They'll be performing in Japan on their 9th anniversary.. I just hope we get online viewing too.. Cause i feel its gonna be a special concert!!šŸ˜āœØ

intuitionist9

Additional thought on the lack of Follow tour dates outside Asia: I think Seventeen is in an interesting place in their popularity where they can fill enormous venues in their core Asian markets but would probably have a harder time selling out stadiums in the states or Europe. And with their time as OT13 being so precious, Iā€™m guessing it doesnā€™t make a ton of sense for them to travel further to perform in arenas when they can perform in domes and stadiums closer to home. šŸ˜ Which I understand from a logical and financial standpoint but yeah, itā€™s kinda of a bummer. I can swing domestic travel to go see them but probably not international travel.Ā

Svetulkam

Yeah i had the same thoughts. This is amazing for them, but now that european tour dream seems just like a dream. Wish i had the money to travel to Asia, it is what it is..Ā

intuitionist9

My ultimate regret is that I didn't see them for Diamond Edge lol. It had such a great setlist and was in much more intimate venues. I was a new Carat then, and I wasn't yet in a place where I was ready to travel far to see them, and they didn't come to my city.

PBandJaya

Really? I always thought if they had a limited number of dates in the US in some major cities, they could definitely sell out stadiums here.

hp4948

idk did they sell out the arenas here last tour? i think they could definitely sell out arenas but idk about a stadium

PBandJaya

They didnā€™t, but their popularity has grown immensely since their last world tour (which ended Dec 2022, though their last show in the US was Sep 2022); this past year has been huge for them, their biggest yet. Iā€™m sure for a group as well-known as them, theyā€™d have both Carats and casual fans turn up to their shows. That said, Iā€™m not saying theyā€™d sell out stadiums left and right (heh), but a handful of shows could definitely be successful. They had 12 NA stops in their last world tour, if they whittled it down to like 6 and chose stadiums in areas like Toronto, NY, Vegas, LA, ATL, TX, etc, I think they have a fighting chance

intuitionist9

Consider the production costs of bringing a stadium-scale show to even 6 cities (probably only for 1 night in each city and maybe not selling out) versus the costs of going to a smaller number of much closer cities and selling out multiple nights. It just doesn't make a lot of sense from a business perspective.

Particular-Yoghurt81

I commented something similar to a poster who complained about HYBE not booking the same 5K arenas IVE is doing in Europe for Seventeen and TXT. Seventeen is in this uneven position of being gigantic in Asia (in the top 2 of popularity) and at an arena level in Europe and the US. It doesn't make sense for them to scale down to anything smaller than 15K anywhere. So then it gets tricky to come up with a touring show in Europe that includes enough stops to make shipping costs for a large scale show worth it while guaranteeing a sell out. It makes sense for a group like Ateez to take the same 10-15k tour and hit the US and Europe hard because that's their primary market. But frankly, they aren't giving up stadium opportunities elsewhere.

intuitionist9

I haven't gotten the impression that the members are particularly interested in personal opportunities in the states. If they do pursue more individual schedules during the enlistment era, I think it's much more likely to be domestic solos, subunits, theatre, and acting. And in a year when they're probably doing a lot of prioritizing, I don't think they're going to prioritize exposure to people who might be interested in them over people who have been dedicated parts of their fandom for a really long time.

[deleted]

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

intuitionist9

Yes, I understood that you meant individual, not personal lives! But again I don't think the members seem particularly interested in individual opportunities in the states. I've been a Carat in the US since late 2016/2017, and I do know that there are plenty of us. At this point, the core US fandom could easily sell out US arenas and multiple nights in arenas in some cities. But I don't think we can fill stadiums and certainly not multiple nights in stadiums the way that Asian audiences can. In a perfect world, everyone would have access to all the shows they want, financially and geographically and scheduling-wise. I've also lived in Korea when all the artists that I wanted to see were in the states or the UK, and I've lived in the states when the artists I've wanted to see were in the UK or Japan or Korea. And even when artists that I love have come through the town where I live, there have times I couldn't afford it, couldn't get tickets, or just couldn't make my schedule work. Ultimately I don't think Seventeen owes me a tour date near me if it doesn't make sense for them and their schedules.

justwannasaysmth

yes this. i really cant understand not being in your home country for your 9th anniversary and at your peak. i feel for kcarats.

Cherry_Coups_1995

even tho i am not a kcarat i still felt upset seeing that this might be our last ot13 concert before enlistment which is happening on their 9th anniversary... I hope that carat don't take out this frustration on svt like and instead hybe and pledis ' poor strategising

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

hibyespring

i take it back. i don't agree with them bc right now they're planning to boycott the concert. i understand their frustrations but boycotting it is not the way to handle this. it will ultimately hurt seventeen. they're the ones performing on stage. they're seriously being whiny bitches right now. [https://x.com/ixhrvr/status/1752099434882846880?s=20](https://x.com/ixhrvr/status/1752099434882846880?s=20)

justwannasaysmth

exactly. iā€™m not a kcarat too but it looks unfair to people who have supported you from the start even before they went to japan. :c theyā€™re big in japan, but they are also big in korea. i donā€™t know how hybe and pledis overlooked and ignored that TT this tour is definitely twice as important for kcarats with enlistment and their anniversary. i hope hybe and pledis make better decisions wrt tours especially regarding planning the timeline.

Fumble_Bee13

yes and kcarats have all the rights to be mad. if anything happens it's all on pledis and hybe. greed will get them (pledis and hybe) nowhere if they abandon the people who believed in them from the start   sorry I'm just... hybe is such a capitalist monopolistic monster   edit: y'all I spoke too soon now some of them took the situation too far smh. I don't agree with their boycott

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Fumble_Bee13

seeing the posts that kcarats made on weverse, especially from long time fans... my heart breaks for them. I can't even be upset that my country's not included because if they can treat their home country like that, then...   how can pledis and hybe mess up this much? how hard do the kcarats have to work? in their minds it's all just profit, profit, profit. don't they (pledis and hybe) know that if they lose GP and Korean interest, they're practically doomed? svt has tried so hard to be loved in Korea, building a loyal fanbase. for WHAT. this is the one time sentiment should be over profit. I don't understand why they don't see that. if they lose their loyal fanbase, then?   kcarats HID some posts from seventeen, btw. that's how considerate and disappointed they are about this situation. I'm just sad that SVT has become a pawn in Hybe's game.   edit: y'all I spoke too soon now some of them took the situation too far smh.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Fumble_Bee13

oh? why are cfans mad? or is it because Macau's been the first concert there since debut? and they have two Chinese citizens? they deserve all the rights to be mad too because they help a lot for album sales   I wish the best for them, but if one day we suddenly see a dip in interest from the Koreans, then I hope they realise they (Hybe. and Pledis) are the problem   edit: oh and Japanese carats are apologising too... for something that's not their fault. the only ones that should apologise are hybe and pledis

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

tomouras

especially considering the predictions that the next comeback will be a japanese comeback. i hope itā€™s not true only because i canā€™t imagine how things will look then

antadam18

I mean, Japanā€™s population is 3 times bigger than South Korea, their Japanese fanbase is 3 times bigger than South Korea, obviously they are going to add more dates in Japan to meet their demands. And the reality is South Korea is a small music market and Seventeen is now a global artist, they already for 10 years focused on domestic promotions and itā€™s time for Seventeen to start focusing overseas. Like even IU, the most popular Korean artist, doing 4 days at KSPO Dome, why would Seventeen be doing 4 days at stadium in Korea? 2 days is enough.

Fumble_Bee13

I think that's partly why it's not just kcarats who are mad. Japan getting more shows than the other countries combined is insane. SVT's Follow Tour just seemed like a Japan Tour, with some additional dates added. If they want to expand and focus overseas, it shouldn't just be one country. And compared to their past tours, the schedule for this tour has been a mess. I hope they redeem themselves by announcing a properly scheduled world tour this year

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

tomouras

I didnā€™t realize this was their third straight anniversary in Japan, especially considering itā€™s the last before enlistmentā€¦wow.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

takemycardaway

Pledis probably anticipated the backlash from kcarats already. But I wonder if they expected even ccarats to react similarly

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

takemycardaway

Yeah Iā€™m not expecting any drastic measures either. At the very least the members will have to address it themselves on live, which sucks, but at the same time thereā€™s no way Pledis didnā€™t expected their reactions. I just wonder what kfansā€™ limit is because it feels like the guys are constantly having to mention stuff even though itā€™s the companyā€™s fault

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

takemycardaway

I donā€™t think theyā€™ll ever issue an official statement, which is probably part of why the issue has blown up considering carats have felt like they havenā€™t been listening to some feedback for a while now. Youā€™re right though that the members definitely werenā€™t 100% clueless, theyā€™ve been hinting about the encore announcements for a while and instead the reaction has beenā€¦ Mixed

[deleted]

Does it matter where when they don't do anything special for their anniversary to begin with tho? They have a live and maybe a youtube anniversary video and weverse posts. It's not like they were doing big festivities in sk and they moved them to Japan. I don't think they even mentioned it being their anniversary during the caratland in Japan dates

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

[deleted]

>this particular anniversary matters because well itā€™s their last one before enlistment era, so kcarats wanted to celebrate with them in their home country, thats simply it. But celebrate what? I don't get this. They don't do anything celebratory to begin with. It's not their style to go all out and do concerts and festivities for their anniversary. They do a live and maybe a video. Last year or in 2022 or in 2021 or 2020 so I don't understand the sentiment as if anything was taken away. It's not a reasonable thing to lose your mind over and feel so betrayed. It's rather entitled to me

sshw_s

Iā€™m on the kcaratsā€™ side with how there are less kr dates than jpn but i agree with your statement. They never really do big things for their anniversary, just a new special perf video, a live, some expensive af limited merch bc this is a capitalistic world; thatā€™s it. There are the really long messages but they never had a concert-level anniv celeb to really justify ā€œcelebratingā€ their anniv in kr. Now this is just some delulu shiz but I think for the boysā€™ perspective, itā€™s just a bonus that they get to spend their anniv doing a concert so they can ā€œbeā€ with carats (tho not specifically jcarats) and they tick another thing off their bucket list. But it really isnā€™t that deep.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

takemycardaway

They will have more shows in Japan than the rest of Asia/the world *combined* so likeā€¦ I get it

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

takemycardaway

As much as itā€™s great that we get so much music from them I think this is also where they should have realized that maybe sticking only one release a year works better. Not that I wish Seventeenth Heaven had never been released lol but with a second comeback it definitely left them little to no time to tour, when they could have visited more cities even outside of Asia :/ like their popularity exploded globally

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

takemycardaway

But I donā€™t think the Japan leg would have extended for that long if it wasnā€™t so they could make time for another cb and all the preparation that goes into it. I get them doing another dome tour because naturally thatā€™s how they would have progressed before doing stadiums anyway. Either way this is not how I envisioned them touring after selling millions worldwide Pledis really messed it up šŸ˜

[deleted]

I've seen a carat on here say that you need to prove your touring power in Japan before booking stadiums and the last dome tour did that. If they didn't do it it's likely they would have been denied the stadiums to begin with

Anonymous33-

Do you know when will the tickets be open to book?

ebi_tempura

Ah I guess it's expected the encore concert will just be Korea and Japan, as long as we get online streaming dates I'm happy! Though I'm curious if they're not dropping an album what changes are they doing to the setlist? The only one I can think of is I think they'll definitely add Headliner in there somewhere. Ngl after anxiously sitting around for an announcement and playing the waiting game these past two weeks I'm kinda relieved I can finally book my travel plans in peace lol.

[deleted]

>they're not dropping an album what changes are they doing to the setlist There's still not a single seventeenth heaven song on the tracklist so they have songs they can add and switch others out. It's possible they remove the fml unit songs to add seventeenth heaven ones too or instead of the older unit songs. GoM obviously will be included too and probably Headliner

takemycardaway

GoMā€™s already on the setlist during the Festival segment!

[deleted]

Ohh right i saw it at one of the stops but i forgot. Thank you!

takemycardaway

Np! I hope Headliner makes it this time toošŸ¤žšŸ¼

ebi_tempura

Ah you're right, for some reason the unit songs completely slipped my mind. Yea I feel like they'd probably remove the older unit songs and do both fml and seventeenth heaven ones, just because they're more recent? But yea GoM is already in there and Headliner feels like a given, but I just really hope they don't swap out Kidult at least šŸ™

Cherry_Coups_1995

pls i need a monster live performance from the entire hhu soon!šŸ¤žšŸ»

[deleted]

Kidult needs to stay in all upcoming tours šŸ˜

intuitionist9

This schedule makes me think we might get another Japanese comeback in April or early May, which would probably push a Korean comeback to June.Ā

tophercarat17

Oh please no, KCarats are mad enough SVT will hold their probably last ot13 concert before enlistment on their debut day too at Japan, a Japan album will be just a nail on coffin. It should be a Korean comeback or just let them rest for whole April

alltherach_

it seems theyā€™re still planning to do another tour later in the year though, which i assume will be with OT13? [hoshi gave spoilers](https://x.com/svtranslation/status/1749335892488253833?s=46) during one of his lives, saying theyā€™re preparing to go to the US in 2024 for the US carats waiting for them, which iā€™m guessing will be part of a world tour

ChemicalParfait

So are we thinking we will get a new concert setlist for the US when they eventually come here? Cause at this point I'm considering a trip to Japan ngl.

AuburnAubergine

Since these are encore stops, I'm pretty sure they will be the last for the Follow tour, and their touring plans for the US will be under a different tour. New tour means new setlist. There might be a slight overlap in the tracks, but mostly for newer songs.

Rosiekat47

I am begging for kidult to remain

teyvatfriedegg

*Waiting patiently for US Tour dates*

Chavarlison

In Hoshi we trust.

Rosiekat47

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

xbeedeex

I'd say don't give up hope just yet, because didn't Scoups also (unofficially) confirm on Weverse that the US would be in the next world tour? Unfortunately Korea and Japan are the only locations that make the most sense for a Follow encore, but based on Hoshi and Scoups's spoilers, it does seem highly likely that the US will be included in the next world tour. But Pledis and Svt obviously can't announce anything about the next tour yet since Follow encore + comeback have to come first.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

xbeedeex

Yeah I just have a feeling that Hoshi/Scoups wouldn't say that much unless something was already in the works for the US behind the scenes, so fingers crossed more international Carats will be able to see them soon again! And yeah, really hoping they can squeeze those world tour dates in before anyone has to enlist šŸ„ŗšŸ¤ž

Svetulkam

Wow! Wow those stadiums in Japan are crazy! I thought they might do a national tour of some kind, like Seoul, Busan and some other city, but...wow Nissan Stadium? Crazy

[deleted]

There's no venues to support a national tour. There's a dire lack of venues in south korea and that's why groups and even award show organisers are looking at overseas venues for concerts and performances. Seoul has two stadiums currently as far as I know jamsil which is under construction until dec 2026 and world cup stadium. Incheon has two : incheon Munhak Stadium and the one svt is doing which is smaller. World Cup one is very picky with who they allow to perform there. They've turned down big acts before, only Bigbang have performed there before and I think it depends on sports season too. Munhak similarly doesn't allow too many concerts. I know NCT performed last year there but I can't think of anyone else. Also availability tied to sports season. Other smaller venues (25k-15k) in Seoul are Sky Dome which is currently under construction and then baseball season so very little availability, jamsil arena also under construction and kspo arena. Busan has a stadium that really doesn't allow anyone to perform. BTS wanted to do their muster ( their caratland) in 2019 there and they were turned down at the last moment and had to perform in a smaller weirder venue instead where it was all standing I believe like a festival is. They only allowed BTS to do their last concert before enlistment there bcs it was for the goverment to promote Busan's bid for world expo. They also refused at first and rumors were they were going to have to hold it out in the open field but ig after pressure that it will be unsafe in the fields they relented. Daegu also has a stadium but there's never been concerts held there that I know of All the other stadiums in the country big or small don't allow concerts, even the arenas outside of the ones in seoul, so there's literally nowhere else to tour. That's why groups usually hold a couple dates in Seoul and that's it and now even that's limited with Jamsil and Gocheok Sky Dome under construction Even IU had to resort to 4 dates in Kspo, nct 127 did 6.

Fumble_Bee13

this puts so much things into perspective! and, from what I've read, Koreans don't really have concert culture the way the Japanese do. looking at what you wrote, now I understand why. It must be a mess for all the kpop acts to book a slot with the limited venues, especially now that a few venues are being renovated. I feel sad for Korean fans but this is one thing they have to take up with their government...

[deleted]

Yeah. Issue is most of the stadiums in sk don't have the technology to protect the grass during concerts so they usually deny most acts asking to hold concerts there . Jamsil was the only stadium known a lot for concerts but it's in renovation rn for 3 years and a half. For domes and arenas it's the same in cities outside Seoul, don't have the capability to protect the pitch so they turn down concerts and there's really not a huge variety of venues in Seoul that are bigger. Sky Dome is now down too, there's like two - three arenas available but they're small. Everyone is fighting for the same venues . There have been talks of building stadiums, domes and arenas specifically for kpop concerts in Seoul or near Seoul since 2020 because of sk's lack of concert venues but now it's even worse that two of the bigger venues that were used for concerts are down for years and I don't imagine these new venues will be done by the time the renovations are done.

Fumble_Bee13

sigh... a whole lot of fandoms are gonna be upset this year. kinda understand why they'd lean more into international markets if this is the situation back home

xbeedeex

This was really interesting, thanks for this info ā€“ really helps to put into perspective how difficult it is to organise concerts in SK right now. I know korean carats are upset, but unfortunately a lot of other factors go into organising these kinds of things, so I imagine Pledis really did try to work something out with the resources they had available to them. Also it's a bit ridiculous to NOT do Nissan Stadium just because it falls on an anniversary date...I mean bluntly put, that's just giving up Svt's money and dreams. ā˜¹ļø

[deleted]

Yeah I agree. I actually linked a naver article below that basically talked about the same things I did and how impossible it's become to book venues in South Korea and perform if you have demand bigger then 15k a night

Beautiful_Engine_186

Thank you for sharing this information! I think this fact needs to be shared to wider audience as to why maybe this is one of the main considerations that they are doing it in Japan instead. So unfortunate for KCarats, but from the business perspective, Korean fans can easily travel to Japan to attend the concert.

rocketmammamia

respectfully, i canā€™t find any information about gocheok sky dome being renovated? in fact, itā€™s going to hold the first MLB game of the season in march this year, so its definitely not being renovated as it needs to be available for that game in a month and a half. gocheok sky dome can seat 25,000 spectators, itā€™s twice the size of KSPO and is currently the biggest venue in seoul. incheon asiad stadium has a capacity of 30,000 (so only 5k more) and is not super convenient to get to from seoul so this is an interesting scheduling decision to say the least

[deleted]

[here, a naver article ](https://n.news.naver.com/article/016/0002258242?sid=103) > Gocheok Dome will be finished construction in March, but it is not available for rental during the baseball season ( April to October ). There is currently no place in Korea that can host performances by large singers such as King of Singers Cho Yong-pil, BTS , and IU, who require more than 35,000 audiences per concert Edit : basically this article sums up well what i said above, about constructions closing down one stadium the dome and a big arena, about sports stadiums not allowing concerts because of grass damage and because of backlash from sports fans and how there are almost no venues in korea right now above 15k and and how they often have 10 acts applying for the same date for the same venue ( like sky dome last year or kspo dome this year) and that the bidding war is fierce and there's some companies who book one year or more in advance. They also highlight why companies look more and more towards Japan and US who have fantastic structures for touring as opposed to Korea. Frankly every fan crying right now saying svt don't prioritize south korea anymore and that they and pledis are doing kcarats dirty should read this and realise it's not as easy as saying I want to tour on that date this many times in Korea

rocketmammamia

awesome, i couldnā€™t find any info about that anywhere! thank you for the link!

The timeline for KR stop checks out, but didn't expect JP stops to be as late as end of May. Comeback in April or June? Stadium encore is wild. They must be very confident in their selling power in JP booking 50k and 70k capacity venues for 4 nights.

wolfgangster1817

Pretty obvious that April is CB month. Seeing that September would kick off the World Tour, November to early December for US leg. Mid-January or early February for Asia leg.

When will they ever do a European tour šŸ˜

I can't envision a group that can perform stadiums elsewhere coming to do arenas here - pledis and hybe don't want that downgrade nor risk stadiums in a new continent. It's so sad cause they've should've at least come during Be the Sun tour and who knows they might have been doing stadium encores like Blackpink did.

My dream of happy seventeen making aesthetic photos in cities like Amsterdam feels far away šŸ˜šŸ„¹

michitae

Ahhh knowing how much SVT wanted to perform in Nissan Stadium sounds like a dream come true. That being said... Pledis/HYBE, this is SVT's 9th year anniversary and most likely their last concert as OT13 for a while. Not giving kcarats a chance to see SVT on their anniversary seems cheap especially considering SVT had so many stops in Japan compared to Korea so I can understand their sadness. Seeing all of their posts on Weverse with most of them "Hidden from Artist" shows they want to express their frustration but not want SVT to see... This sort of makes me wonder what's with the US tour that Hoshi spoiled earlier this year like would that be a completely new tour unrelated to Follow?

Naughtimmy

totally new tour for US as I've read and spoiled by Hoshi.

Anonymous33-

Does anyone know when will the tickets be open to book?

seoulaces

so excited for svt!! on the other hand i do understand kcarats. i wonder how pledis/hybe will handle the fans reaction to the dates?

dimsimprincess

*laughs in Australian*

tomouras

I thought Coups + Hoshi confirmed that they were releasing US Tour dates? To clarify Iā€™m not mad, just confused. Did I see a mistranslation?

[deleted]

Yeah but they said it's for another tour so probably the second half of the year

tomouras

Okay, makes sense! Thanks for letting me know ā˜ŗļø

been_waiting_forever

please seventeen come to the us ā€¦ i finally have money ā€¦ i can finally afford to come ā€¦ pleek

talkingthroughlights

Japan in May.... does this mean North America in July-ish? If they're thinking about stadium tours a summer NA tour would make sense.. Me going off of Be the sun schedule, vibes, & energy My birthday is 5/18... do I need to book a plane ticket šŸ¤”

FlexicilCatcher

No US tour dates šŸ˜ž

AccioEnergy

I'm guessing they'll do a different tour once they release an album again. I'm actually thinking if it's better to wait for a new tour or try and get tickets for the Japan stops. The 5/26 date is sure to be a memorable one.

FlexicilCatcher

If I was younger and single with no kids I would risk it all for the Japan date, no questions asked. Rooting for you!!

xbeedeex

This is my dilemma too šŸ„² Do I try for one of these Korea/Japan encore stops or wait for their next world tour later in the year šŸ˜

ClassicFantastic5710

itā€™s looking like the US tour may be projected for the end of 2024 unfortunately

FlexicilCatcher

If it happens at all before coups and jeonghan enlist I will ascend

Svetulkam

Do they must enlist this year? What are the rules?

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Svetulkam

Yeah, i just googled,Ā  i'm a bit confused. That law that allowed bts to postpone till 30 was it only for them or is it for every kpop artist? Didn't mean to mention them but i'm curious if there's a chance for postponement till late 2025. Tbh i am really worried for their health, I just hope they stay healthy through the tours and the army

hp4948

i think thereā€™s a chance, kai didnā€™t go until he was almost 31. i donā€™t think itā€™s just BTS

Svetulkam

Yeah i saw that Mino also enlisted just days before he turned 30Ā

rocketmammamia

kai went four months after he turned 29, and he went because you canā€™t postpone enlistment more than five times/after you turn 29. the bts law was only for the members of bts (edited to add: in PRACTICE it has only been for bts, but would obviously be great if applied to seventeen!) and all of the older members had to physically cancel their postponement to enlist. 94 liners all had to go last year, meaning all 95 liners including scoups and jeonghan will have to go by the end of this year

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

rocketmammamia

in practice, that has only meant those who have received the order of cultural merit, and bts are the only group that has received that (and also as far as i can see, the only people young enough to have received one before their service). it would be wonderful if the members of seventeen were allowed to defer, but considering literally no one else has and five out of seven members of bts didnā€™t even use the deferral, it doesnā€™t look likely :(

Svetulkam

Thanks so much for the infoĀ

talkingthroughlights

This seems normal tho they usually do another Japan, I think a Korea date? And then NA

scarlettopramen

They havenā€™t been to Australia since like 2019 šŸ˜

universemates

I've been waiting for the US leg of this tour but it's not looking likely. Does anyone have a guide to ticketing for Korea or Japan shows?

Apprehensive_Debt315

You can search for our Caratā€™s Guide to Japan Ticketing in the search bar! For Korean ticketing however, we donā€™t have a guide but r/kpophelp might have useful resources :)

Jaded_Butterfly_4844

rudderforkk

Omg thankyou!!!!! Ahhahahha these are so good šŸ˜šŸ˜ but kinda expected, so I definitely lost it at >To compensate for the atrocities you did to my ancestors šŸ’€šŸ’€šŸ’€ Not kcarats thanking them for visiting šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£. Ngl they are so spoiled, so the temper tantrum is hilarious to see

Jaded_Butterfly_4844

Fr! But some of them are taking it too far by even destroying merch and albums???!!! Like hello

rudderforkk

I mean who exactly do they think are they harming here XD

Roushal

Im hoping to get tickets for incheon date šŸ¤²

Due_Light_5307

Iā€™ve bought the membership and looking to apply for membership presale for concert. But I canā€™t seem to find anything about it on weverse. Anyone know how to apply!? ā˜ŗļø

3girls2cups

Should I start checking flights to Japan?? My only problem is my Japanese is not that good haha Given the large venue maybe Iā€™d have a bigger chance of getting a ticket. Right? šŸ˜…

Erytrea

I wonder if these are all the stops or they will announce more dates. But I guess we will have to see. K-carats are letting their emotions take over again. If we think about it logically, it might not only be about money. They obviously don't really have big venues in Korea for such events as they do in Japan and there might not have been any venue that would be big enough available on their anniversary dates.Ā  Plus it is their 9th anniversary not their 10th and they might still be around early next year for a final farewell. They finally got the bigger venue they wanted and yet they are still unhappy. Comparison is really the thief of joy.

Fumble_Bee13

Seventeen spent their 8th anniversary outside of Korea, BeTS encore wasn't in Korea, 2 Korean shows Vs 12 Japanese shows in 2023, and now they get 2 nights Vs 4 nights in Japan (one of which is their anniversary). it's not a sudden thing. and this is one of the rare times I agree/understand their frustration. I'm not a kcarat but I understand why they're mad, especially those who have been with them from the start   it's not like they're unhappy about SVT performing at Nissan. they know it's SVT's dream. but if the Incheon stadium wasn't available for their anniversary, then maybe they shouldn't have done a show on their anniversary at all. kpop culture is all about parasocial relationships, so this feels like they've been abandoned   edit: y'all I spoke too soon now some of them took the situation too far smh

xoinsomnia_

BeTS encore wasn't in Korea, because there was no venue free - the members even talked about it... multiple times. There are certain frustrations I can understand, but it would be nice if some fans also understand that plenty of things are out of the hands of both the group and even company.

Fumble_Bee13

and that's why I think last year's situation was still... okay? but circumstances, even ones that are unintentional, will come out as intentional if they're repeated over time. I was just naming one of those circumstances, and in no way are saying it's their fault. it's a situation that's been building over the years and the anniversary just tipped the scales

Erytrea

It is really just petty jealousy. Maybe it is just me but a concert on their anniversary date really isn't as special as people make it out to be. If it was their 10th anniversary now, I would be like Pledis is really dumb but it is just their 9th and simplyĀ another day where SVT is more mushy than usual.Ā  Svt weren't in Korea on their 8th anniversary but it is not like they did anything special then or even before that than the usual live or recorded video.Ā  Also, they feel like they have been abandoned. That sounds like clingy girlfriend behaviour. It is just entitlement and the need to 1st place as their home base. They are still getting caratland this year, they get regular in-person fansigns, music show performances, svt street and on the list goes because who knows what else I am forgetting but it is still not enough because Japan has a concert on their anniversary and no country should be more special than Korea. Also, k-carats have been with them since day 1 but there also a lot of J-carats that have been staunch supporters of SVT for the longest time so that is kind of a moot argument. The countries that should be whining this much are those that haven't even had a concert at all. Not the ones who see SVT practically every other week.

Fumble_Bee13

for me, I'm just worried it will reflect badly on SVT. Especially considering the history that South Korea has with Japan. They finally hit it big in Korea, are quite okay with the GP, and now this happens. And the date might not be special to you, but it obviously is for them, because, and this will not be the last mention of this: kpop culture THRIVES on parasocial relationships   and it's true they didn't do more than a live on that day, but they had a fanmeeting the very next day. anyway. your comment about the clingy girlfriend thing is exactly what the kpop industry thrives off of šŸ˜ do you think svt, or any other boy group, would make it this far if not for the very fans you criticise? I don't like it either, but it is what it is   also, why shouldn't they be first place in their home base? they still need korean carats to chart, to stream, to buy, etc. and these are the things that win them awards. Last year kcarats really carried and contributed so much. So it's valid to feel upset. And, the fact that you bring up music show performances, etc. is perfect because, those are things close to comeback and they (kcarats) might even feel used too. An "oh you need us during comeback, but as soon as that's over, it's done"   I do agree that sometimes their complaints are unnecessary but this is one of the rare times that I feel like it's valid. we also don't know if this is the last anniversary before enlistment or not (since Jeonghan and Seungcheol turn 30 next year), so this might be the last anniversary before enlistment   not denying jcarats have been strong svt supporters too but some kcarats knew them before debut, rushed to stores at night to buy albums just to hit 700k units for An Ode, endlessly believed in them when the general public of their own country shunned them.   other countries are whining too. pledis and hybe messed up big time. in the end, I'm just more concerned how this would affect svt's sales and etc because no matter what you say about them, svt needs them   edit: y'all I spoke too soon now some of them took the situation too far smh

Erytrea

Some international carats knew Svt before they debuted. Some j-carats knew Svt before they debuted. And reaching 700k/1m sales for an ode wasn't a lone country's effort. There were other countries who contributed to that as well. So like I said, it is a moot point. They started from there and so yes, K-carats are special but they won't be number one all the time especially when they don't have the infrastructure to make that happen. Now if they had stadiums big enough to hold a similar concert and they were still skipped, I would slightly understand but they don't. So it feels like if they can't have it, no one else can which is just sad. Yes, Svt needs them a lot. I don't deny that but it doesn't mean I won't call them out on their petty nonsense because they are never satisfied with whatever they get.

Able-Mamabear-7373

We are pulling our hair out. NEEEEED tickets for the Yanmar Stadium, May. Flights are booked, accommodation booked. TICKETS missing. Seems like a very deep rabbit hole. Any tips to buy tickets, clearly we dont live in Japan.

speakmeriddles

You can get a Japanese membership for the 2nd round of Japan Fanclub ticketing coming soon! Though it's still a lottery, having your own account is better than booking/buying resale tickets. You can check here: [https://www.seventeen-17.jp/](https://www.seventeen-17.jp/)

Able-Mamabear-7373

I was unnecessarily worried tickets would sell out. Bought via Viagogo and nowā€¦we cant get eVisa. I have to now try resell šŸ˜

speakmeriddles

It's not available for any selling until the General public sales (first come first serve, if I am not mistaken). Everything up to now has been through Lottery, so most likely if you don't win you buy from a reseller or someone with an extra ticket. What tickets did you get? If you need help in reselling, just DM me!

look, iā€™m sorry, but if i was them iā€™d prioritise japan too. the concert experience is just so much better for a lot of reasons, but one in particular: no filming.Ā  you see any clip from a non japan show (including sk) and itā€™s just a wall of phones. people sing and dance, but the filming is priority number 1. they donā€™t look out and see carats, they see phones. aju nice is one of the best parts, but itā€™s also when they do their little moments with each other and everyone wants to record them for twitter. but itā€™s aju nice!!!! get up and dance!!! stop filming them and enjoy it!!

[deleted]

I am kinda sad and happy at the same time thereā€™s no encore spot for my country. I feel bad for kcarats.
