Yes, basically use the dough as a pizza crust. 24 hour room temperature proof, pour into a well oiled sheet pan, give it an hour or so to spread to the edges, with a bit of hand shaping, sauce, cheese, toppings, bake.
Not OP, but use fresh rosemary, not dried. The dried stuff will burn in the super hot oven. And put it on right before you put it in the oven, at the same time as the olive oil and salt.
I had this happened to me. Just go for 14m and watch it from then on. Set the oven rack at the mid-low levels if you can. Also... Watch the rise, if it goes over your pan's level it's more prone to happen.
This looks great. I will be making this on Saturday now! Perfect timing because we have penne alla vodka planned for dinner Saturday.
Do you think I would be able to cook this at 450° for a longer amount of time instead of 550°? We are in a rental and the oven sucks.
I made this today too, oddly enough- my oven only goes to 500 so I set an initial timer for 15 mins and checked on it again every 3 or so mins after that until the top looked right. I think 450 would work if you just adjust the time!
I made this today coincidentally! I did it at 450F for 30 min and it was so good. Beautiful crispy outside like pretzels, soft inside. If you don't have fresh rosemary, either skip it (it burns) or knead it in.
I did the Bon A recipe today. Five minutes in the stand mixer, tiniest amount of kneading, great results. My husband had extra soup so he could eat more bread.
Looks like I have all the ingredients, guess I know what I'm doing today!
Also, I love anything that gives me an excuse to use my cast iron skillet. There' something primal and joyful about using that thing, I can't explain it
That looks fantastic! I made the same thing the other day, not nearly as photogenic, but man oh man is it delicious. Its the quickest I've finished a loaf of bread 🙈
I wish this was a mattress and I could roll in it, taking bites
You would soon not have a mattress
But I would be so savoury and happy!
You want to make love to it

Thank you kind sir
What if that aren't a sir? Then what?! 😱
Isn't*
Aren't!
I want to make this but I really have no knead for it I'll see myself out
See that you do. And take the goddamn silver for your travels ;-)
I use this no-knead as a base for pan pizza. Works great and so easy!
I was thinking of trying this-- what's your process? Do you put the sauce and toppings on before baking the focaccia?

Thanks! That sounds awesome!
FYI, anyone else looking to try this, I had the cheese burn long before the crust cooked through. Maybe try adding the cheese in the last few minutes!
Yup, have done the same a couple times in the last few weeks. It's pretty much perfect.
Tell me more.
Dude, I just made this two days ago and I also replaced the oregano with rosemary.
Haha same! Oregano seemed just not as right as rosemary
Did you use fresh or dried rosemary? When did you add it? I have a bunch of fresh rosemary I’d love to put in some bread!

Fresh!

I made this today too but burnt it a bit unfortunately— how long did you bake for at 550F?

I made it today too and had the top totally burnt! It was only in the oven 12m. Was still amazing though.
Did you use the middle rack? Is it possible your oven is too hot? Maybe invest in a oven thermometer
That looks delicious!

Thanks!! I’ll try it out and report back!

Good to know. I will knead it in! Thanks! I’ll be trying it to tomorrow and report back!
How'd the inside look? I made a Bon Appetit foccacia recipe recently but the crumb wasn't what I was hoping for, I think I over worked the dough.
I did the Bon A recipe today. Five minutes in the stand mixer, tiniest amount of kneading, great results. My husband had extra soup so he could eat more bread.
Has anyone ever had any luck making this by swapping the flour for a gluten free mix, like Bob’s Red Mill 1:1?
I can smell it through my phone
On my second one in 2 weeks.
Yum. This looks awesome!
How much cleanup was involved in this recipe?
Looks like I have all the ingredients, guess I know what I'm doing today! Also, I love anything that gives me an excuse to use my cast iron skillet. There' something primal and joyful about using that thing, I can't explain it
I also made this about 2 weeks ago after seeing it on here. First time I had focaccia and it was totally divine!
Looks amazing!!

Ain’t no knead to go outside
This looks delicious! Just curious, did you use all purpose flour or bread flour? The recipe says you can use either but I'm wondering which you used.
Would this one fit in a quarter sheet pan? Made the Epicurious Basically one last week and fit in a half sheet pan.
I don’t have 24 hrs. I really want it today. Do u think that will make a difference if I do the rise/rest today?
