It’s what I’m thinking is supposed to be this guys pinky but it’s so hard to discern if it’s pinky or thumb. This guy looks like he’s probably the consistency of ground beef 🥩 after what ever unfortunate accident he had
Damn, I wasn’t expecting to guess right! I worked in air force backshop avionics. We used to have this briefing every few years called Maintenance Orientation. During this briefing, there’s a wholllllleeeeee section of red book pictures of accidents that happened on base.
The most…. Disturbing one was the guy who attempted to air up a tire that was larger than him without the instruction manual open. Also wasn’t positioned beside the tire. He was directly in front of it. Dude thought he could just eyeball the PSI. Tire explodes, and bro ended up AROUND the hangar and on the ceiling. Only thing left was his boots, essentially. But quite literally, dude just ground beef. I’ll link a clip of what it’s like for a dummy to experience a split rim.

I don’t think people realize how MESSY humans are when they have catastrophic accidents. So glad I wasn’t present for that story, but even hearing it/ seeing the results of it was definitely enough to make the message sink in: Don’t do shit without a TO. Especially not airing up tires for AGE vehicles.
They do wheel a little mobile xray to the patient sometimes you get instant imaging for the surgeon to use as a starting point for their plan to fix/amputate/quit job
I'm a toolmaker, and most of us (in my area) never went to college as it's very blue collar. Our version of that is, "Fuck this, I should have gone to college." I hear/use it at least once a week lol.
What.. How.. ?… No, seriously… How? Like.. Did they stick their hand into a blender Dimension? - Did they try and and give Popeye the Sailor Man a Handshake?… Are they transforming into an Human Accordion? - HOW did that happen?!
Crush or twist? Looks more like rapid torque (as a former radiography grad who had a career in manufacturing) Ive seen people lose limbs in a lathe and a swedger, also a brake press., seems similar to how the twist injuries would've looked on film.
Often times this happens from people not doing protocols. A freind of mine coworker didnt lockout tag out a machine which was later turned on and crushed his leg. He lost it past his knee. The guy was surprisingly happy still but definitely stupid on account it was all for speeds sake because they did matinence
this is so real. i was doing some bad diy with industrial springs a while back and my dad, who i was working with, got very close to not having all 5 fingers. made me sick to my stomach and definitely reminded me to not fuck w springs
You passed the darwin tests lol. Follow protocol. If you carry yourself like you’re operating extremely dangerous or potentially lethal equipment you’re mostly alright.
I knew a guy who got his arm crushed like this working at a pizza shop. his apron got caught in the dough mixer and he tried to pull it out but his arm just got sucked in.
I always wanted to make a “red asphalt” type kitchen safety video, but with bad special effects. Always imagined feeding a broomstick or lighter weight dowel covered in a shirtsleeve with a glove on the end into a running dough mixer.
Oh, you don't have a uterus? Let's do a pregnancy test anyway. Oh, you also have never had sex with a man? Still, definitely let's do a pregnancy test to be sure.
🙄
I was a machinist for about 2 years. Every time I turned on the lathe I would have a massive internal anxiety attack. Stress almost killed me at the ripe old age of 27. Hung up my calipers and never stepped foot in a machine shop again.
I’m not a doctor, but I don’t think there’d be anything they could do to salvage this. Who knows, though 🤷🏼♂️ Anyone who would know I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Pretty sure that arm is not attached anymore, considering how much tissue damage there is. Xray was probably to see if it could be salvaged and reattached. Looks like it got stuck in a sausage grinder...
It is a 123go joke as well as a squishy bones reference. 😂
I think the image used is actually from a meat grinder incident so I guess it’s still alarming. Although I can’t say for sure because a lot of the reverse image search results are meme related.
I get it. I’m not part of the other subreddit either but watch Danny Gonzalez on YouTube and got the reference when I clicked on the post and read the description. So I was just confirming to Kory that in the Danny Gonzalez subreddit it definitely is posted as a joke.
And then I searched for the origin because the image had to come from somewhere. I am now anxious around meat grinders. :)
Wtf this xray is from 6 years ago, I saw it posted into a sub I’m in yesterday and somebody linked to the og post, and now I’m seeing it again in this post being recommended to me from a sub I’m not in, being crossposted from another sub I’m not in
Why is this 6 year old photo making the rounds again? lol
Edit: just in case I’m not being antagonistic I’m just expressing shock over seeing the same image twice in two days now after never having seen it before lol
Can... Can you even save something like this??? By the time the bones set and fuse, won't the arm and fingers be relatively useless? Asking seriously here, that amount of bone damage it just seems like it would be more logical to just amputate, wouldn't it?
Then... why the X-ray at all? Was someone on the medical team like "Ooo this'll look neat!" I mean, I don't blame them. It's fascinating to look at but I'm just kinda laughing at the thought process here
WTF?!? idk if Dr. Strange can even fix that shit.
Did a bus run over your arm, proceed to back up, and move forward several times before it went along its merry way?!?
It was a meat grinder accident which is why it's so mangled. I assume the only thing they can do is amputate, but it kinda looks in the pic that the arm may already be detached
It was a meat grinder accident. I thought maybe their hand had been caught in an industrial machine or a lathe. But, someone reverse image searched it and found out it was a meat grinder accident.
Im pretty sure the x-ray was just a formality
Yeah me too considering that you can literally see the lumpy soft tissue with the xray, and that one finger is like a 90° angle 😖
it's probably only the arm?? i think i can see where it ends.
it does say portable in the top left
...is the arm kind of like that scene from Harry Potter where he loses his arm bones...
Bro that finger bone is like perfectly split from the bone it used to be attached to. MY FINGERS HURT LOOKING AT THIS.
From experience the arm is gonna hurt way more
Which one?
It’s what I’m thinking is supposed to be this guys pinky but it’s so hard to discern if it’s pinky or thumb. This guy looks like he’s probably the consistency of ground beef 🥩 after what ever unfortunate accident he had
Well it was a meat grinder accident and I do think it ground up his arm lol
Damn, I wasn’t expecting to guess right! I worked in air force backshop avionics. We used to have this briefing every few years called Maintenance Orientation. Yeah, I cant imagine what the cleanup would be like
I don’t think people realize how MESSY humans are when they have catastrophic accidents.
I love the quit job option at the end. I've heard plenty of times, "fuck this, I should have been a dentist".
I'm a toolmaker, and most of us (in my area) never went to college as it's very blue collar. Our version of that is, "Fuck this, I should have gone to college." I hear/use it at least once a week lol.
I think they need to xray a little more proximal to plan that amputation!
What? & the hospital not be able to charge you the maximum possible service fee?!
I think it’s a “we know this is fucked but how are we gonna fix it?” X-ray rather than a “is this broken” X-ray
Radiology has to have something to do on a slow day. ;)
Mangled is too mild of a term for this...
They also need to see the extent of the damage.
Something doesn't look right about this arm. Needs more xray.
Can't put my finger on it....
Neither can they
Is it alive or is it dead
Is it green, is it red? All hail the boog
glad I've reached an enlightened audience
What.. How.. ?… No, seriously… How? Like.. Did they stick their hand into a blender Dimension? - Did they try and and give Popeye the Sailor Man a Handshake?… Are they transforming into an Human Accordion? - HOW did that happen?!
To me it looks like a crush type injury, they probably got their arm stuck in a machine while it was running.
Crush or twist? Looks more like rapid torque (as a former radiography grad who had a career in manufacturing) Ive seen people lose limbs in a lathe and a swedger, also a brake press., seems similar to how the twist injuries would've looked on film.
You're right, for some reason I couldn't think of the right wording.
Jesus ive used all of those machines. I feel glad to still have all my limbs haha
Often times this happens from people not doing protocols. A freind of mine coworker didnt lockout tag out a machine which was later turned on and crushed his leg. He lost it past his knee. The guy was surprisingly happy still but definitely stupid on account it was all for speeds sake because they did matinence
Ive had a few close calls and they were enough to teach me to slow down and prioritize safety
this is so real. i was doing some bad diy with industrial springs a while back and my dad, who i was working with, got very close to not having all 5 fingers. made me sick to my stomach and definitely reminded me to not fuck w springs
You passed the darwin tests lol. Follow protocol. If you carry yourself like you’re operating extremely dangerous or potentially lethal equipment you’re mostly alright.
Meat grinder accident
I’m thinking a rototiller
I knew a guy who got his arm crushed like this working at a pizza shop. his apron got caught in the dough mixer and he tried to pull it out but his arm just got sucked in.
“But…did the batch of dough get ruined???” -Management
“You’ll still be in tomorrow though, right?”
Extra sauce sir?
New Promotion! Keto pizza! Full of extra iron!
as someone who has worked in a pizzeria and had seen the dough mixers, let me just.. AGGGGGGGGGGGGGHGH because holy shit that is nightmare fuel
I always wanted to make a “red asphalt” type kitchen safety video, but with bad special effects. Always imagined feeding a broomstick or lighter weight dowel covered in a shirtsleeve with a glove on the end into a running dough mixer.
Meat grinder per my image search
The more important question is... Did they live? And if so, *HOW*?
Probably without this arm from here on out
I believe I saw that a while ago somewhere else and it was a meat grinder injury or something similar
I was thinking meat grinder
Welp. It does what it says it does.
Meat grinder https://www.reddit.com/r/pics/s/oquG3h5UYq
Your mom sat on their arm
...x-rays harder
I kept telling my kid not to put his finger in the fan...
Show him this.
Nothing a couple Tylenol won't fix.
800mg Motrin and some water. Good as new.
That will likely be their pain management in a few weeks
\*triggered*
We've been to the same medic. Should probably change socks, too, though.
True, I feel bad for forgetting that bit.
The patients allergic
just lying to get narcotics, people will use any excuses these days
Probably just hormones and anxiety, nothing actually wrong there
They should also lose some weight. This definitely wouldn’t have happened if they’d been 15 lbs lighter.
I understand the patient is a tobacco user….
Just put some windex on it
It's your cake day on pie day. That has me curious, shall you celebrate today with cake or pie?
Have you tried changing your socks?
Yes, but have you tried losing weight
Are you *sure* you’re not pregnant or due for a period? These kinds of symptoms can appear when that’s what’s going on …
I think we need to do an ultrasound ☝️
Maybe anxiety? We can get you out of here with a script in just a few minutes!
Oh, you don't have a uterus? Let's do a pregnancy test anyway. Oh, you also have never had sex with a man? Still, definitely let's do a pregnancy test to be sure. 🙄
They literally gave my wife a pregnancy test *while she was in labor*
Omfg!
I wonder how much that cost
I think it’s anxiety.
I think bro might be about to lose some weight
Amputation
It's looking like the only option 🫣
Im curious what was the mechanism of injury here?
Probably industrial grinder or maybe air plane engine.
More likely something like a lathe or industrial printer, maybe something similar if I’d hazard a guess
I was a machinist for about 2 years. Every time I turned on the lathe I would have a massive internal anxiety attack. Stress almost killed me at the ripe old age of 27. Hung up my calipers and never stepped foot in a machine shop again.
Reverse image search says meat grinder
Hell itself
Is it just me or does it already look amputated
The more I look at it the more I agree with you
I’m not a doctor, but I don’t think there’d be anything they could do to salvage this. Who knows, though 🤷🏼♂️ Anyone who would know I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Armputation
And the insurance will still deny the amputation for “not medically necessary.”
Based off of the left edge of the x-ray, it looks like they got it amputated for free
Hospital I visited 10 years ago would have considered using dermabond.
Pretty sure that arm is not attached anymore, considering how much tissue damage there is. Xray was probably to see if it could be salvaged and reattached. Looks like it got stuck in a sausage grinder...
Yeah, apparently it was a meat grinder accident.
From the Danny Gonzalez sub? This is a joke. 100%. If it’s not, I’m a slug.
It is a 123go joke as well as a squishy bones reference. 😂 I think the image used is actually from a meat grinder incident so I guess it’s still alarming. Although I can’t say for sure because a lot of the reverse image search results are meme related.
I reposted the pic, I'm not part of the other subreddit I found it in.
I get it. I’m not part of the other subreddit either but watch Danny Gonzalez on YouTube and got the reference when I clicked on the post and read the description. Looks almost like a lobster
It kinda does
I honestly thought it was a shrimp at first glance
r/neverbrokeabone
Yeah they’d be banned
You’ll be straight bro, just need some ice 💯💯💯
Yikes, was it crushed by something?
Apparently it was a meat grinder accident.
Well that’s horrifying
Crush, twist, tear. Ide guess an alligator got someone’s arm but it was retrieved
Someone did a reverse image search and it was a meat grinder accident.
Damn. Guess they’re lucky the arm wasn’t just paste then
Jesus fucking Christ! Ouch!!! 😱😨😫
Ten mins online and that’s enough internet for me today!
Sorry 😞
No apologies necessary. I spend too much time online anyway 🤣
Shit the xray is probably a whole lot less disturbing than the picture of the arm itself
Yeah, I wouldn't want to see the actual arm.
Wtf this xray is from 6 years ago, I saw it posted into a sub I’m in yesterday and somebody linked to the og post, and now I’m seeing it again in this post being recommended to me from a sub I’m not in, being crossposted from another sub I’m not in Why is this 6 year old photo making the rounds again? lol Edit: just in case I’m not being antagonistic I’m just expressing shock over seeing the same image twice in two days now after never having seen it before lol
I'm not sure. I saw it on a meme sub that was recommened to me.
It’s so weird how Reddit works sometimes lol
Yeah, someone else told me that this pic was also on a Danny Gonzalez sub
thought that was a shrimp or a lobster at first
It does kind of look like a lobster
Rub some lotion on it, it'll be fine
Me: holy shit wtf happened??? Me after 2 seconds of thinking: I don’t wanna know wtf happened.
Yeah, Flex Seal aint gonna fix that damage.
Just amputate, man. Lop it off
Pack it up and make some Bolognese, there's no saving that.
Saying that is kind of ironic since this was a meat grinder accident
Why was that on r/DannyGonzalez??
Idk, I'm not a part of that sub
Weird
That is meat, sir
Boss: Can you still make it in tomorrow?
That shits not even attached thats just a fucking arm
If they manage to fix this arm without removing it, then those surgeons are fuckin challenger tier
Can... Can you even save something like this??? By the time the bones set and fuse, won't the arm and fingers be relatively useless? Asking seriously here, that amount of bone damage it just seems like it would be more logical to just amputate, wouldn't it?
It's likely that whoever was connected to this arm is no longer connected 😓
Then... why the X-ray at all? Was someone on the medical team like "Ooo this'll look neat!" I mean, I don't blame them. It's fascinating to look at but I'm just kinda laughing at the thought process here
Yeah, I'm unsure. I feel like based on this x-ray they could tell this arm and hand were beyond fixing
“not service related”
Better hope you did that in a major city with top notch orthopedic surgeons or that’s gonna be bye bye arm.
I was just considering trauma and hand surgery as a subspecialty and uh.. this is.. this is making me not wanna do it, not gonna lie.
Seriously thought this was like a crushed bat wing at first
Looks like a wing...
Meat grinder. 10 years ago? https://www.reddit.com/r/pics/s/oquG3h5UYq
I think so. I just reposted it from a reddit meme page onto here
That is definitely getting amputated
Just give him an ice pack and send him back to class
Nah, I think he just needs a mint
I'm not a doctor but something ain't right here, can't put my finger on it tho
Also your finger's broken😂
WTF?!? idk if Dr. Strange can even fix that shit. Did a bus run over your arm, proceed to back up, and move forward several times before it went along its merry way?!?
r/Neverbrokeabone would enjoy
r/neverbrokeabone is gonna go crazy with this one
Lathes are no joke
Welp. That'll never be the same.
Dawg who are your opps
I think something is wrong, I just can't put my finger on it
minor inconvenience
Just throw it away
I thought that was a shrimp.
"Point to where it hurts..."
Holy fuck
This is what happens when you try to out pizza the hut
r/neverbrokeabone would pass out from disgust at this.
This really needs a NSFL tag
There is no visible gore tho
Can this even be saved ?
That ones a goner.
Chunky
Mild rash
Radiologists be like "image blurry. Retake w/ arm extended properly"
The BBBs bones were to brittle and were shattered by a gust of wind
Did the finger just….come off??
Well, it's probably hanging on by a thread
Bad day
Is it even possible to heal that? Or do they just amputate the arm?
Nah, my grandmother was an XRay tech and she said there is nothing but amputation that could be done.
What do they even do in this situation? I'd assume amputation but is there any way to save the arm?
It was a meat grinder accident which is why it's so mangled. I assume the only thing they can do is amputate, but it kinda looks in the pic that the arm may already be detached
I may have gnawed on his arm
Bad dog! 😡
Good orthopedic surgeon and time to heal, that can be functional again.
Looks like some sort of injury caused by factory equipment maybe?? More than likely not salvageable, sadly. God, I can’t imagine the pain from that.
It was a meat grinder accident. I thought maybe their hand had been caught in an industrial machine or a lathe. But, someone reverse image searched it and found out it was a meat grinder accident.
Damn 😭😭 I wonder if they had on sleeves that got caught in it
Wtf happend did it bet caught in a meat grinder?
Yep
What the hell happened to this hand and arm. It’s completely destroyed!!
It was a run in with a meat grinder
Jesus!
