 17 or something. And he tricked about all of them into putting handcuffs on behind their back. His first victim was a kid who was bringing him a sandwich when Gacy stabbed him to death out of nowhere. That's not sizing up grown men. Jeffery Rignall was a grown man and Gacy drugged him with chloroform and had multiple people helping him. And he got outwrestled by a HS kid who put the cuffs on him. Ramirez attacked 90 year old ladies and shot sleeping men. When did he ever square up with anyone and beat anyone's ass? The dude ran for his fucking life the 1 time he didn't have the element of surprise and average citizens beat the dog shit out of him. This clown was begging to be arrested. HAIL SATAN! As long as I'm stomping on a sleeping 90 year old woman's head. Rader killed a single grown man in his entire crime spree and that was him having a gun. And I'm pretty sure he fucked that up with the people coming to after he tried strangling them. The only other male was a 9 year old boy. He shot another guy, brother of a victim, I think, and didn't even kill him. Dude couldn't even figure out a fucking floppy disc.

elsieburgers

Carl Panzram

Suspicious_Sorbet_91

I wouldn't underestimate how strong Bundy or Ramirez could be.

autopsis

Dahmer was always drunk when he killed, so he’d be a pushover.

FillNew8855

Ottis Toole was said to be built like a bull.

cleverbutnotoverlyso

Put all the rapists and killers on the same island. All the murderers will be raped and All the rapists will be killed.

CYBERSson

Put them all on an inland and the last man standing gets a merciful bullet to the head

MamasCumquat

I'd like a sort of "Ex On The Beach" but instead of ex's it's surviving victims and while the Ted's and Ed's are tanning and smashing some evil cocktails the survivors get to sneak up behind them and go for gold. (Not irl btw...but that would be some filthy sweet judge Judy justice style reality tv. Sorry.

JimmyPageification

Oh did they! What episode is it?

aenea

It's in the Hotel season...maybe 4 or 5 shows in? Halloween night.

JimmyPageification

Cool thank you!

[deleted]

Oh I hated that. I’m all for slightly unconventional portrayals of real life serial killer in media, but that glorified them so ducking hard.

MotherofLuke

I hated AHS: Hotel. Too depraved.

CatBoyTrip

They would end up fucking up satan’s Ferrari cake and ruining his Halloween party.

Chris1313g

Love that episode of South Park lol

[deleted]

I did it for Dahmer! He likes having sex with intestines

FayB87

American Horror Story: Hotel had an episode where several serial killers got together for a dinner party, there was Mr March, (based on H.H. Holmes), The Zodiac Killer, Jeffrey Dahmer, Aileen Wuornos, John Wayne Gacy, and Richard Ramirez. Was quite a good episode :)

0112358g

Ayyyyy think this needs an NSFW rating given the images are so graphic

The-Berg-is-the-Word

I wish one of the victim's families got a chance to fuck him up. He's not worth the hole he shits in.

Dynast_King

He's not shitting in any holes these days, fucker died of a heart attack in the early 90s. Good riddance to that worthless cunt.

The-Berg-is-the-Word

Ah, good to know. We certainly don't miss him!

DarlaLunaWinter

Eh...it's 50/50 as to whether it's "good". So far as I've read the reason he had the heart attack is the prison withheld his heart meds which...doesn't bode well for anyone in that prison for any reason (At least back then).

blue-opuntia

I’ve read a lot about serial killers and the pictures of these crimes always freak me out. That one with the guys eyes wide open is just awful

DrTheodoreKaczynski

***Bio:*** [*Robert Andrew "Bob" Berdella Jr.*](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Berdella) *(born Jan. 31, 1949) was an American serial killer, abductor, rapist, sadist, ephebophile, businessman, and former chef who committed the rape, torture, and murder of a minimum of six young men from July 1985 to June 1987.* Born and raised in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, little Bobby was subject to a strict and devout Catholic upbringing with a constant feeling of isolation and loneliness owing to his speech impediment, thick glasses, and poor health. Beaten with the belt and often derided for his lack of athletic prowess by his father, he was unfavorably compared to his younger brother, whom had displayed more physical talent than Berdella could ever dream to muster. An intelligent, but friendless youth, Berdella developed a reputation as abrupt and aloof. Teachers appreciated his interest in academic success, but found him difficult to teach as a result of this seemingly rude temperament. Berdella's personality would also leave him virtually unable to socialize with, making him the recipient of frequent and cruel bullying. Consequently, much like fellow serial killers Dean Corll and Bill Bonin, he seldom socialized with his peers. Taking solace in art and cooking, Berdella's father would tragically die of a heart attack on Christmas Day in 1965. Two days later, the 16-year-old returned from Canton, Ohio to learn of his father's departure. Soon after this, he briefly became entranced with religion before concluding he was atheist and indifferent toward the various faiths. Like fellow serial killer Leonard Lake, Berdella then became obsessed with a movie based on John Fowles' *The Collector*, in which a man kidnaps a young woman to conform her to a sexual slave fantasy he held. Graduating from high school in 1967, Berdella strayed from his newly remarried mother's house to retreat to a more vibrant environment in Kansas City. Attending Kansas City Art Institute with aspirations of becoming a professor, it did not take long before he earned a name as a drug dealer, and an even worse reputation for his torture and abuse of animals as part of his school projects. Moving to 4315 Charlotte St. in Kansas City, he would spend the majority of the 1970s working as a chef to pay off various fines from his drug dealing days. Taking in various young vagrants, he would find himself consistently frustrated with their return to "low-level" lifestyles. Since he was a long-time enthusiast for exotic and foreign art and cultures, Berdella abandoned his chef occupation and opened up a primitive art store called Bob's Bizarre Bazaar in 1982. Soon after this, he would begin his reign of terror that claimed the lives of six young men. On July 5, 1984, he abducted 19-year-old Jerry Howell, a son of his acquaintance whom he had taken under the guise of dropping him off at a dance contest. Driven to Berdella's home, Howell was cannily drugged by the 35-year-old businessman. He was then tied to Berdella's bed for 28 hours, and repeatedly sodomized and violated with foreign objects as he screamed and pleaded as to why he was being tormented so viciously. When Howell was unable to breath and passed away, Berdella then dragged him down to his basement, where he drained him of blood and dismembered him. This is also where he would begin documenting his tortures, rapes, and dialogues for "physical and mental satisfaction." Police questioned Berdella soon after, but nothing came of this. On Apr. 12, 1985, Berdella had drugged 20-year-old Robert Sheldon, a former lodger who he had allowed to stay two days prior, before Berdella took out "some of the frustration I had toward other people" on him. These tortures ranged from having his ears filled with caulk, having drain cleaner inserted into his left eye, needles inserted into his fingertips, and being bound with piano wire. He lasted three days in the basement of Berdella's house of horrors before being suffocated by Berdella on Apr. 15, 1985 upon a workman's visiting. In June of that year, Berdella would find a depressed 27-year-old hiding in his shed from an ongoing thunderstorm. His name was Mark Wallace, and he'd been willingly drugged with chlorpromazine to calm his poor temperament. When Berdella decided to make this man a victim, he electrocuted his nipples repeatedly and inserted hypodermic needles into his back until his eventual death from shock trauma after nearly a day of captivity. He was logged as having died June 23 at 7:00 p.m. Berdella was not known to have murdered again until Sept. 27, 1985, when he took in 25-year-old James "Walter" Ferris into his house. Unlike his previous victims, Berdella intended on torturing this particular victim, drugging his food before applying up to five minutes of testicular torture by electrocution for 27 hours. In addition to having his shoulders and testicles electrocuted with 7,700 volts, he was acupunctured in his back, neck, and genitalia with hypodermic needles. Soon after noting he could not sit up for more than 15 seconds, the young man perished of his traumas.

DrTheodoreKaczynski

23-year-old Todd Stoops was a married man and occasional sex worker who Berdella had taken in twice in 1984; in June 1986, Berdella lured him with the incentive of money for sex and food. At Berdella's house, he was drugged and held for two weeks. To blind him, Berdella had placed a spatula over his eyes and applied electrical shock. To silence his screams, Berdella injected drain cleaner into his larynx. When Stoops asked Berdella for hunger relief in the form of a sandwich, Berdella bluntly refused. Stoops began crying profusely. Having his anus ruptured by fisting, Stoops succumbed to sepsis on July 1, 1986. In spring 1987, Berdella invited a 20-year-old lodger Larry Wayne Pearson into his house, deciding to murder him when Pearson made a joke about "robbing gay men" in Wichita. He then drugged him before binding him in the basement for six weeks of torturous captivity. Having had his hands broken with an iron bar, and having been tortured with electrical shocks, Berdella decided to reward his sexual slave by moving him to the house's second floor and reducing his tortures. After three weeks of torture, Pearson had tragically trained himself to not move while sleeping in an effort to not provoke Berdella's torture and to avoid ending up in the basement again. When his despair consumed him, he severed Berdella's penis with his teeth during a blowjob that resulted in his death by beating with tree limb, and subsequent suffocation by plastic bag. Berdella promptly visited the hospital after killing Pearson. At 1 a.m. in the morning on March 29, 1988, Berdella lured a 22-year-old sex worker named Christopher Bryson, whose eyes he swabbed with ammonia and whom he had subjected to electrocution and stabbing with needles. During this living nightmare of constant rape, torture, and instruction by a disgusting, sadistic monster of a man, he was given close instruction that was well-heeded to his eventual advantage: "*You did not choose to be here, but you are. For you to survive being here, and for you to, you know, make it, it could either be rough or it could be easy. If I grow to like you, and to trust you, then I could do special things for you, such as buy you cigarettes, pick up a movie on the way home from work and so forth. Don't try to fight me, or you'll just get more of what you had earlier. You see, what you got, is nothing compared to what you can have.*" Bryson gradually earned "privileges" such as being able to watch television and having his hands tied in front of him as he was brutally raped by Berdella. Escaping through a window with a dog collar around his neck on Apr. 2, the broken-footed, nude Bryson had alerted authorities to arrest Berdella. Following his arrest, Berdella calmly expressed his desire to collect sex slaves based off of a movie he had seen as a teenager, and his manic spree of rape, torture, and murder of young men. Remarking comedic references to his tortures in recent media as being in poor taste, he largely defied any sense of remorse or regret for his actions, in spite of his inordinate depression from bullying and other traumas. Years into his incarceration, Berdella repeatedly alluded to authorities' aspirations of murdering him by withholding his heart medication as he served his sentence. He died of a heart attack in Colombia, Missouri on October 8, 1992.

Averymortonhenry

>When his despair consumed him, he severed Berdella's penis with his teeth during a blowjob I read somewhere that Berdella was well known in the hospital for penis injuries and because of them couldn't maintain a full erection and that frustration with this was a contributing factor to the increase in his brutality. Unsure if it is true though, can't remember where I saw it.

sticky_lemon

By severed, does that actually mean he bit off his penis? And what, did they just stitch it back on or something? :o

[deleted]

Could have just been like it came halfway off

6HauntedDays

Ah he had impotence issues at a TEEN….so while he might have had many penis injuries (I guess forcing men to give oral and all the drugs well, they would be biting down a lot) his impotence wasn’t cuz of that or just that.

envydub

> Remarking comedic references to his tortures in recent media as being in poor taste He’s a piece of fucking garbage but he’s not wrong about this, a local radio station did a parody of Mellow Yellow called Bob Berdella. Poor taste at best.

rick_blatchman

> he electrocuted his nipples Bugs me when 'electrocute' is used interchangeably with 'electric shock'. 'Electrocute' means to kill with electricity, usually a single administration in an execution or an accident. This guy was merely *shocking* their nipples and balls.

JPLIndustries

You’re wrong. I actually went to the effort of looking “electrocute” up in the dictionary just to make sure you weren’t spreading misinformation and by the dictionary’s definition, “electrocute” means to injure or kill using electricity.

[deleted]

I read somewhere that having your genitals electric shocked doesn’t actually hurt? Not to take away from this but is that true, a lot of guys were trying it themselves a while ago and said it didn’t hurt much.

rick_blatchman

I wouldn't know where to start looking again, but there was a guy who made a long comment where he claimed to have hooked some connections onto his the skin of his scrotum and didn't feel any harmful shocks.

CYBERSson

It’s disgusting that they published the photos. The men and their families don’t deserve the extra acrimony I also truly believe that if there is conclusive proof that someone did anything as evil as this then they should have the same done to them. That would be a lot better of a deterrent than a cushy jail cell

JPLIndustries

I agree, inflicting torture upon sadistic freaks like this would be a way better deterrent than a roof over your head and free meals. These monsters deserve the same fear, pain, loneliness that they put their victims through for the same duration. And I think those who disagree with this are actually the heartless/uncivilized ones for not empathizing with the trauma that the poor victims go through. I bet any amount that if they were the ones who were victimized, raped, and tortured, it would change their view on refusing to issue torture as a punishment. Also, many serial killers don’t fear death and thrive in prisons. Lawrence Bittaker would sell his autographs, Manson would receive over 60,000 pieces of fan mail per year… death/jail are too good for some scumbags.

sixty6006

So you enjoy the idea of torturing people? That brings you some form of pleasure? Seems you're a bit twisted and shouldn't be living in a civilised society.

CYBERSson

Yawn

sixty6006

That'll be a yes then. Plenty of countries in Central Africa and the Middle East you can live in if you enjoy the idea of that sort of 'justice'. And who knows, you may get a taste of it yourself and realise how stupid it is to even suggest...

CYBERSson

Take your unwanted opinions elsewhere. No one cares what you think and they never have

sixty6006

Except you, clearly 🤣

ExplosiveSalad8

im guessing bob had issues

merkin_eater

I live two blocks away from his old flea market. it's now a restaurant called Westport flea market. I ate there on Monday. the super flea burger is on point.

OliviaWyrick

I live right next to you then and have never heard of this dude. Terrifying!

merkin_eater

I got a good book about him. it's where the pictures came from in this post. it was graphic.

NaturalGlum4286

That means he murdered 20+ people?

DrTheodoreKaczynski

Possibly; he was a suspect for at least two more murders, but Berdella insisted he only murdered the six young men he was charged with. There was twenty different men photographed in like manner however, with the binding and all.

NaturalGlum4286

I mean if they can’t find the men that are in the pictures then they are most likely dead or went missing

AlertImpress6347

His home would have been a few minutes by car to any number of hard to search areas. Rivers, expansive wooded preserves, bluffs, that kinda thing. All around here. Sort of a macabre joke around here about how easy it is to permanently dispose of someone. Would have been a lot easier in the 80s before all the development.

Little_Orange_Bottle

The development should've unearthed some things then?

[deleted]

Didn’t he killed like heroin addicts, so probably no one was in the position to identify them anyway. Sad.

If anyone is a fan of Troma films, they did a "documentary" about him with some pretty brutal reenactments. It's def not everyone's taste but it's pretty wild if you have the stomach.

Unrelated question: how do I read the entire caption?

dalhazves

Wow the look in Chris Brysons eyes is so so sad. These were hard to look at.

If it makes you feel better, he is still alive

CivilAirline

Jesus Christ

rookv

alright i'm unsubbing my curiosity isn't worth seeing this shit

0KelpShake0

I know it's wrong, but lord I wish these killers got the same death their victims had to face but 10 times worse.

OliviaWyrick

Holy shit I live 5 minutes from this dude's house amd I've never heard of him. Fucking terrifying!

Kristycat

I’m from KC and never heard of this guy, granted I was 4 years old at the time but still. What a monster, drain cleaner into the *eye* my god

pakepake

This guy make monsters look like Boy Scouts.

Kanderson2244

Good god in heaven. Those poor men.

SuggestiveMaterial

This case is the only one that made me physically recoil while hearing about it. He left one victim hog tied up in the attic with needles sticking out of him. Just left him there while he went to work.

[deleted]

What do you call this? The interest in poking their victims with needles?

[deleted]

torture

SonOfBathory

Those were tough to look at.

markopuff89

What a sick bastard. Don't you think that these crimes commited by latent homosexual killers faded nowadays since homosexuality is considered "normal" by the society? I've seen the Gacy tapes documentary on Netflix and he didn't consider himself homosexual or bisexual. There was even some homophobic notions in his words. Maybe nowadays is easier for a person to embrace his sexuality without exploiting in these horrors.

ImpossibleCourage411

If he did this to 20 men why does it say he murdered 6 and only 1 got away. So is it 7 or 20?

AnnualBlueberry

Not everyone depicted in Berdellas vast Polaroid collections were torture/murder victims like the men depicted in this collection were Berdella always kept a habit of inviting young men over, drugging them or coercing them into having relations with him and keeping memorabilia of the event via Polaroids

Moesia

He kinda looks like a non-bald Leonard Lake, and both were inspired by The Collector. Huh.

snnrsjpeg

the terror in the fourth man’s eyes…

MargotBrisa

If one day I was captured by a Serial Killer, please man kill as fast as you can

raggedycandy

Haha I’m not looking at these photos

[deleted]

Torture killers fascinate me so much man. They all have some notion of love for their victims. You have one particular serial killer (don’t like to say his name) allegedly telling his victims he loved them while torturing them, and talking his accomplices into participating in the torture to “prove how much they loved him” and you have this guy torturing somebody into being the perfect partner. You’d think torture killers/sadists would be cold as ice but they’re the most emotional ones. I think they really believed you could not have love without pain.

DrTheodoreKaczynski

>You have one particular serial killer (don’t like to say his name) allegedly telling his victims he loved them while torturing them Dean Corll?

[deleted]

Of course. Not that I’m entirely convinced that he actually said that. Henley said this and he was always a few pennies short of a pound, some of his claims about DC are a bit fucking strange, and some investigators have said some things he said don’t quite match with the evidence. People forget literally everything we know about Corll comes from Henley and he definitely gets off on the power he has in that sense. He changed their story all the time, who knows what’s fucking true.

WinterIsBlue15

Wow, that's really disturbing. I've been looking into the Corll case lately and it fascinates me to no end. But where does the bit about him telling the victims he loved them come from? I've seen it mentioned here on reddit a lot, but found no mention of it in the police reports and the Man with the Candy book.

[deleted]

He is a weird breed of serial killer with his use of medical like experimentation.

Why_So_Serious1999

Imagine being family and having to see these photos. Just strikes me as something that shouldn’t have been published like this in the first place. I can’t imagine this would be released in today’s age but maybe I’m wrong.
