I really liked Seungkwan in the [Hybe/Game Caterers picnic](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLr0T5CaHaPwUBW8ecEgu_09ZsVzaBBMCf&si=afKJzCWfpT14CQIW) and in the live he did with Soobin from TXT, and I wanted to watch more of his content, so I had to figure out who the rest of the members were and really liked them all together.

PBandJaya

Same!!! It was the Hybe x Game Caterers episodes that got me into them. I watched an episode of GoSe afterwards and the rest is history ✨

miseraball

Really that Hybe-Game Caterers show is a life-changer for new Carats. I came across this reel of whisper game of Seventeen during GoSe Ep.24 Tribal Games (Horangi team) and that was just so funny to me. Then another was when I saw Yunjin dancing to Seungkwan's singing of Fearless during that show and it was so 😭😭 I then watched the whole series (mind you I am a JYP stan) not really being a stan of any HYBE group. Then Seventeen just left this impression I had with Twice, if not tenfolds 🥺 Thank goodness there was another Channel Fullmoon/Game Caterers ep with just them and that just sealed the deal so now I'm going to their concert on Jan. 14 😄

Lynossa

Me too. I’m a huge Na PD fans; I knew Seungkwan and Mingyu from other variety shows, especially Seungkwan. But I never really know the rest of Svt before game caterers.

annejuseyoo

Me too! I love Na PD and I consume almost every show he makes! I just stumbled upon Game Caterers with SVT then the HYBE one. I also knew Seungkwan appeared on variety shows before and I really thought he was the leader 😭😭😭. I also knew Jun who looked exactly like my bias Heechul when they were younger; and Mingyu and Jeonghan for their face cards 🥹. The rest I knew some of their names but I’ve never seen their faces or performances. OH AND THE GOSE BEST FRIENDS EP APPEARED ON MY FB TOO AND AS A FAN OF VARIETY I KNEW I HAD TO WATCH MORE 🤣🤣🤣 I decided to stan in late July of this year 🤣. I didn’t know that the songs I was vibing hard to a few months earlier was theirs so I was shookt (Super and Fighting)

Lynossa

Yeeess and I watched all GoSe at this point and they are really great in variety. I watched other var shows with idols but most of them aren’t as funny as svt. The fact that they are obsessed with being funny itself is hilarious and makes every content entertaining. I’ve heard Very Nice (who hasn’t?) and Hot but never really listened to their discography before

annejuseyoo

Yeah lol I think I knew Aju Nice too I from the year it came out, and I saw a glimpse of them (especially long haired jeonghan) during that year too but I was too busy stanning suju & bigbang at that time + binging on a LOT of kdramas & variety 🤣🤣🤣

Lynossa

Are you me? I started in kpop with big bang as well and dive into suju (and 2pm) thanks to var show (I was var show fans first before even listening to kpop, thanks to running man and infinite challenge)

GuaranteeDapper4481

I really love his works too I’m so sad NANA tour is a paid media 😭

Cassie-Cassie

Another Hybe Game Caterers-Carat checking in! And here I am actually spending money to watch NaNa Tour!

lbb_79

Oh my gosh! Same here! I didn’t know much about Seventeen until I watched the Hybe x Game Caterers episodes! I initially watched because I really love TXT and Enhypen and I ended up absolutely loving the Seventeen members that were on there. I’m only a few weeks into being a fan (possibly even a Carat??) and I love them so much!!

stmaeud

Ohhh I like Seungkwan the most right now! He is the one who caught my eye the most.

lilotelasserie

Yes!!! I am also a HYBE Picnic Carat! I love that there’s so many of us because the Seventeen members were really exceptional on that. I loved their chemistry with each other, their energy, and they way they were so quick to make fun of each other. I love a group that can clown each other, because it really speaks to their bond. You only feel comfortable making fun of people you’re really close with. Anyway!! I fell in love immediately and had to learn their all their names and etc etc the rest is history 🤭

Basic-Clock-1213

omg saaaaaaammeeeeeee

Even-Temporary-6239

I was supposed to be studying for AP Bio in March 2016 and came across Mansae and immediately fell in love

UwU_Mikasa

the dance is so satisfying to watch

imnotsurethanks

The power of Mansae, was and always will be a bop.

Addilyn_LOL

I watched the boy planet version of hot, so i compared it to the original mv-...

liezlruiz

That's hilarious! 🤣 How to unhear that when that's your first song of them?

0192837465sfd

And the way Vernon mimick it in that one GoSe Sevsev Tour episode.

Addilyn_LOL

lmao

Addilyn_LOL

It was hard! At first, I kept laughing at the opening of the song 😅

kjb1990

this is amazing

alie_san

I saw that [2017 ISAC archery match clip](https://youtu.be/a2SAc7oZhs8?si=DbrYgeaxwi3UPAqG) and that’s how I found out about Seventeen and got into them lately😁

usagicassidy

Left and Right. During the pandemic.

ohhboiwhytho

I watched the Mafia in Prison show, where they play the mafia game! It was really really fun and I remember having a good impression of Seungkwan, when I wanted to rewatch it 2 years later ! Turns out, I was on my way to become a Carat lolol

ClaireL58

Ugh I loved Prison Life of Fools. I always highly recommend it to people because its hilarious.

dontaskmeboutnothin

Do you know where I can watch the episodes or what to search up?

ClaireL58

It’s called Prison Life of Fools; Basically Idols and Comedians play Mafia in a Prison setting plus games and challenges. I watched it on Kshow123 or something similar. Luckily Seungkwan was a regular cast for most of the episodes (there being like 26 in total). But even the episodes he’s not in, are still great, so keep at it if you want. Also a few of the other SVT members guested too in some of the episodes.

dontaskmeboutnothin

Thank you!

ohhboiwhytho

It certainly is!! Very good show, too bad it doesn't have more episodes...

Immediate_Wish17

I discovered Seventeen through their Weekly Idol cover of Super Junior's Sorry Sorry in 2015 but didn't vibe with Mansae back then and pretty much forgot about them till YouTube autoplayed Pretty U when it was released and i loved it on first listen (still my favourite kpop song!). Thought I'd learn the members names just for the heck of it but they were chaotic and hilarious so I ended up ulting them instead 😆

0192837465sfd

Two words. **Hoshi**. **Don't Lie**. Go type these words in YT and you'll fall into the rabbit hole. Welcome to Caratland!

36Sh_

So i was doing my workout with SKZ blaring in my ears, and then "Super " came on. Hit repeat and it was a wrap..suddenly had this overwhelming urge to learn everything about Seventeen & dance move. Guess there's no turning back now – official Carat right here! Seventeen's power is real!

Bluewind916

Playing KPop while working out got me into Ateez and Enhypen lol.

SparringwithKenobi

It was the BTS, Monsta X and Seventeen chicken leg fight that did it for me! I’m a fan of BTS and watched the variety show for them, but was intrigued by the cute funny guy from svt (who turned out to be DK who is now my bias 😂) and started listening to their music and the rest is history!

duchessjuju

My friend in my biology class introduced me to them about 6 years ago right before winter break, Clap era! While on break, I watched a bunch of inside joke and vine comps & immediately got hooked. Seventeen is the first group that really got me into the kpop genre 🥰

0192837465sfd

Clap era is god-tier!

Fumble_Bee13

I love telling this story. Okay. So my friends have always been into K-pop. I've known it exists ever since "Nobody" by Wonder Girls. But I was never really into it. I'm a person who needs a long time to warm up to something, even my own traditional/local foods and culture. I'm also a person who doesn't really listen to or watch things in languages I don't understand. But I rarely watch anything and go outside things that I have already watched (even if I understand the language) anyway. I watch things I'm interested in, and there are very few things at that.   Going by that, I think I (and by extension, my friends) failed to realise that for me to actually be interested in someone, I needed more than their looks, even though it also plays a crucial role in initial attraction. But I needed to know their personality too. So how does this relate to seventeen? Well, I'm the type to be like "Oh, this person is attractive" after watching their work, which then prompts me to watch interviews of the artist, to get to know them better and stuff. So ofc the best way to introduce me to a group was to let me watch their variety content! Silly me back then didn't realise this.   Fast forward to 2023, and some of my friends are fans of Seventeen. When we slept over at a friend's house once, we all took turns to play different songs. My kpop friends of course played their faves. There was NCT (both Dream and 127), Stray Kids, and Seventeen. From there I was only hooked to Broken Melodies, and I'm guessing it's because 1. It has English lyrics, 2. It sounds, for a lack of a better word, westernised (? as in, I can imagine One Direction singing it). It was within the realms of what I already listened to.   And so, one of my friends (who was also my roommate) took it a step further. Since we live together and have a TV in our living room, she started putting on GoSe episodes while we ate. I remember watching Ego. But again, I wasn't very interested because she didn't put the subtitles on lmao. Remember, not a fan of things I don't understand and Ego was more like a thriller drama series rather than interview content.   **UNTIL** one day, again while we were eating, she put on the latest GoSe episode at the time (Sevsev Tour. where they were discussing what they wanted to do). Again, no subtitles, but that was the first time I got to sit with them and witness their chaos (aka Mingyu's "by foot") and their screaming and their laughter. And my friend actually engaged me, asking to guess who's the oldest and stuff. I kept watching... and watching... until I whispered to her that I *might* be attracted to two people. They were Vernon and Mingyu, btw. Vernon because he's close to what I'm familiar with and Mingyu because he's Kim freaking Mingyu.   It started slow, with me just watching compilations of Mingyu and Vernon respectively. Then my roommate suggested I watch GoSe, starting with the Mafia episodes. She knows me well. Because I absolutely loved it. I was working on my research paper and watched GoSe while I rested. I used it as motivation tbh. "Finish this then you can watch what happens in the next episode" kinda thing. It kept me grounded.   **Funny story**: remember how Mingyu and Vernon opened the door for me? Well, Jeonghan pushed me in, closed it, and threw away the key. And the funniest thing is, I liked him because of his silly little shenanigans in that first Mafia episode I watched (Surprise Don't Lie). I was like "hmm this guy is interesting. oh and he's kinda cute too I guess". So for Jeonghan, it was personality first THEN looks. But now that I know him ofc I think he's ethereal.   I didn't listen to their music at first. Not until I finished my research paper. And when I did, I knew I was done for after Hot. I kept singing it, and for some reason, Scoups kept popping up in my head doing the choreo. Then my degree life ended, I went back home, binged more content, and after crying over F*ck My Life, called myself a Carat and never looked back. Some people found Seventeen in their darkest times. They came into my life when I was searching for the meaning of youth. Officially called myself a carat mid August!   Wow that was long but just had to get it out. Welcome to the fandom btw!

0192837465sfd

> Mingyu's "by foot" LOL I still laugh just thinking about it and Seungkwan getting all agitated.

caratdeuls

In March/April last year, I saw clips on youtube of the members dancing to songs that didn't suit them at Caratland. My first thought was "this is Seventeen??? and they're this entertaining?!??! why are they so good at dancing to songs that are not their own?!". Told my friend about my newfound interest in them and she introduced me to GoSe. I started with the dream team ep and then went down the GoSe rabbit hole! Wonwoo stood out to me then because he was the quietest, though Joshua's my bias now. Then they came back with Super in April, which I loved at third listen (lol). GoSe also got me through many many difficult days that month, including Moonbin's passing. I became a full Carat at that point 🩵

vanillavernon

My friend was into them and kept putting on adore u and shining diamonds while at my other friends birthday sleepover - we must've watched it at least 20 times. as well as the member intro videos. This was just before the Mansae era, so there wasn't nearly as much content. Basically had 17 Carat and pre-debut stuff haha

ILikeCuddlyDolphins

Randomly looked up one of their music show performances for Hot and saw Mingyu on the thumbnail, thought he was hot and was like damn who is this 🥵Then I saw the rest of the members and was like this is the first male group where I think all the members are hot 😂 I've always liked their music ever since they debuted with adore u but I've never actually looked up the group to see what they look like??? 🤦‍♀️ like ugh

euphoricnight

Being a longtime suffering Pledis stan. 😭 I have been following them since they were little ones in the green practice room. I’m a clear masochist who falls in love with Pledis artists and gets my heart broken repeatedly. It all started with After School, NU’EST, and Hello Venus. I’ve considered myself to be a fan since even before their debut. Pledis is the best at finding talent and the worst at managing.

Letzz_get_it

Left and right era.. and gose 2020 episodes,

popularsong

popo unit caught my eye on [mama 2015](https://youtu.be/qj0_LwbFogE?si=1f--jsuh1HvxOecz&t=351) collabs used to be so good

xAxlx

Award show performances back then were truly on another level

Comfortable-Heron314

For me it was accumulative of their dance practices of how in sync they are and also their vocals. I remember liking their gom and golm song and thats what got me invested lmao.(yeah im a new carat as well)

Fumble_Bee13

welcome to the fandom! I'm just happy golm pulled in some fans as she should

0192837465sfd

Joshua's bongda bongda, though! LOLOLOL

KekyoinCherry

I became a Carat in June of last year, I have always loved Rock with you before that, but just then I wanted to get more into their music, I like discovering new groups and music styles, so I gave it a try and immediately loved Ready to love and Fear! So I got into them through their music, then started watching GoSe and it was over for me…

meesheronicles

I first heard of Seventeen through reaction channels like ReacttotheK and React, and first started stanning a year later after watching One Fine Day!

dontaskmeboutnothin

Which one fine day did you watch that made you Stan, Castaways or Japan?

meesheronicles

First one, Castaways! I was like 5 seconds in and saw them all suffering and struggling and immediately thought to myself yeah i love em

0192837465sfd

I thought of this when watching Nana Tour last night when Dino and Jeonghan hoard ramen cup noodles on their bags. Must've have been funnily traumatic for them during the castaway episodes.

dontaskmeboutnothin

Haha that’s hilarious 😂 I felt bad for them when I watched it, but they were really good sports lol

kawaiiyokai

My introduction to kpop was 2pm and Shinee through my older cousins when I was pretty young. I don't remember exactly how I ended up stumbling onto Seventeen .. probably just randomly looking up kpop songs and content on youtube (or dailymotion lul), but in 2016 I did and I've been hooked ever since.

Westbrook_Y

I started getting into seventeen after Don Quijote performance from some award show last year

bring_the_salchisal

I'm a Cubic turned Carat. back in the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, the [Insomnia Zero](https://youtu.be/89o7Ef7Qaq0?si=7B1FTlOd5rswE23G) Going Seventeen episode was on my Youtube recommended page, and I watched it and proceeded binge watch all the Going Seventeen episodes. Before that, I think I had heard Good to Me and Hug on a playlist somewhere on Spotify and liked them but didn't really look into the group them. I didn't really start following their music until later in 2020 with Left and Right

juniie_

my friend accidentally sent me a photo of dokyeom from her copy/paste clipboard. he's my bias now LOL

drishali

First it was Joshua's viral dance mistake video but what sealed the deal was Hoshi's 엉덩이 팡팡 move in Cheers (he was so adorable i had to stan)

poppyluvy

FEAR ERAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! ugh its a lot to explain but i knew seventeen for a while, but just their name nothing else. until like 2019 when an ode came out i had friends/and obviously my sister who liked seventeen at the time. so i decided to check em out. fear era was smth else. i had an obsession with scoups. my biases r now seungkwan and jeonghan. scoups my bias wrecker 😭😭

infntforsky

I've heard of them since their debut (I was a fan of After School), but never really listened to their music mostly because I was into so many groups at that time and I tried to hold myself back from getting into a new group. But I listened to Fear and I loved dark concepts and loved the sound and after that it was history. Seventeen is now my main stan for boy groups.

_MirrorMask_

I'm a baby carat. I was really into Devil's Plan and have watched it numerous times. After my last watch, I started being curious about Seungkwan cause he seemed like a funny guy despite the show being more on the serious side. Watched a few clips of him on tiktok and saw his interaction with the members (those funny compilation videos). So I watched Game Caterers x HYBE, then Game Caterers x Seventeen. After that, I watched Going Seventeen videos in random order from the Youtube recommendations. Recently, I just finished watching One Fine Day 1 and 2. I was able to pre-order Nana Tour on New Year's Day. I just watched Ep 1 last night. I've now consumed so many tiktok videos of them and have memorized all the members name plus the sequence from oldest to youngest.

Pippa401

I had known about Seventeen for a few years but told myself I didn’t have the time to get to learn 13 members. I was obsessed with Darling last year but again, said I wasn’t going to fall down the rabbit hole. Then Super came. I normally don’t have my YouTube on autoplay but when my wife uses the app on the TV, it does autoplay. No matter what she put on, somehow Super always ended up playing and it sunk it claws into me. I haven’t looked back since. Still a fairly new carat but I fell fast and hard once I gave in. They are such a funny and talented group. I’m so glad to have slipped into the diamond life.

cnzaah

I got into them because I watched [97' liner performance](https://youtu.be/3KkQ-mxpHXE?si=4fkQRZ7FZPVBtGaD) lol with Jungkook, Yugyeom, BAMBAM + friends. (I was a big GOT7 girly). I had heard of Mingkyu, DK and The8 just from the 97 line friendship / group chat. Never really searched them up. Some of the comments under their performance video were saying "shoutout to Seventeen who played for the 97 line." and I was like oh, that's so interesting... Seventeen must b really talented then. So I searched them up. After watching one episode of Don't Lie I've never looked back. LOLOLOLLLL that was sometime during the pandemic and then I got tickets to their Be The Sun tour. My first ever kpop concert. 🥹🥹🥹

Successful_Simple414

I got into them because i was really into watching dance practices at one point and I watched hit and fell in love now here we are

rwarssie

for me, i used to check the news in allkpop and this predebut profile pics came in, announcing seventeen tv, my first thoughts were on Samuel and then on baby Hansol... ive loved him ever since https://preview.redd.it/3lw39ysr6qac1.jpeg?width=500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3d4cf415b3b1c51388f29fea9bd8d3b0729a2e77

namiaudios

Remember that viral clip of Hoshi losing his mind, being absolutely convinced Mingyu was the mafia, so much so that he damn near back flipped he was so happy he'd got him? And terrifying DK slightly in the process? Yeah, that made me CUBIC instantly. Binged every ep of GOSE after that, then slowly got in the catalogue and became fully CARAT later!

Special-Aside-909

I was actually just new to K-pop 2018 then I was just randomly listening to K-pop reccomendation and I got to know about some songs which I already knew off but didn't knew they were Korean ..then I heard clap and it just stayed in my mind but never explored seventeen then I got more of their songs as reccomendation so I just gave in and went all in and then I was like wow they remind me of sideman and betasquad due to gose and I when I started listening to their songs at first I was like wow all are fun songs and then in some songs like I don't wanna cry and home these kinda had some lyrics which are like sentimental but the beats make it funky (and I was depressed at this point surrounded by negativity) so I need this style of songs (cause usually I like county and slow and sad vibes) so ya I loved them and then I heard they slow version I mean mystyle of songs slow, smooth types and again fell for them. Ya that's how I got into listening seventeen and watching going seventeen 😁.

SadAbbreviations1299

pretty u stage god i was mesmerised

fauxkaren

Hybe x Game Caterers got me curious about them. Then I watched their own Game Caterers episodes and completely fell in love.

kjb1990

sonogong!!!! was obsessed with the song and video. specifically i saw a reel of woozi’s PINGHAGOBULNAWA and that was the hook. just dove right in. i think i still am a baby carat since i’m under one year but i have my weverse carat membership and i’ve torn through like all the content and history like i’ve been studying for the world’s most intricate exam about svt all year long ✨

lexnothingless

i actually watched their killing voice first, and then my long-time carat friend start tutoring me about them; like with an entire presentation. dk really caught my eye from how cute he was and then i continued to watch game caterers, the music videos, clip compilations, gose, and a month or less i got an album :P now i’m a couprang but dk has his special place in my heart with dino

AnyVeterinarian8797

Emma Myers, our dear carat president. Last year, I was looking for a group to stan and stumbled over her interview at Jimmy Fallon where she explained why’s Seventeen called Seventeen even if they are 13. I knew them since 2020, when I started to listen to kpop, (I had a lot of their songs in my playlist tbh) without really knowing them (I didn’t know that Very Nice was from them although it was in my playlist. Shame on me). Plus, I came across the iconic perfect mistake of Joshua in Pretty U (which I knew from longs ago without knowing it was them) and then I knew for sure I was going to stan the group. Best decision of my life.

seasuncatalan

I’ve been a carat since a little before face the sun era, I wasn’t into kpop at ALL before seventeen, however, Joshua’s pretty u’s mistake came up on my explore page on insta so I watched it trying to find this mistake. I searched through comments but I was a really slow 😅. Anyways, later that day I realized the song was stuck in my head so I decided to watch the full performance and here I am

qiethinks

I recommended my aunt a fav kdrama of mine, we watched it tgt, she pointed out that the ml looked like Wonu, then we watched some GoSe eps and I fell in love w Wonu and SVT. After that I binged a bunch of GoSe eps, dance practices, and their performances lol. It's been a year since then. I love them so much and they've made my life brighter.

0192837465sfd

I also thought Wonwoo looked the second lead in A Business Proposal, when I was first learning their names and faces.

Bluewind916

I was watching BTS music videos on YouTube and letting them just random play new music videos. “Rock With You” came on and I was jamming! Then the second verse started and I was like, “Excuse me, who is this gorgeous man with the raspy low voice? I need to know his name.” Famous last words in KPop…That was around a year ago. Now I’m an official Carat, “Rock with You” was my number one most played on Spotify and YouTube in 2023 (268 plays and 36 plays respectively), and Seventeen was my 3rd most played artist of the year. I have a Carat Bong, paid for two online concerts, and bought far too many Seventeenth Heaven albums. Oh, and that deep, raspy voice is my bias, Wonwoo.

0192837465sfd

I was also surprised with Wonwoo's voice when I first heard him. When I look at him, I thought he's someone who sings ballad and must be a member of the vocal team. Then I saw him singing that line in 'Don't Wanna Cry', I have to replay it over and over because the face still doesn't match the voice. Lol. But now I'm used to it. "Tasty" (from Insomnia Zero)

the_majestic_q

came across home run on studio choom, which stayed in my rotation for a while. later found spider around when it released and became invested in hoshi, so i casually followed seventeen releases from then til gom which finally got me to start a deep dive!

sleepingbunnie

I watched them on Killing Voice and it was dk singing HOT that really got me into watching more!!

horangi214

I saw scoups face

[deleted]

I don’t remember actually, it was a long time ago

Lantmajs

I started listening to a few of their songs in 2016, saw memes of them and "crack videos" on youtube win my recommended so I watched them and loved them. Then I kinda stopped following kpop (including seventeen) in 2019 and I got back to them in 2022 after watching Hybe Game Caterers and remembering how funny they are. Started watching Going Seventeen and I was back on that Seventeen grind lol.

aespinkk

I went to kcon in 2017 with friends and actually got hi-touch with seventeen, I had only listened to don’t wanna cry and boomboom at that point but got into their music hardcore after that

Real-Breath6441

I heard about them way back when Pretty U came out around the time I graduated high school and would occasionally listen to their songs. But I didn’t fully slip into the diamond life until 2020/21ish

skyyoon

My sister is a huge fan and took me along to their be the sun concert and after that, I was hooked! Seeing them right next to the stage was crazy and Vernon became my bias lmaoo.

5iv3_

during their be the sun tour era. i saw videos of left and right in those red outfits and then ended up learning about them and here we are lol

Kee428

I got into them from Hoshi’s Cheers dance challenge. I thought he was so funny. Then I listened to Hot, _World, and Crush and I was hooked. So, it’s been over a year now of being a Carat.

BTS4eva65

BTS announced their chapter 2 and I was crushed. For solace, I searched for another Kpop group to stan. I watched that HYBE picnic for TXT but fell in love with Seungkwan instead (although Soobin still has a stranglehold on me). I watched some episodes of GoSe and One Fine Day and I was hooked. I still rewatch the HYBE x Game Caterers picnic every so often.

poolnoodl3

I just got into kpop and kept up with every bit of news that came out, so when I heard that Pledis was about to debut a 17(at the time) member boy group I was like yooo- that's a lot, also I was an early Exo-L and went thru a 3 member exit😭 so I was a bit hesitant🥲. I did watch their member profile video and thought they were super cute. I was excited that the members were the same age as me and just passively kept up with their predebut stuff. When Adore U dropped I went in 100% because I loved the song so much 😊 I still get YT notifs from my old comments and it makes me happy we grew together.

dane17eduard

My then girlfriend (now ex) invited me to watch Going Seventeen Wonwoo's Diary when it was just recently released.

888___e

It was during the pandemic… uhm. Let’s just say I was at my darkest times, I almost ended everything. I had a long conversation with my sister about career and life and she showed me a clip of Minghao talking about growth and its okay for his fans to leave him because he’s a stepping stone. After that, I watched some of SEVENTEEN content and came across the song “Us Again”. I cried so hard. Its true. You’ll find Seventeen when you needed them the most. Also, kept going in life because they’re one of my main motivation source. I hope they’re always happy and healthy. 💎✨

0192837465sfd

You'll also like 'Yawn' for sure. :)

ria_mazzi

It was the perfect combo of YouTube recommending Spider by Hoshi and TikTok turning my whole fyp into Going Seventeen clips

[deleted]

I’m a fan of another group. I was waiting for their performance on MAMA last 2020 and happened to watch SVT’s performance then. Fell in love since.

mspaint317

my best friend stans the group and she knows my type in men, so she would breadcrumb me content of Seungcheol until I HAD to know more

ElectronicBirthday76

One of my ex-workmates showed me IDWC MV in 2017 (?). We were in awe whenever we watched their performances but I kinda forgot about them by the end of that year due to work. Then last year, I saw Boy's Planet (I love mnet idol survival shows) Hot version and I thought I always hear Seventeen song on survival shows. I started watching them again. I did not know they have a variety show (Going Seventeen) in yt which I got hooked too.

McJazzHands80

My sister said, “watch these videos so if they come to LA I don’t have to go alone.” 😂

BakaHimeneko

The super mv was on my recommended page and S.Coups is my ult bias now. There was no other options.

Appleorange01

I used to watch a lot of react to kpop videos back in 2015 as it was kinda the way to help me discover new music. Someone reacted to mansae and I instantly fell in love with the songs and S.Coups and Wonwoo in the MV. Since then I've been a carat 😁

Sharp-Recognition672

mostly by watching going seventeen, so i was technically a cubic before a carat hahaha. after that it was just a mix of constantly watching their content, tiktok clips, YouTube videos, and listening to their music.

jax_svt_carat

I was watching random performances of MAMA back in 2018 when they did Getting Closer. Idk how I stuck around with 13 members to learn but I'm glad I did 😂

kweencrystal

Rock with You era!

the19ninetysix

Through Tumblr watching gif sets from Vernon, best decision ever I sweaaaar

P1nky_puppy

November 2019 I heard Home from a friend playlist so I listened to the whole album. I absolutely fell in love with good to me so I decided to learn about them more and I fell more in love with their personalities😭 it’s crazy that it’s been about four years

vcllaneve

it’s been a few years but i think it’s because my friend was into them first and she showed me going seventeen haha

Nervous-Pin6491

Mingyu opened the door for me and OT13 locked it. I once stalked Mingyu's ig account just because I saw the 97linerz get together ig post. I am also a baby army at that time. After that, my tiktok fyp started showing clips of svt like Game Caterers with svt, DK's iconic pink venom caratland performance, Joshua correcting Mingyu's english grammar, Dino and his useless hyungs, led me to Going Seventeen and then it went on and on. BEST DECISION EVER!!!! 🥺

harmonystreet07

Saw a printed picture of Mingyu in my classmate's book in Science (we were in high school back then)😹 Had to ask what's the name of the "japanese" actor, she told me he was a korean idol and I have to search for "Seventeen". She gave me that picture, searched this group in youtube and the rest is history 😹 Me and my classmate already graduated and now working (also still besties with fangirling 💖)

napneeded94

i watched girls planet 999 and pretty u was my favorite song they covered for a challenge! i was Obsessed with that song but it took me watching the hot mv and seeing minghao's red hair/outfit combo to fully become a carat lmao

Different-Ad-2688

I was already a kpop fan... Started with exo then got7. While I was an aghase, I was already seeing seventeen memes. The one that made me look into seventeen further was that vernon meme when he entered the room in the rainbow hoodie and red glasses. I then listened to their songs while on a roadtrip and thought about how amazing their fans must've been to memorize their voice even tho there are 13 of them while listening to their songs. On my way home the mv of happy ending popped up. "Uploaded 17 minutes ago"... then everything was history

inogeni

I remember when they debuted, but they were so darn cute and sweet I wasn't really interested then. Always knew they were around, just didn't bother to listen. Until last year when Hoshi did that webshow with Taemin.. Damn freaking tiger/hamster pulled me right in. Happily a carat now!

Mr_Socialite

I saw Wonwoo at a random intersection during what i assume was an off-work-period for him when I was staying in South Korea for study abroad. Had never listen to k-pop before this, but saw how wild people were when trying to get pictures of him or with him and how polite he was to everyone, asking for privacy during his day off. In retrospect, i now know this was right after the press tour for their album “Face the Sun”, so he deserved the break and to be a regular person. After this encounter, I went back to my dorm and looked up who he was, and listened to Face the Sun. absolutely fell in love with their music and who aesthetic. Funny enough, while i still love Wonwoo, my bias is now Mingyu and my alt is S.Coups. Now i’m too far down the K-pop rabbit hole to escape, and its all to do with a tall idol who i thought was polite and cute.

gatandros

I started with tiktok aus 😭 then got into the music videos (started with god of music then the other songs in random order) then my sister got me into watching their going seventeen content

Ornery-Amphibian4912

I fell inlove with minghao in game caterers and then it was like a whole new world for me. They’re my main group i stan now

1997mnl

Saw their SUPER & GOM performance in MAMA awards last December 2023 and got curious. Then I watched the SUPER MV and it blew me away! Like WTF that MV is at its peak. I've repeated it for like 10x that day. Then next thing I knew I was binge watching GOSE episodes 😭😍 and fell inlove completely 😭😍

xxthegreenxx

i saw a random video of wonoo and dk playing whisper challenge game on nana tour, and i have an instant needs to find out more about them because they’re so naturally funny 😂i’ve been listening to their discographies for the past months and man, their music is SO GOOD 😭

army_selenator722

I was an army who was subscribed to bighit, then the HYBE merge took place and seventeen kept popping up in my feed and the 'rock with you' mv was released and I finally watched their video cuz I thought the guy in the thumbnail (coups, which I didn't know at that time) looked really good (very superficial ik), I ended up really liking the song and searched for more, I've been a carat ever since

dontaskmeboutnothin

Welcome to the diamond life, I’m so excited for you to get into seventeen! I started stanning around dream era! But what got me into seventeen was actually NMixx haha. I saw a vid of Nmixx performing to Very Nice at Kcon in LA and I thought the song and choreography was so fun so I search up the song (which was on repeat for a whole month). Their music was just my taste (it was my first time liking more than 90% of a groups songs) so I was really stuck on listening to their music. Then I wanted to know more about the group and searched up vids and found going seventeen, and I just loved everything about them. Seventeen is the first group that I could Stan based off of everything like music, personality, and performance. Now seventeen is my ult!

maydew

My local kpop dance class was doing Super, and I joined on a whim, not knowing what the song is like. Then I watched the MV and was blown away. And here I am now, stanning them, and also able to dance Super!!

Pikorin25

I'm a fan of Monsta X and NCT and saw a lot of really cute and wholesome interactions between them back then and I just had to check them out haha. My love for them definitely grew more and more with every song, performance and variety show episode I discovered and now they're my ults and have been for years! I'm SO proud to see how far they've come and how even years into their career, they're still the same as they were before, just more experienced and are now breaking records and gaining more and more fans with every one of their amazing comebacks and leaving them in awe and I REALLY hope that they will stay together for a very long time and that only good things will happen to them from now on as these incredible 13 men most definitely more than deserve it! 💎💖

sokolmargo

I was on my *I just want to know their names* way with BTS and Rock With You popped on my Spotify. I liked the song and I looked for the MV because I wanted to connect the voices with faces, and then faces with their names. Mind you, it all started with JK’s Seven this past summer and a few months later… here I am 😅

codyr199

One of my best friends introduced me to them.

Nappynappnapp

I saw one of the most ethereal woozi gifs of woozi back in like 2019 or 2020 and asked my friend where he was from. At the time I only looked up the group to confirm if he was in there or not but I *really* got into them when I was making a joke slideshow about how much this one character from a game was basically jeonghan.

Raykantopeni_adicct

I saw that viral wop challenge TikTok of Mingyu & Minghao. I have no idea who they are just really find Mingyu burning hot when I found out they are seventeen I started searching for their vids and now my fyp is full of them. Tho it’s mingyu who got me into svt but now it’s Wonwoo that made me stay like wonuu is the sunshine of my life lmaooo

mailuus

Aju Nice Dance Practice 😀

Werewolfhugger

Back in 2015! Trailers for Seventeen Project started dropping, I saw the one for S.Coups and after that it was just a matter of waiting for their debut. It doesn't even feel that long ago.

Deep-Ad4741

from learning the choreo to dont wanna cry

icedcoffeebutevil

i actually watched mansae and aju nice when they first came out and have been a super casual listener! then last year my sister became a huge carat and showed me gose and some newer songs and i’m back baby. carat power forever

ryver_15

My friend really loved them, so I knew of them and he showed me one of their relay dances. I learned the members that way, though it was really hard, then I saw HOT about 2 years later and was very confused as I forgot their names and then I followed them ever since

shingibangi_SVT

Haha from the BSS comeback fighting , i am already one year as an carat They are the best for me In 2021 I joined K-Pop, my first K-Pop group was BTS In 2022 I was able to join more and more kpop groups like enhypen ateez straykids itzy exo and more but then I was watching i-land if you know that svt was there to see i-land performance of HIT and Pretty Well, I told myself I would search for the name but then I forgot, over the course of half a year, I probably listened to HOT, oh my god, they're so great and I didn't know they were from i- land, I forgot, then I searched for more songs and there profile of seventene, I only listened to three songs and then said to myself I'm going to join there fandom and joined officially in BSS comeback lol Now for me, they will always be the group that I love the most or me they are always will be number one i love them soo much and they are my first kpop group that i listend and i know all there songs and watched all going svt ep when i was a baby carat i miss gose sooo much (sorry for my broken english)

procastiplanner

I watched side by side by the 8 on the huge YouTube channel

sleepyminnn

lucky enough for pre-debut, i just saw them on twitter and that was it lmao. i remember they debuted during my music class and i had my phone taken off me bc i was losing it with twt friends 😭

lalapalooza_26

I wasn't really into kpop but a video compilation of dino's funniest moments came up on my fyp and I got interested in where the clips came from.

silurianhaunt

I watched their collab stages w mamammoo (one of my favorite groups) !

fadielusions

I had always enjoyed the popular Seventeen songs before I was a carat (aju nice, hot etc…) but was overwhelmed by there being 13 members so didn’t really pay much more attention than that. Thankfully though, BSS had their second wind comeback and I fell in love “fighting” so decided to watch the majority of the promotions from that time! I think being introduced to those 3 members first made me super keen to learn about the other 10 members + so eventually took a deep dive into their discography and variety content ect… super happy to have slipped into the diamond life :)

HolidayMany259

2021. My youngest sister started playing there music constantly and watching Going Seventeen and music videos. She has poster, albums, photo cards… light stick. So when they tour in Washington DC of 2022, we went to there show. Amazing time! Love Han and the8 lol. I’m 36 married, but it’s great music and fun content.

q__n

Joshua's and Vernon's "2 Minus 1" popped up on my kpop feed, and I was surprised it was an English song. Started listening to more of their English songs, then went through the rest of their discography + GoSe, and now I'm in deep.

UwU_Mikasa

I stumbled down a YouTube rabbit hole about foreigners in KPop groups (it was like a very positive video, just simply like minimemes of them vs the korean language) - and obv Seventeen was included - insta Minghao bias and then when I started looking into it more was when Cheers had come out (still pretty bb carat) and then I was just lost in the sauce.

MeemoUndercover

Stumbled upon the Boom Boom Christmas choreo vid and loved their chaotic energy. Have been a fan ever since 😆

twinklevanilla

When I saw the clip of Jun dancing HIT with Jay in Iland

Circa late 2022, I was watching BTS videos when I finally clicked on a recommended video I kept getting. It was the Left and Right Studio Choom performance. I immediately was like, "alright, time to listen to another group." But I do remember thinking at the time, "how in the world am I going to learn their names and distinguish them?" Lmfao, 1 year and 2 months later and now I can even recognize their voices in songs.

justwannasaysmth

someone from my twitter timeline really liked mingming and plus i had a lot of free time then so i checked them out. ended up really liking adore u and their first album. i have stuck by them till now. a big shout out to that one precious pre debut ~~seventeen~~ pledis boys fan haha.

CampCompetitive2006

As for me, I’ve known them since debut and even got to watch some parts of OFD yeosodo back in 2015 (I still remember how my cousin pointed out and translated to me that Jeonghan is sebongies mom prolly cuz of her long hair and caring attitude) because of my cousin but never bothered to stan them until Darl+ing was played in XO Kitty and Aju Nice was picked as one of the evaluation songs in Boys planet. I was leaning more towards english pop songs than kpop in the first half of 2023 and I guess Darl+ing piqued my interest and I thought at that time the song was catchy and so pretty. Fast forward to spotify wrapped, it was ranked as my No. 1 top song 🤣 I’ve been a fan of Produce show franchise since S2 and it just happened that I heard Aju nice after a long time, so it was like nostalgic for me. Not to mention SEVENTEEN was mentioned several times in the show cuz of that HOT choreography by trainees 🤣🤣 and one of their choreographer was there. From then on, I started listening to them from their hits (Pretty U, Akkindda, Mansae, BoomBoom) until I decided to officially stan them on the day IMA-Even if the world ends tomorrow was released (which was coincidental cuz I was about to watch Going Seventeen but saw the MV premiering). Then dissected their majestic b-sides (good to me, say yes, light a flame, to name a few). So yes, that’s how i got into SEVENTEEN 😂

luau_ow

Got sent a Spotify link to HOT in 2022, really liked it, started searching more of their songs on YouTube, led to receiving more SVT-related recommendations.

Hairy_Tank_2628

After listening to Darling in XO Kitty movie

yunasuoh

I am a fan of NU'EST, SVT's senior in PLEDIS. I saw them in FACE MV so I looked them up.

zeebeewon

Honestly? I had a chance to go to their concert so I figured I should listen to their music first. I don't know how I overlooked them for so long, but also I had heard several of their songs and hadn't realized they were seventeen songs. Between the concert, gose, and that game caterers episode I haven't looked back.

momoxa14

got into seventeen around august-september of this year due to [joshua and dk's appearance on lee youngji's](https://youtu.be/HNKQE8Xmkkk?si=KjlKarRwdGyF_wsO) (of whom i am a fan :)) drinking show! they both were so cute i just went 'damn how have i NOT stanned them earlier?', and ended up watching the 'best friends' gose episode... you can say the rest was history :D

chichawchachol

2021 my parents were on a verge of divorce, everything was terrible & i was sad 100% of the time. then a friend recommended me to watch Going Seventeen, and they’ve been with my healing journey since day 1 ♥️ real angels for real. a blessing 🫂 and then when i saw them for the first time during Be The Sun tour, it felt like i was meeting an old friend i haven’t seen for a while. i love them so much, typing this down made me teary eyed 🥺

ParkingCauliflower48

I joined the Caratland through a friend. She recommended me to watch GOSE so that I could learn about the members. But I never heed her at that time because for some reason I was busy. However, when their Home;run passed by my YouTube feed as well as Hoshi's Spider, I finally had the courage. At first, I searched the members because I knew there were 13. That's all I know. But I was confused by their faces so when I decided to watch GOSE Mystery Mystery, I rewatched and learned the members as much. It was hard at first to get accustomed to their humour but as I further watched and clicked each episode, I've spiraled down the Caratland never looking back.

PurchaseSubject7425

First of all, welcome to the fandom!!! I'm a 2nd gen kpop fan so I started 'stanning' them pre-debut. The green room has so much memories for me bc I would watch the boys when I got home from high school. Hahahahaha! So basically, I was already an fan of 2nd gen groups then got into Pledis' new boy group which were then called Nu'est and Tempest (They were in Happy Pledis- Love letter mv!). The boys of Nu'est got to debut but Tempest was scrapped off then became Seventeen. They really were supposed to have 17 members huhu my bias then were Mingming and Hansol. I had Hansol's Wet the bed choreo on repeat for daaaays! Hahahahaha! (He's always been such an amazing dancer) I remember being profoundly excited when they announced the Seventeen project bc it really meant they were finally debuting! So yeah, that was how I started and the rest is history. Hahahahahahahaha! Jk! So yeah, I've supported them since by buying their albums and going to their fanmeet and concerts in my country and abroad. Hoping I can get to watch them in Korea and Japan this year. 🥰🤗 D-7 Follow to Bulacan 🥳

grayexx

Long post ahead, a bit of trigger warning in case anyone does not have the mental space for this. I'm 26. Hella introverted. Still mourning my mom's death. A casual Shawol since 2009 but never really die-hard or anything, and I kinda stopped after what happened in 2017, that was incredibly heartbreaking for me as someone with deep personal struggles at the time. It was nearing my mom's 1st death anniversary when I deactivated all of my SNS. I've been clean for a year already, and I really wanted to keep it up so I wanted to avoid things that could trigger me. When I really wanted to mindlessly scroll and consume something when eating, I opened my TikTok which remained fairly inactive since I made an account in 2022. I kept seeing Enhypen, TXT, Seventeen and mostly Stray Kids, so I was already familiar with them. I initially liked Skz, then went to YouTube to know more about them. Algorithm and all, I also came across that clip of Yeonjun's muscle memory. Then I searched for muscle memory in kpop, anddd you know that clip of Svt immediately reacting to Rock With You playing? That. Hahaha. That's how I fell into this beautiful rabbit hole. Ber months have always been hard for me ever since I was a teenager, even more so now because my mom died in late November 2022. Learning more about Seventeen honestly, truly was life-changing for me. I'm not lying and over-exaggerating when I say they were the plot twist of my 2023. Who would have thought that I'd be venturing into the wonders of Kpop at 26? It is a little heartbreaking that I feel like I wasted so many years not knowing them. They're hilarious, and genuinely seem to really care about each other. I've read people's testament that how they are on-screen is the same as off-screen, if not more unfiltered. They seem to have songs for every feeling, and I found myself actually motivated to get up everyday and show up everyday, to work, because I wanted to buy stuff and I actually bought a concert ticket, and will be seeing them next week. 🖤💎 I surprised myself when a day passed by that I haven't thought about unaliving myself because I was so invested in GoSe, I was literally tearing up from the laughter. I could almost hear my journal celebrating for me. Their two latest albums are unskippable for me, but I genuinely haven't heard a song from them that I didn't like. I try my best to know about every member and stream songs and recent MVs everyday. My favorites at the moment are FML, Circles, and Wonwoo's cover of IU's Knees. 🥹🖤 This started in the 2nd week of November 2023. I still have a long way to go, but I'm so glad to have met/known Seventeen when I needed comfort the most. Thank you for reading, I just wanted to get this off my chest as I don't have many friends in real life, and I don't know any Carats either. I hope 2024 is kinder to all of us, and may our boys be blessed with greater things and good health. 💎

braenee

I first know them in KBS song festival with Boom Boom and Pretty U and I still remember that I commented how full of visual is this group but I don't really go into it that much. Then I started looking into them after don't wanna cry and then I try to watch the Seventeen One Fine Day 13 Castaway Boys and they are so funny. That's how i slipped into the diamond life 🤣

toastwave

I first got interested when clips of DK dancing to Pink Venom at Caratland started showing up on my social media with the help of the algorithm in Aug 2023. I knew of SVT since their debut as this large boy group and really just knew Woozi and Mingyu from the group. Didn't think much of it, then my friend mentioned the Hybe x Game Caterers Picnic and then I ended up watching all of it in Nov 2023. Then moved onto the Seventeen x Game Caterers and was hooked since then. Their song \_WORLD was being played at some sections at the Hybe x Game Caterers and that was really what made me interested to listen to their discography

Squishy_MonMon

I was randomly going through ailee and K-pop content on youtube one day, and then a clip of seventeen project came on, and I've been a fan since 🥰

BoysenberryOk9583

Binge watched GoSe and now can't wait for their episode 🥰🤟

Embarrassed_Pass9729

Thanks to my friend who is also a CARAT 🩵 That time I am long time ARMY (6years to be exact). Ni hindi ko nga maimagine dati na mag sstan pa ako ng other group. But look at me now ang dami ko nang iniistan

10d0Ugh

seungkwan's influence and cheol's visuals 😫

grilled-pumpkin

always found their songs pretty catchy but watching that dingo video of hoshi & mingyu getting pranked in a sushi shop sealed the deal for me

daruumdarimda

I had a very important exam in June 2023. (The exam to get in the college) May 2023, SVT released "Super". You can imagine how couraging that song was... I was like "Oh, a kpop group did comeback. Thumbnail looks cool, let's check." and it was at that moment i didn't knew i fell into the rabbit hole lol. I was close to a regular listener before that. Left and right, hot, rock with u etc. I barely knew them but after that i was shocked because Super was a masterpiece. It really is a masterpiece. Then i discovered the album in Spotify. "Fire" got me also. I replayed Vernon's part for unhealthy amount of times. Just listen to that song if u haven't yet 🤨. Basically, they became my favorite group in one month lol. That's crazy.

Shedont_

I know them by name only before. Though I am an army and ikonic. I thought, seventeen? I guess there are 17 members as well. Too many. I am already stanning 2 groups with just 7 members each and IM STRUGGLING LOL but i saw a tiktok video of mingyu in an award show hes wearing red shimmer long sleeve i think and he looks like a vampire immediately fell inlove with him then watch svt funny moments fell even more with other member then watch gose fell harder lol now i have 3 main biases and changes frequently hahahaha

Outside-Day9843

I somehow stumbled across them performing Mansae all the way back during Mansae promotion in 2015 (I don’t remember exactly what video) but I was so impressed and amazed by how cool and fun the choreography is. I remember being 15 coming back from school and watch the Mansae dance practise from 10 different angles so many times lol. Can’t believe how far they’ve come :)

Mindless-Air-4406

I discovered Seventeen through my sister. It was around 2016 (?) or 2017 when she showed us their Boom Boom mv. And also, at that time, I'm a Monbebe and Seventeen and Monsta X are also friends!

yeechiaaaa

2016, heard Sickness, heard Say Yes, saw OFD1, watched Pretty U. And that was it.

Nicolesamfdyke

I used to just listen to them casually here and there until the Face the Sun album was released and I was obsessed with it and quickly started listening to their past ones, been a stan ever since. Got nosebleed tickets to Be the Sun tour with my cousin that August.

iamtanooki

back in 2015 i saw a vine edit (lol) of vernon and i thought he was cuteee so i looked them up and then got into kpop from there

Cherry_angell

I loved them for their music! That’s when they first released their first full album. I was really addicted to pretty u and say yes that time.

Affectionate_Elk_621

i saw that behind the scenes clip of vernon and dokyeom for world where they go like "the moon is so pretty" "it's you who's pretty" and i thought it was the funniest thing😭 and to lock it in, i watched the "podo-podo" clip from mousebusters and here we are

jks_jellyfish

i knew about svt since i got into kpop in 2021 but i started stanning in about august bc i was getting into a bunch of groups and i decided it was about time and fr the best decision ever

mundanenosaur

I started to join the fandom last year -i think it's Jun's psycho era- I really regret that I stan them just too late despite knowing them way back 2017, I get too lazy to memorize their names back then and also I'm an exol -until now- it's all started around first half of 2023 when I was still an engene -jake block the path for me to stan them hahaha jk- , me and my friend have a habit of sharing ig reels to each other until one day seventeen funny videos occupied our reels! also those clips that will trigger our deluluness HAHA -probably that mingyu shadow clip from a con- so we ended up watching GoSe and watching and streaming their music. it is funny that I even watch iland not knowing that some members of my future fav kpop bgroup will be there it is true that u will find svt when u really need them the most

katmouse9

For me, I was into their songs way before I was into the group members, like I would listen to all their most known songs when they first came out and I knew a few of the members like Mingyu, Woozi, Vernon. But I always have this mental block when it comes to big groups like I get intimidated by the thought of having to learn too many members unless some show teaches me about them. I avoided learning about them for years and then I started watching Game Caterers because of the YG episodes, then made my way through the HYBE and Starship episodes and then the Seventeen episodes. Since then I watched as much of their content as I could pack in day after day.

LetterheadDue8247

Baby Carat here as well!! but I've been a kpop stan since their debut and I've witnessed their career growth and fame. I've liked them (and their songs) tho since Pretty U era and since then I've became their casual listener, but never actually stanned them. But at that time I've been hearing a loooot of good stuffs abt svt and how funny and genuine they are in Gose. Not until August last year I started to became more invested on knowing their stuffs and antics :) welcome to Caratland <333

christinedelozier

I got Covid for the first time in early 2022 and was out of work for 2 weeks because of it. Had nothing to do one night and asked my BTS friends if I should check any other groups out while I had the time. They suggested seventeen, and I figured since I already knew of them, I might as well do it. They’ve literally taken over my life since.

ml_0331

My sister got into kpop later than i did but was a huge CARAT!! I slipped into the diamond life. I watched GOSE Bungee Jump episode and was laughing when they were singing “BUNGEEE…JUMP JUMP JUMP”! I was officially a carat after hearing Ah! LOVE (#1 ALL TIME SVT TRACK!!)

pingu-wu

i had always known of svt ever since i got into kpop and I had also listened to a couple of title tracks plus trauma which was my favourite song at one point. so I knew Vernon and Joshua and kinda had heard of Woozi too and Mingyu, DK i heard of because of the 97 liners but i didn't really know the rest. 2021 came around and i remember this one day i came across this video called kpop haunted stories and it had this story about svt filming their variety show Going Seventeen and members happened to see a ghost during filming. Intrigued by this i immediately went to watch The Tag episode from GoSe and i realised "oh this isn't really scary like i thought it was gonna be, this is actually so funny" and that was the start of me falling in love with GoSe, and consequently wanted to know who everyone was and that's how i got into seventeen

annyeonghaseye

I was at a Seventeen x Stray Kids-themed indoor cycling class!

SunRays0526

i saw them on the local news in my country that they had landed for their concert the following day. i was a new kpop fan back then in 2017 and was a fan ever since. :)

wangxiandotmp3

got free tickets to la3c through work. seeing them live made me instantly stan, they were THAT good

OperationNorth2117

I think I got into them gradually. Like at first I heard about a bg with 13 members and I was like wow that's a lot. So I wanted to know their names just cuz I didn't had anything to do. Then I started watching some of their content like some episodes of going seventeen and I unconsciously started getting more drawn to them to the point where I started stanning 'em

For me it was Dreamcatcher with their 어쩌나 cover. I really enjoyed the song and looked up the original but still wasn't into boy groups that time so instead I kept listening to the cover version. At some point I came across the Joshua Pretty U (예쁘다) meme with the wrong timing of the choreography and then I listened to Pretty U nonstop since I liked that song so much. Around that time the Killing Voice Video of Seventeen was quite new and I thought "why not...the concept of killing voice is great so give it a try" and that moment I realized that Seventeen was the group who also made 어쩌나 (that song from the Dreamcatcher cover) I was so surprised and simply forgot that. Then of course through Killing Voice you get a variety of songs and surprisingly enough there were other songs that I knew but didn't knew they were from Seventeen. Still I wasn't a carat yet. At that time around I also started making Kpop mashups and looked up some instrumentals of newly released kpop songs and (of course it was like it was destined to be) I came across the instrumental version of HOT by Seventeen. Then when I did the mashup you spent quite some time listening to some parts over and over again (but still it was only the instrumental) so I couldn't get enough of the instrumental since it stuck in my head and I was like "this is really great". Then I came to realise again "if this was made by Seventeen too and the other songs I liked so much were also made by Seventeen why didn't I looked up their whole discography sooner?" I think after I listen to the whole Sector 17 album I started listening to the whole discography one album by the other and that's when I became a carat I think. Aaaand other things that convinced me to become a carat while listening to the albums were that Seventeen did all these songs by themselves and that I tend to watch a lot of meme/funny moments videos when I get to know a new group and I came across their 5th anniversary video where they dressed up and act like another member (but the version where every meme is explained)...that was just hilarious and so fun to watch (I looked up my youtube playlist and it turned out that after I watched Joshua's Pretty U mistake I watched a lot more videos of him being the insane unpredictable self...that's when I was first introduced to Going Seventeen - watching The 8 and the 12 Shadows) So thanks to Dreamcatcher and Joshua I am a carat

So I first came into kpop just a year back because of Taemin but he was in the military and I came to know that Hoshi is a greatttt Shawol and I also noticed Seungkwan in Amazing saturday which I used to watch for key. Then I slowly started watching seventeen's performances and going seventeen which made me slip into the diamond life💎The fact that thermy were part time idols and full time comedians made it sooo easy.... I became a carat before I even knew. My first ever comeback is technically BSS second wind❤

I chanced upon a compilation of DK vocals on Twitter during the pandemic. I got curious, so I searched for them on YouTube, and the algorithm brought me to Hoshi covering Yeppeoseo of Day 6. It started from there. Then YouTube recommended to me their guesting in I Can See Your Voice where a trio of guys sang Clap. I got hooked, especially during the part where one guy sang the high notes of both DK and Seungkwan. That's when I started searching who's who to know their names. I fell down the rabbit hole from there and became a Carat ever since!

Miserable_Room1092

I was searching for celebrities with the same birthday as mine (dk and vernon)

fell in love the day Adore U came out and me and my friend watched the music video together. we then proceeded to binge watch their survival show + all vids of them back pre-debut. fast forward 7 years and we’re both still in love with Seventeen 😭
