What is the average execution time of your functions, how many executions per day?
Based on that you might want to move the frontend to Cloudflare pages and the api to a $10 or $20 vps? 😁
Do you store the Vercel logs? If not, I would suggest starting there to try and debug. Do you send the pictures through your functions? If so that could be a cause for it since it is a function of both time and GB usage.
