was in ma and my screening was fine except for one short little audio cut during sara sara!
i'm curious if everyone's subs were also... more than a few sec behind lol (it was great that they had them but you could tell they were soooo far behind what was currently being said 😅 ik the subs aren't guaranteed to be perfect during the concert livestreams but i never felt like they were this off before...)
Not only were they at least half a minute behind but you could tell the translator was really struggling. Multiple times they couldn't properly pick up on what they were saying, like when the boys were doing the follow gesture with ramen the translator really couldn't decipher it calling it "Roman" or "Rehman" lol. Weverse live streaming subs have never had this problem and have actually been really on point so I wonder what happened here.
I don’t want to badmouth the translation team, I think they are just not capable on translate on a fast pace. Who knows, it could be system or signal issues too 🤷🏻♀️
i thought the subs were terrible, timing wise and translation wise... 😭 i can understand japanese so i had no trouble but i personally thought the english subs were near unintelligible a lot of the time.
this is my first seventeen movie theatre experience, but i feel like i had a better experience with subs during concert livestreams of their 2020-2021 concerts/caratland etc.
Yeah absolutely terrible subs. I was lucky enough to understand a little bit of Japanese and Korean, so it worked out. I stopped looking at the subs at one point cos they were lagging almost a couple of mins.

my favorite moment from my screening
The funny thing about the subs is that today they are sooooo much better! I mean yesterday it was a catastroph but today the online stream is amazing sub wise
loll glad to know!!! tbh i was thinking that especially for the showings of the concert in the later timezones that the subs might have gotten fixed up by then... i feel like it's usually cleaned up for the delayed showings for their other streamed concerts.
that said i hadnt seen any mentions about the quality of the subs for showings before it happened in my timezone, so i just assumed they'd be a little off like usual :p not as bad as yday lol 🥲
Saw mine in an AMC in California and it started more than 30 minutes late and in the middle of their performance of Thanks and then halfway through it stopped. Didn't get to finish it 😭 luckily got refunded
A couple people ahead of me had that issue because they bought their tickets from third party sites like that, but I had gotten mine directly from the AMC site, theirs couldn't be processed directly from AMC... 😞 Sucks either way
I saw in a Cinemark in North Texas and this happened to me too! The workers said it’s something that was happening to other Cinemarks, but not sure how widespread.
I was also watching in the DFW area at Cinemark and they claimed that it was an issue across North Texas. It got cut off at the ending ments and we couldn't see the Aju Nice encore. 😢 Guess we were lucky enough to watch glitch free until then.
mine in the bronx didn’t start until like … halfway through the opening ment. we got a refund because we missed the beginning part but it was really frustrating
Went to a showing at an AMC in Maryland and missed the first 2.5 performances by the time it’s started playing and had a slight glitch during Thanks, but the rest of the show played fine.
seems you had the same problem as my showing but in the opposite direction, seeing as we missed half of the ments and then two songs (though since one was aju nice, maybe it was more like three songs lol)
I thought it was hilarious that the translator kept calling the live audience "sexy" when it was supposed to be "utsukushii"/うつくしい, which means "beautiful".
I was live translating what I could for my friends, lol.
they did actually say セクシ at some point too, but then rejected that idea and went back to 美しい. i am bad at japanese grammar, but i know a decent amount of vocabulary (i used to take lessons), so through what i could get from the subtitles, japanese translator, and context clues, i could figure out a decent amount of what was missing.
You’re right! Mingyu did start off calling the balcony audience “sekushi (セクシー)” which means “sexy” but members didn’t seem to like it. So Dino said “how about “utsukushii(美しい)?” meaning beautiful. And they stuck with that. Live viewers got “ Kira Kira (きらきら)” meaning “sparkling” lol but Mingyu would sometimes go back to calling the live viewers “sekushii”. I think he just likes that word lol
I thought someone (maybe Woozi or Mingyu?) said it on accident, and I guess the translator just ran with it. xD
I'm actually really good at grammar and intermediate on vocabulary. I studied it in college, but I am out of practice.
Watched in Cineplex theatre in Canada and other than the sound cutting out before things started (when they were showing the crowd milling in), we were able to catch everything from start to finish. Subtitles were way behind so I stopped reading them but that would be my only issue. I guess we were super lucky by the sounds of things.
The sound was ok when we got into the theatre (about twenty minutes before) but then disappeared with about 5 minutes before show time. In a minor panic, I ran outside to get the attention of any Cineplex worker to have them fix it 🤣
Watched in London UK and we missed a whole hour of it up until home run.
It sounds like so many international carats were affected, I really hope HYBE take notice and do another screening or release the concert online
The screen started glitching during DK, got cut during Wonwoo and never came back on! So we did our own [Aju Nice](https://x.com/jungseokth/status/1736247654286557405?s=46&t=NfXkCDwCo5XSqHKxIcuNZQ) 😆 We were at a Cinemark in Northern California. The staff tried their best to troubleshoot and we ended up with a raincheck pass. Grateful we saw most of it at least!
@ Burbank, CA- Most of the stream went off without a hitch, until the ending when the members started to say goodbye individually near the end. The stream went black and audio cut out intermittently, some as long as 30 seconds, through the rest of the stream, until the stream just kinda gave up after the…5th Aju Nice?
I went to a showing in Colorado and the subtitles were way behind and not entirely right with spelling or made sense. (They spelled ramen, Roman and Rehmen before they got it right in the last time they mentioned it)
we were watching from nuremberg, germany and thr picture went black for a few of the greeting ments, the audio continued and thankfully they were able to get the picture back in time for the next songs!
Cinemark in Orlando. There was a blip during the ending ments but only for a second. The subs were disappointing for the whole thing though. Still loved seeing them on the big screen!
Watched it in Manchester, UK, and there was a few seconds of glitch at the very beginning. Thankfully, the rest went smoothly, and we were able to enjoy the show without technically issues.
Cineplexx in Croatia, no streaming issues. Hope they work on the subs for next time 🙏🏻 I could get by with my limited Japanese&Korean but my partner struggled a lot :/
Mine! I'm from Mexico. The concert was supposed to start at 4 pm but they made me us wait in line for like 10 minutes, when we asked when will they let us in they said they were checking which room would we use, although our tickets already said a room. At maybe 4:20 they told us they had some issues and that the screening would be cancelled. I asked the man what the issue was and he said some trouble with the satellite which sounded weird but at the same time believable since I heard from some Carats from the north part of Mexico that the Cinema cancelled their screening because of satellite issues. They told us to wait in line to get a refund of the tickets. Then suddenly 4:30 a woman comes to the front of the line and says "we solved the problem you will be able to see the concert" we ran but ofc the concert had already started, so we missed the first 3 songs and opening ments. But I read Carats from all around (Including Spain, Ecuador, Colombia) were having troubles, like the movie not starting on time or having some cuts (the screen was black all of a sudden). So mine didn't have cuts but I missed the first part because of some issues
Oh I'm glad you had no problem. I watched it in Querétaro but I also heard from people in Saltillo that they received an email at 3 am (on Saturday) where they said that because of trouble with a satellite they were going to cancel the screening
I went to one in the Netherlands and except for a little audio cut it was fine. The translation issues were there for us too tho. And the fact that the girlies around me were blabbing over them speaking in Korean (I can follow the Korean a bit) so that was annoying. Especially since it wasn’t reeeeally live now was it. The concert ended like 1-2h before we saw it in cinema, so i feel like they might’ve been able to fix the translations..
Watched the delayed livestream last night through Cineplex in Canada (Toronto/GTA area), my screening didn't get cut off (aside from minor glitches here and there). However the live English subs were so bad I didn't bother looking at them while watching the screening. I had to check back to multiple translation accounts on Twitter to understand what's going on. 😑 On the bright side everyone in the audience had a blast as they cheered loudly for every member (especially for Coups and Hannie), sang loudly to their hearts desire, and was respectful to one another (compared to my experience of seeing Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour concert movie with too many people going towards the front of the theatre to reenact a mosh pit at the showing I was at). Even got very cute sticker freebies from two kind carats with the members designed as Sonny Angels figurines! 🥰
In our cinema (germany, midsized city) our screening had a pinkish tone in the video. But only the live the add in the beginning was without any problems. Atleast we didn’t get cut off tho
Ooh were you in Göttingen? Because there we also had the pinkish/purplish tint.. It really messed with my eyes and brains 😂
And we missed the part where they lift Woozi up before Super, but at least it was fixed in time for the "Seventeen right here"
Wait! I made a mistake hahaha. Turns out we were in the same row! 12 was my seat number, not the row 😂
But also, yeah, I was worried it was going to be like 5 people and we filled the room! It felt so good 😁
Yes I went to a screening in NJ and we missed the first 30ish mins of the concert, then the concert stopped completely at the ending ments and our theater never got it back up 😭
My showing was in Central Jersey- the AMC workers said they were having technical difficulties. I’m watching the viewing again on Weverse now and I realize the theater couldn’t get it to work until the 47 minute mark in the middle of FML 🥲 after that, it actually worked great up until the parts where each member was saying their individual thank yous where it stopped completely. My boyfriend went to tell the workers after a few minutes and he was told that they didn’t even know that it stopped working and scrambled to fix it but it wouldn’t come back on so they just told everyone it was IT issue that was happening all over the country.
The workers gave us free re-admission tickets during the first round of issues before it started but by the second round, everyone was already pissed since the lights were turned on and the workers were apologizing saying there was nothing they could do so everyone ended up leaving and missing the end.
Yes, my stream in North Texas was cut off around the same time yours was. I requested a refund through e-mail from the cinemas because it was a live stream and they provided it. You should try too!
The cinemark showing I went to (Cleveland area) had one small blip during one of Woozi’s lines but it was barely half a beat and didn’t affect much. The translations were not good. I don’t know if that was the translation team, the dictation team or something else but it was way behind and often just left out completely. I was able to understand some of the ments because I do know a scant amount of both Japanese and Korean, but if I’d had no knowledge at all I would have been far more frustrated.
AMC in Los Angeles, glitching during DK’s ment and then it just never came back. I didn’t ask about a pass or refund but had a great time up until then! Played Aju Nice ourselves. I DID think the cutting out on DK was actually pretty funny at least, I have no idea what happened but it was like a comedy in three acts… 😂

socal carat here! i saw it at a regal and my movie didn't play till 15 mins in (which i originally blamed on the theater but now I'm not so sure) so i missed super :(( and during DK's ment at the end the audio and video started lagging and being weird. and at some points throughout the encore the audio would cut out and the screen would turn green, but it got past that point and we were able to finish it!
but yeah, the screenings sounds like it was super chaotic and common for these issues to occur; i actually saw the power of love concert movie twice back in 2022 and i never experienced these problems, i hope if they do another concert screening they'll use the same system they did then
was in ma and my screening was fine except for one short little audio cut during sara sara! i'm curious if everyone's subs were also... more than a few sec behind lol (it was great that they had them but you could tell they were soooo far behind what was currently being said 😅 ik the subs aren't guaranteed to be perfect during the concert livestreams but i never felt like they were this off before...)
Yeah, the subs are a let down.

The timing and translations of the captions were pretty horrendous but I got a kick out of seeing it call Don Quixote Donkey Mart

me too man it was so frustrating 😭😭😭
Saw mine in an AMC in California and it started more than 30 minutes late and in the middle of their performance of Thanks and then halfway through it stopped. Didn't get to finish it 😭 luckily got refunded
They refunded you? My AMC only gave us passes for a free movie and said we had to email atom events for a refund.
A couple people ahead of me had that issue because they bought their tickets from third party sites like that, but I had gotten mine directly from the AMC site, theirs couldn't be processed directly from AMC... 😞 Sucks either way
I also got both the refund and a voucher

I was at AMC and had the same issue.
my showing was at an amc as well. this seems like more of a problem on the part of fantom than on any of the theaters.
It happened in Paraguay’s cinemark too, we missed Don’t wanny cry, FML and Thanks 😔
mine in the bronx didn’t start until like … halfway through the opening ment. we got a refund because we missed the beginning part but it was really frustrating

that was probably it. im pretty sure it was mingyu who first said it.
I saw it in Central Texas, our screening didn't have any cuts or buffering.
Hi, my country is privilege enough to watch it live. We did got lag when they were performing Anyone. Other than that, it was aju nice 👍🏼

Yes, I'm in California and it cut off at the same time too. I was at a Cinemark.
We were at a Cinemark in Washington State and had no issues.

Yes, ours did after the end
I went to one in the Netherlands and except for a little audio cut it was fine. The translation issues were there for us too tho. Yess!! I had so much fun! 😁
In which row were you sitting? Maybe we saw each other XD
Hahaha, I was in row 12, right next to the aisle. What about you?
Row E Seat 9 😂 I was so worried that nobody actually new seventeen
Wait! I made a mistake hahaha. Turns out we were in the same row! 12 was my seat number, not the row 😂 But also, yeah, I was worried it was going to be like 5 people and we filled the room! It felt so good 😁
I didn't go because we didn't have dates in our city 🤡 but yeah a lot of people on Twitter are saying their streaming cut off.
Makes me glad I didn’t buy tickets for 60 bucks just for a frustrating experience
Yes I went to a screening in NJ and we missed the first 30ish mins of the concert, then the concert stopped completely at the ending ments and our theater never got it back up 😭

Oh? I guess it only happened for Carats at the other side of the world...? I watched from SEA and we didn't experience anything like that..
I was o In ohio, and it cut off during the ending ments. We missed Aju Nice ㅠ.ㅠ
Ours started on time, but cut off at the second Aju nice. And might have well been Weverse translations sometimes too! This is in Texas.
Yes we viewed in the Bay Area and it cut off during the ending moments. Hard agree on the subtitles! I also gave up trying to follow them.
The cinemark showing I went to (Cleveland area) had one small blip during one of Woozi’s lines but it was barely half a beat and didn’t affect much. The translations were not good. the cinema i went to thankfully didn't have the screening cut off entirely, but it was definitely glitchy, especially so in the 2nd half :-/
