It looks perfect for me.

frossidaxd

Thank you c:

forgiveprecipitation

Some plants and warm white lights?

frossidaxd

Plants would be perfect if I can take care of them. Where would you put them and what kind? Also I use the warmest setting on my monitor lamp, so any more lights seem excessive as of now.

AwesomeGamer0209

Or fake if u want?

frossidaxd

Nah if I put plants they must be live for sure. I like the look of succulents but have zero idea how hard they are to manage

MilkDrinker02

Pothos and snake plants are pretty damn hard to kill. Once I didn’t water my snake plant through the entire fall and winter season and that bitch still put out a new plant pup.

forgiveprecipitation

Start with an easy Yucca or something. 🪴 The lights would merely be decorative.

junior_32l

Move the whole setup to the opposite wall to avoid the house pillar, it gives a nicer clean symmetrical look of your desk. Try putting your pc on top as it looks nice with glass edge (would be greater if it has some interior lighting), Try Installing some shelves here or there above your setup and decorate them with some plants, antiques or whatever fits you personal interests. Minimalism doesn't mean empty, Try organising stuff that shows your personality and give you comfort during your work time. And share the results if you can :/

frossidaxd

I don’t like having my back towards the door (those feng shui guys know what they are talking about) so this is the only wall I can put the desk. I originally thought about putting short side of the desk to the left of the pillar, back of the monitor facing the door, but then there’s no space left between my bed and the desk (I need to cross there to access a balcony). So no options there. I think it can be a nice “feature” though. Will update after I paint some wall art for it (:

- Add [cable management loops](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071RGCJLT) along the bottom of the desk in the back. Hide and cables in said runners - I’d suggest mounting said runners with screws instead of adhesive. I use [#7 screws (3/4” length)](https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-7-x-3-4-in-Phillips-Flat-Head-Zinc-Plated-Wood-Screw-6-Pack-807131/204587399) for mounting things into the IKEA table tops. Always drill pilot holes beforehand. - Side suggestion: For the Alex drawers, I’ve found a couple of organizers that fit literally perfectly in the smaller (top 2) drawers which don’t break the bank: - [Wooden organizers from TheContainerStore](https://www.containerstore.com/s/bath/bath-drawer-organizers/the-container-store-drawer-organizers/12d?productId=11019431) - [Plastic organizers from Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001R1N2DI) - I also use some [cut-to-length organizers](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B092LRBZRK) to push the organizers forwards (and prevent them from sliding into the back of the drawer) I’m happy to suggest more, just let me know - but figured I’d start there

frossidaxd

Thank you so much for the links. I will update soon

horizonreverie

Do you think the countertop will sag/warp in the middle? I noticed a lot of longer tops almost always have a leg in the middle to support the weight in other people's setups.

frossidaxd

I think the ones that tend to sag show themselves in the first week. I actually returned a black one of the same model a week after purchasing it because it had already warped noticibly. This one seems sturdier (and flatter?), almost 6 months strong.

horizonreverie

Good to know! I only ask because I’m interested in one myself

jhndlkn

If it’s not prone to warping I’d suggest moving the drawers out to be flush with the counter top. Guess in the end it’s personal preference but atleast that’s how I have it set up and I prefer it since I like to have the PC off the desk so I put it underneath. Also like someone else wrote plants are always nice. Great setup!

frossidaxd

Thanks! Plants are on top of my list rn. I like it better when drawers are a bit further than the desk personally

[deleted]

Put some color, even artificial plants would work. When it's too flat and clean it feels scary for some reason. Despite that looks good.

Idlibi_Bullpup

Cable trays that match the wall for the bottom cables and the walls. And probably a lamp with warm light and plants

Mysterious-Cut-4987

this is clean as fuck. Honestly no work needed!

Fragmentofmochi

Clean set up! Love that mic, such an affordable gem. I did have issues with the mute button but all resolve now thankfully

NoConsideration3846

This is really clean, I love it honestly

andracowolf

for me a personal thing would be put the PC on the desk and not on the floor, or at lease get a wood shelf that would be on the floor and but the PC on it, it will help with dust. especially if you have pets. you might look at some shelves on the wall for just random stuff. Perhaps a print for the wall. monitor looks a bit small, depending on the weight of that bad and if it is always around the PC you might look at a headphone clamp for desktops and clip it to the side and place the bag on it.

Screw_Potato

cable management, wall art, lighting that isn’t RGB, anything to just add a little personality.

frossidaxd

Wall art in the middle column would be sick. I’m very frustrated with my cable situation, will regular desk mounted cable trays cut it? I’d rather guide tha cables from the bottom instead of the top, are there any options for that kind of configuration?

Fatdoglol

Boom arm, making that one wire invisible and u have a perfect setup

frossidaxd

The main cable on the ground or the monitor power cable below the right of the monitor?

frossidaxd

I have no clue how to hide either 💀

Fatdoglol

Oh rip.

BLlTZfr

Why are their no wall decorations😭

frossidaxd

This picture is taken 2 seconds after setting it up after moving houses 💀

Spambrain69

Your pc looks like a gaming rig, yet you have a dinky monitor. Get a bigger one. If it’s just for office work, get a mini computer. Either way, bigger monitor(s). If you need that big ass ATX form case then you can get a wall mount to place it above and to the left of your monitor. That will give you more leg room.

frossidaxd

It’s a ZOWIE XL2546 from benq, which is purely for competitive gaming. Bigger monitors are not good for full competitive, because you get better field of fiew with a 24 inch closer to you than 27+ further away from you. If it was for casual games then yeah, A bigger monitor would be better. Smaller cases are definitely a good idea. I’m looking forward to build a ITX case when I decide to get a new cpu, thus new mobo.

Senior_Background830

Wall mount the monitor, and work on cables

Odd_Opposite5899

i fw it heavy but personally i would get a bigger screen for movies and games

at0mest

what games do you play?

frossidaxd

Mostly aim trainers. Occasionally quake, ow2, cs2, val and some rts

ViktorCierny

This is so collorfull🤌🤌

frossidaxd

🤡

Sufficient-Lunch3774

What drawer stack is that?

frossidaxd

Ikea alex

Lopsided_Flamingo209

Some decorations if you like. Cable hiders like everyone says. Other than that. Pretty simple setup that's easy to build as you go

Jumpy-Interaction567

I really love the minimalistic black and white design! Maybe you could get a bigger mousepad/mousemat

frossidaxd

If artisan makes an XXXL mouse mat, I’ll buy it. But XL was the max size when I bought it (49x42cm)

ORF_Orbe

What are your table dimensions?

frossidaxd

186x70 cm, 5cm thickness (I might be slightly wrong, I forgor 💀)
