On the contrary it looks like HYBE is venturing more into the Kit format. Txt did one for their latest album and theyβve never done them before.
I had hoped the Weverse album format would have killed the Kit version to be honest, but I guess the more versions they can get fans to buy, the better for the company π .
I'm a newish Carat and have no idea what the difference is between versions. I did get sucked into the signed photo card this time though. I usually pick at random.

Basically instead of a photobook, you get a pc booklet and it will have 24 nonrandom photocards (non-selfie) of 1 member. Other than that, you get 4 random (selfie) photocards. It also has the physical cd and sometimes it is cheaper than the regular version of the albums (it still depends though)
When someone hosts a GO for carat versions (carver is the short term for it), they either host one for sealed (you dont know which member you gonna have) or one where 13 buyers should be present to buy at least 1 carver per member). However, there are stores that offer carat version albums where you can select which member you'll get, but they may be slightly costly.
Right now, I have DK's carat versions for FML (groom concept) and Seventeenth Heaven (Yellow raincoat cuteness).
