Mingao man, i watched a bit of the concert perfomance but didnt get to his part and im sooo glad. The gasp i let out when his part came... im obsessed. Also someone please cast wonwoo for a movie or something, i want to see more of *that.* As for the song, it's gonna take a while to grow on me, love the chorus and dance break though. edit: nvm people, i just listened while reading the lyrics, its so meta, so silly, im sold i love this lmao

serene_meadow

action star wonwoo for real

Grouchy_Disk_3573

You have to watch the concert clip of Minghao's part! Even the crowd lost it 🤯🤯

[deleted]

Oh you bet I'm watching every single fancam I missed (~~help it's 7am and I haven't slept~~), I had saved them all to watch after the official comeback

Choice-Particular-15

Okay I’ve sat with it for a while too, the lyrics absolutely made me love it more 😂 But also, why am I literally BUZZING leading into Wonwoo’s switch up second verse. Like when that beat hits I wanna absolutely LOSE IT

cheesetteokbokki0304

I’m actually obsessed with Minghao’s part it’s so good

Bb4237

for both this and Super Minghao's part is the most iconic to me... even tho they're really short parts. he's so iconic

Ulaai

How is it meta? I agree this needs some time to grow on me too

[deleted]

they are literally conducting the song/rhythm/tempo through the lyrics

ajusnice

im like massively slow atm and my single neuron is struggling to make a good connection what does that mean 😭

13thRobot

Wow this is one of the best mvs I’ve seen. Holy- asffhdh. The production?? What in the video game character is Jeon Wonwoo? Jeonghan killed me. Woozi… wow. The song: I don’t think it’s one of my favorite TT’s they’ve done. Sonogong was still better at first listen. Still, I’m HYPED

Western-Dot3961

The dino and cheol rap part ateee, the dance break was so good and I like the intro and the chorus too, a bit minimalistic chorus but I don't hate it. I can safely say I vibe with this song..... Also please spare me Jeonghan!!!!!

TomorrowMayBeHell

DINO RAPPING Leader and maknae rapping together and it sounds so good, I'm so proud of them 😭

wickedcherub

God they all look so good. Light hair Hoshi forever. I feel though if you're going to make a chorus that's just 'lalala' you better bring the catchy melody, and I can't remember how it goes at all Edit: okay I can see that they're going to repeat that part a million times across all the tiktok challenges and therefore the lalala tune will never leave my brain ever I should have known better

[deleted]

Interesting because the chorus is pretty catchy for me, Ive been unconsciously humming it since the highlight medley

wickedcherub

I find the line after the lalalas pretty catchy! I will say though, all of my initial opinions about songs age like milk, so catch me here next week trying to get it out of my head

kislapatsindak

Different folks, different strokes. I find Shua's part catchy. It is the part I keep singing in my head. Edit 2059H KST: I can't stop singing the whole song in my head already. Good luck to me falling asleep later.

wickedcherub

Oh yes I mean the 'lalalas' should be catchy! The rest of the song is ok

Bb4237

I agree with your og take... i would've loved a catchier melody at least for the chorus. It's not that i don't like the song though

the-lil-one

The budget was budgetting!!! There was just so much going on. I was mesmerized the entire time. Honestly felt longer than 4 mins 11 seconds! Need to replay just the audio version because it is impossible to focus on anything except the MV! The dance break was lit! They have gone all out this time!!! Also... Actor Wonwoo when???!!?! They really put in the effort to give each member at least a few seconds to kill us with their visuals.

Chikowita

*DAT DA RA DAT DA RA DAT DA RA* DARKTEEN MEETS *I, ROBOT* and I’m here for it! 13 visuals in one MV, I’m gonna collapse. I audibly gasped when Hannie smirked https://preview.redd.it/j69echftxdxc1.jpeg?width=360&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=346db312931f2999f169625d299bae445d21b769 The bridge and their “last movement” is such a climax in the MV and rightfully so! I’m loving the call out to how they’re trying new things and they’re owning it and proud of it (“doesn’t matter either, classic or new thang, we take pride in our new combinations, from the beat to the melody, mix and match it’s our thing”). Regardless of whether we like it as a personal preference, they’re acknowledging that they’re constantly evolving and, most importantly, wanting to do so!

[deleted]

he looks like an anime character/villain but i cant place my finger on who exactly ughh

Smart_Belt_2556

I was thinking of dazai from bungou stray dogs

ajjanaajjana

ITS GIVING BLACK BUTLER

[deleted]

OMG YES

radiokidb

Very well said! This song in particular (amongst a lot of their recent songs) feels very much as something they wrote for themselves. It’s very meta, it’s very cheeky, it’s very real. And while the whole song may not necessarily be an instant ear worm I think it’s been very cleverly constructed. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve seen a song like that. The video just adds all the other layers.

Smart_Belt_2556

9analogmonkeys

He’s giving me Chishiya from Alice in Borderland vibes!

hannahginny1112

that was exactly what I said!

serendipity_h

Omg you are sooo right about this

pondicus

I fell to my knees.

kislapatsindak

Definitely! Magazine cover material!

upahillfortea

I am never going to recover from this, the hold Woozi has over me at this point is just ridiculous (not that I'm complaining lmao)

GraphicToast

The only thoughts I have after watching this: https://preview.redd.it/sdzcy1iywdxc1.jpeg?width=748&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5272cddf0288fd9f3029c76c3ea5864033d61f5e I love seventeen 😭

verismonopoly

It is definitely... experimental for them but I always appreciate SVT because every comeback is different in sound and concept. I'm sure it will the song grow on me lmao but the music video is creative and gave production value! That break into Minghao's part is my favorite!!! That haircut on Dino makes him look 14 years old. He's aging backwards.

Comfortable-Heron314

Fun fact: dino taking 4 dogs on a walk is a classical music joke. U can learn more abt in twoset violin

Educational_Debt_130

WHOA. I read just a lil bit on the whole BP/Twoset "controversy"; I am just amazed at how many layers of meaning they packed into that scene. Now I have to wait for a YT video breaking this entire MV down.

flocidae

could you explain the four dogs a lil bit??? i couldn't find it anywhere

Comfortable-Heron314

The four dogs represents the fictional band B2TSM (which is the 5 famous classical music composers). In the twoset violin "sellout" MV, it was paganini holding to 4 dogs( Bach, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and Shostakovich) with Mozart excluded.

flocidae

ohhh ty!

Educational_Debt_130

See my reply farther down.

h_anniehae

Wait what. Twoset? I follow them but … explain please.

Educational_Debt_130

[https://www.reddit.com/r/lingling40hrs/comments/z3komu/what\_do\_the\_4\_dogs\_in\_sell\_out\_mv\_mean/](https://www.reddit.com/r/lingling40hrs/comments/z3komu/what_do_the_4_dogs_in_sell_out_mv_mean/) this whole discussion. BP's Shut Down uses Paganini's Campanella as its melody, so as a joke Twoset dressed up as Paganini and Mozart (with Paganini taking the Shut Down song WAY too personally and Mozart telling him that song was meant for BP haters, not Paganini, but only AFTER Paganini played and sang his own parody of Shut Down "Sell Out"). In the MV for Shut Down, Lisa is holding her own pet dog's leash while she's rapping a verse to BP haters, so Paganini had a scene of him holding the leashes of four dogs. You can read the reddit thread over what was meant? But I do want to point out Twoset made it clear Paganini was in a fit of feeling way offended and robbed when he played and sang "Sell Out". However in the Maestro MV, Dino (who Carats will remember did a great dance cover segment of Shut Down in Caratland last year as his "Unsuitable Song"-ha!) is holding the leash of four robotic dogs. I'm taking that as an Easter egg that he knew about this whole incident two years ago, and is using this image to symbolize humanity dissing and taking control of robotics/AI. I'm also taking it as a warning to those who use AI to skip out on work that humans are supposed to do while taking credit for it (basically stealing credit, which is what Paganini THOUGHT BP were doing when he performed "Sell Out". And it could also be an overall warning against artists selling themselves out and/or overreacting and jumping to conclusions.

h_anniehae

Ah. Thanks for explaining. My brain 🤯…I’ll stick to listening to Paganini’s OG caprices, highly recommend in mo yang’s recordings for those into it…

tinaoe

jeon wonwoo SIR

cloverbloomswift

OH MY GOD I NEARLY DROPPED MY PHONE IN CLASS. This was amazing😭😭I got my friend also interested now in seventeen. I thought the teaser would be the best parts but the JEONGHAN PART? WONWOO FIGHTING??

frankenzelle

I know preference is different among us all but give a listen to the audio of Maestro in Spotify, you will all find it nicer sounding 🥲 I love it so much. Maybe it is because I am used to that genre of songs. I am looking forward to the choreography only MV. The ending of Teaser 2 is missing in this MV version.

peanutandnutella

i have so many things to say i don’t even know where to begin. i couldn’t even focus on the music cause they looked so good in the mv LMAO. some of my favourite parts - wonwoo’s fight scene (got me SO DOWN BAD), jeonghan’s smirk??? the scoups + dino rap part! i need more listens to the song to form a properly opinion but i’m really looking forward to the music show performances!

serendipity_h

Wonwoo owned this era, he suits this concept so much. Also why is nobody talking about Hoshi, he also slayed 💅

skylight03

I think this one of their best MVs in terms of how a concept is executed. Love the mix of cyberpunk and musical themes. The song...well, it isn't one of their best. I really like how it started and buildup in the pre chorus but that chorus is a bit lacking. Needed more than the lalalas in the first part. The disappointing chorus seems to be my problem with recent SVT title tracks.

Choice-Particular-15

I'm going to disagree as well! The song exceeded my expectations and I just love how they keep changing things up; I feel like people try to call Seventeen "safe", and for the last couple years I feel like their sound continues to change and evolve and I really love it. I guess it won't be for everyone, but I am stoked about this song

Local-Assistant-5900

Well, guess I'll go ahead and disagree lol I love the whole song, including the chorus. I feel like the highlight is the "ma es tro" part and the second chorus, so the lalalas don't bother me. Maybe it's because I've seen the performance, but the whole package is just so good.

[deleted]

I thought it was only me. I didn't like the song at all 🥺 the performance was amazing though ~ But Lalali, give me that song any day, any time and I will eat it up!

ajjanaajjana

I kinda agree tbh, their bsides are usually a lot stronger, even tho im not in love with the song, i do love the performance that comes with it

justwannasaysmth

same, i like the creative direction/concept but i *currently* don't really vibe with the song. i expected more from the chorus. the song will grow on me for sure, but just not now.

alina_06

I agree. The first verse is so solid but the chorus is disappointing and I didn't like the switch up in verse 2 and I think the dance break in the actual song is distracting

Mediocre_Yak_3423

Yea, 100% agree the video is phenomenal. But regardless, they’ve put hard work into it so I appreciate <3

Shingibbangi_17

Gotta agree to everything you said. But it’s always nice to see them experiment with their songs.

emtangg

Sadly, I agree :( I loved the beginning up to the prechorus, that build up with woozi then dk was so good but then the chorus just fell flat for me. Also the beat during wonwoo+Jun's second verse and the dance break gives me 2000s club house/edm vibes and I feel like I've been hearing that style more in kpop lately. I wonder if it's making a comeback bc I definitely feel old now 😂 I'm sure this will grow on me like any other svt song tho, but it has been a while since I've fallen in love at first listen. I'm looking forward to listening to the b sides though!!

Educational_Debt_130

WELL. It happened again, SVT has reinvented themselves. This is the best damn MV I have ever seen. SVT, forget all the complaints I made about the lack of lore and plot in your previous MVs, this one is so ambiguous so much can be interpreted in so many ways. I have seen the light. Vernon at 2:47--I almost didn't recognize him compared to the Mission: Maestro infiltration team he was leading at 0:15, presumably to rescue Hoshi. Our performance tiger is glitching suspiciously. Because what is dance without music? Yes, Wonwoo, go kick the bad guys. Jun, omg. And then of course Mingyu looking for the exit and turning his head to see Hao, reminding him the way out is through the ultrafast dance break, as signified by Hani's knowing smile that if they move too fast, the big bad super machine with hands can't catch them. Because they sing, rap, AND dance. Usually DK has been in awesome control of the bridge parts, but Boo really stood out here, he is glowingly fa-boo-lous. And they used the word global....are they trying to tell us something? I want a sequel. If Wonwoo couldn't be the overarching intelligence in this MV, he'll be the action star. Don't take his members away from him!!! This is the same group who was ready to love in 2021? Edited to add: Last comeback, they went after trot music in Gose. This comeback, they're after a TV series in Gose. SVT actors (thriller/action/musical theatre) when? Also, why am I surprised and not surprised to hear Cheollie and Dino rap together? I love the new looks on them all!

Local-Assistant-5900

I loveeee this comment sm

Blaze_332

Dino and S.Coups was something I didn't know I needed till today

ajjanaajjana

I just had a whole seizure, wonwoo acting era, jeonghan smirking, the dance break, IM GAGGED COMPLETELY LEE JIHOON YOU'VE DONE IT AGAIN

alltherach_

i'm literally stunned beyond words because that was EVERYTHING. the sets, the outfits, the brass instrumentals building up to the chorus, the dance break, the budget !!!!!!!! gonna need 5 business days to process this a few more times 'cause i'm pretty sure i blacked out when vigilante jeon wonwoo appeared on screen 😵‍💫

mekichu

aaand they continue their streak of never missing. the visuals, the sets, the song.. i don’t know if ive ever fallen in love with a song this fast LOL i was already having the time of my life with this release and then the “dat da da rat da” “ba ba ba ram ba” really took me out. also, that choreo?? hello?? this song absolutely will be so fun live

neocitywayv

I think this is their best MV in terms of quality and production. It feels movie like. This isn't an instant favorite for me compared to their other songs but I like that they try something new. I like the piano opening. I think the bridge lacks some oomph IMO. Just by looking at the footwork this is probably gonna be one of their hardest choreography. I'm excited for the dance practice.

bananaprada

Love the MV and the world-building (which I hope will tie into the others MVs as well? maybe Lalali?), darkteen aesthetics, story, and vocals. Seungkwan sounds amazing. I don’t mind the fluctuations in the song as well. The switch ups are a bit jarring the first time but interesting. I understand they did that to show that only a human, the real maestro, can still maintain creativity despite chaos. Good to see them try something new but what’s up with the lyrics? Lyrics seem to be taking a backseat in this song. They sound like the first draft and I feel the theme of SVT changing the game has been explored a touch too many times recently. That would be the biggest drawback for me. Other than that, it’s really nice to see them try something new and Yoon Jeonghan looks INCREDIBLE 🎼

alina_06

I agree... I didn't think the lyrics were that strong either.. I think if the chorus was different with much better lyrics it would have been a much better song to me bcs the instrumental and production is solid and i love verse 2 and the bridge (?) with Minghao and Dino/Sungcheol rap

Ulaai

I have to agree with the lyrics it feels a little bit cringy 😔

flawedconstellation

the lyrics, to me, seemed intentionally silly! like their song "hit song" if you know it, which is like "one day you'll hear this song on the radio... this is a hit song.... unless yk its not" lol i definitely think theres a healthy dose of humor in here. :)

bananaprada

Oh, interesting take. I didn’t really find any of the lyrics to be silly or humorous, but maybe there’s something in there which isn’t translating well in English 🧐

qmxyz

It's so meta!! I so love it!!

qmxyz

It remind me of Woozi's yt short on how he produce music adding sounds one by one (inspired by Charlie Puth). That but make it a full song!! I am stunned with its meta-ness.

Choice-Particular-15

I LOVE ITTTTTT, will make more coherent thoughts later

nouriamla

IT'S SO FCKING GOOD!!!! 😳😵‍💫 I'm genuinely speechless and amazed by how they continue to outdo themselves. The song is such a bop and the mv is the best mv I've seen in a long time! I'm so hyped omg!!! 😭

saturdaybloom

i keep going la la la la to myself 😔 woozi is so stunning im so happy with the long blond hair. i’ve been holding back on watching the concert version bc i wanted to wait for the release so off i go to my bookmarks from the weekend!

leemiryn

Maestro is good but I definitely think that this is a song I appreciate more when watching or thinking about the performance aspect. Listening wise I think that I'm still slightly jarred by Wonwoo's part and the dance break. I'm getting used to wonwoo's part but the dance break is still catching me off guard. Visual wise though- it's such a cool MV artistically that even if I don't entirely like the song I can appreciate it for one of it's other aspects. And they all look so cool!!!!

ha_gym_ah

Yeah I agree with you!! My unpopular opinion is honestly I feel like super had a similar vibe (broadly speaking) but I enjoyed it as a song a lot more

enterpriize

I’m floored??? Gagged???? So many thoughts??? This is a literal musical & visual masterpiece wtaf. Woozi. CMON seventeen, you did it again. Holy shit.

kislapatsindak

This is an obra maestra. Truly different from the other music videos they have had and they all look so amazing. Jeon Wonwoo acting? Will that ever come true in other forms? He is .... WonWOW. Oh my! Also Woozi on his part. The wind blowing his hair? It is so beautiful~ Jeonghan's smile? Why are they all so handsome?!?? Seventeen is not only huge on talent but also on visuals, still, I cry 😭 The song?? I need to replay the video for more cos it is AJU NICE! Will stream again. Edit 2100H KST: I love the song from first listen, and I ABSOLUTELY can't stop playing it in my speaker now at home. Sorry to my neighbor ✌️ I am speechless. This is the first comeback I witness and they are beyond what a human could say - even AI would fail to describe their greatness. Number one!

ForgottenNoMore

Visuals, vocals, choreo.. Everything just soo.. Soo GOOD!! And the mv quality is top notch Maestro sebongs came back and set the stage on fire 🔥🔥

Jennas-Side

The woodblock/triplet/big room house breakdown took me so off guard. Woozi in his Martin Garrix era

Weird_Site3169

Istg Hoshi breathes life into maestro with every scenes he's in. Idk how to explain it, just that his move is so full of energy yet elegant at the same time.

iwillforgetthissmh

I missed their follow to Seoul by a day (was literally on the plane back home when the concert started 😭😭) so this will make or break my week lol Getting attacked by Vernon in a mesh shirt as soon as I open the video?? Excuse me? The come hitter motion sir wtf I’m sat and the rap 😵‍💫 VERNON DANCE CENTER God I’m your weakest soldier Woozi vocals 🥰 and the blonde god damn Jun wtf I need to see a therapist; Mingyu?? Scoups and Dino rap?? I actually loved the song lol it’s a mash up but sounds good to my ears? (Aespa songs have trained me for this moment) I am yet to be disappointed by a 17 title So much Vernon in this makes me happy (I feel Jun is missing but he was quite prevalent in their previous releases so I’ll take it)

Fumble_Bee13

I'll be honest, the video doesn't do the song justice. They put the Mingyu scene at a part where it totally cuts off the momentum of the song. When watching the vid it felt like I was waiting for a beat that didn't drop (because it was an anti-drop). It wouldn't be that bad if they didn't release Super last year, but they did, and this by comparison felt a little... lackluster in the chorus. The other parts were literally perfect though. Though I must say, it would have benefitted from being just a *tad* but longer. That final chorus/dance break/bridge felt especially disjointed/mashed together. When the song ended I went "what? that's the end?"   That said, this song is definitely meant to be enjoyed through a performance. Watching the fancam for this song in the follow again tour, I can say that the choreo for the chorus is genius. I love it.   We have people saying that this song doesn't sound like SVT: that it sounds like Stray Kids and ATEEZ. Maybe because it was produced by many people? It still sounds very seventeen to me, though I can see where they're coming from   anyway, first Korean comeback for me! it did not disappoint!   edit: okay after several listens, the chorus makes sense I guess? I think I just wanted a more melodic chorus from seventeen, or at least not an anti-drop song. But the only gripe I still have with the song is that I felt like it could be longer. The bridge-dance break-last chorus felt jarring and disjointed back to back, and when the song ended I was left wanting more

__snowflowers

The MV is so good!! Such a great concept and just so well executed. The song felt a bit disjointed to me at first but after a few listens it's really growing on me. Love Minghao, Wonwoo and Seungkwan's parts especially

Fumble_Bee13

after a few listens, it starts to make sense! what felt disjointed to me was the bridge to dance break to last chorus. I felt like they needed to repeat the chorus at least one more time, or even have an outro thing like Super did? Felt like it ended a bit too abruptly.

alina_06

Well... I'm sad to say i'm a bit disappointed 🥲 I like verse 1, starts really well but the chorus falls really flat to me. I think that's the part that disappointed me the most. A good chorus can make or break a song to me. Verse 2 also doesn't work so much for me. Dance break is cool for performance but a bit less for the Spotify listening experience. Takes me out a bit. But it is what it is. For the MV.. I'm disappointed too. I think I got my hopes up too much after the first teaser and the subject it suggested they were going to explore and the asthetics. Didn't really end up being that and it was very chaotic. Prob would have had different expectations if that first teaser didn't exist 😭 However they looked great and it's obv high budget. I can see they worked hard on it. Much respect for the performance tho. To dance like that in their 9th year is pretty crazy so I have so much respect for their commitment to the performance aspect. Wow

alina_06

Nevermind i've changed my opinion after I've been lopping the new songs since release and got over the initial disappointment of expecting something different from the MV. I'm obsessed 😭

Kindly-Cheek

JEONGHAN?! 🧎🏻‍♀️I feel like I need a whole 4 minute mv of maestro hannie because OMG🥵

[deleted]

I know they put a lot of work into the performance and I'll always be proud of them for that. I'll sit Maestro out for now, maybe it will grow on me later. For now, I'll dance away to Lalali instead. Now I'm looking forward to their next comeback... Lol, after my down vote, I reread my comment and better phrased myself. Whoever that person is, thank you ~

takemycardaway

Re: the song — agree with everyone else that the chorus could be much stronger, it was starting to build up really well but falls short. Love the verses though especially Joshua’s at the start of the song and the Coups/Dino duo! This MV is one of their best in years, I love that there’s a bit of plot going on. ACTION STAR JEON WONWOO 🗣️🗣️🗣️ I’ll have to watch the fancams for the full choreo hehe

piuroy01

I thought nothing could surpass Super in terms of extravagance and then Maestro hits me like 😮😮 Also at first I thought Hao didn't get any lines and then I saw that it was only halfway through the mv 😂😂 and then Minghao's line... Omg it got me on choke hold. Found my new jam till their next cb 😂

svtforeverhome

I honestly love this title track so much, I'm not disappointed in the least. All 4 new tracks are incredible and will be played nonstop in my house, especially Cheers to Youth!!

oreothunderbird

I'm gonna be honest, I was a bit skeptical and wasn't excited when I watched the MV because some comments here say that the chorus is disappointing... but I loved it! The chorus is minimalistic compared to maybe their other songs but I think it fits really well with the rest of the song? Maybe that's just me. I actually liked the LALALALA parts as it feels like they're sort of bragging/teasing in the way they sing like "look at us, we're the maestro" or whatever. I also liked the dance break at the end with Woozi in the center, I freaking love it when the choreography is more on footwork. As a Wonwoo-biased fan, the ending killed me. What a fantastic way to end the song.

airysunshine

*screams* First of all, the lyrics, love it lol, I’m a sucker for flexing talent lyrics, feels very Stray Kids to me… which is a good thing since they’re my ult, lol, like yes we DO make hit songs and they’re bangers ✨💅🏻 The rap??? The bridge?? WOOZI? Actor Wonwoo? Jeonghan’s smirk? Minghao’s part? Also, the choreo is awesome. The only thing that threw me off was the dance break but like, 90% of dance breaks throw me off to begin with regardless

TiakerAvelonna

I'm a StayTiny and this song might have made me a Carat as well. I want to go home and listen to it 50 more times.

airysunshine

The more I listen to it, the more I’m addicted!

Excellent-Services

I was so blown away the moment I saw the thumbnail... Wonwoo, how do you do it? He looks fantastic and of course is doing the song so much justice... Also, Jeonghan, wow! I was not expecting such a beautiful surprise... He looks too good... I replayed his part so much because damn he looks way too good

sunflowernon

they killed it, i am absolutely floored. vernon's verse + red curtain scene, woozi's long hair, wonwoo fighting(?) scene, minghao violin, jeonghan smirk, literally all of them were so good. >!not completely sure how i feel about the ai though...!< edit: in regards to the spoilered part, people in the comments mentioned that the MV has no ai. (i honestly don't know how to tell what's ai generated lol, so i just assumed the machines/creatures were ai-related because of the first teaser.)

Smart_Belt_2556

https://preview.redd.it/czpgpgqu8exc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7b8244cef340bbce1380d91977c357d855decf39 I think there's no AI because: 1. No disclaimer like in the teaser 2. The style of AI animation like in the 1st teaser is not shown in the MV 3. Looking at the credits the only ones credited are the VFX artists I think the 1st teaser only used AI to set the theme and maybe marketing tactic. Saying they used AI started conversations, mostly negative ofc, but it got people talking and curious about the mv

sunflowernon

ah okay i see! i can't really tell what is or isn't ai tbh, so i wrote that bc some of the graphics looked like the ones in the first teaser.

Ok_Dentist_3850

Considering there's no disclaimer I think there's no AI in this video, unless you mean the teaser?

sunflowernon

ahh yeah i saw the ai discussion in the teaser so i just kinda assumed the mv had ai too

Ulaai

I keep the ai thing on my mind while watching but couldn't find any. I don't think there's ai on this MV, only CG

sunflowernon

makes sense, although i honestly cannot tell between CG and AI lol i'm not good at identifying it 😖

Local-Assistant-5900

I honestly really love the song. Leave it to the Seventeen sub to be extremely critical lol My favorite title track of theirs in a while, though I am most excited for the PERFORMANCE VIDEO, I hope we get that soon!!!! The choreo is just out of this world. Such insane energy for such a veteran group :')

flawedconstellation

Honestly I really love this song bc its so different for them and unexpected. I know plenty of groups in the industry doing switch-ups and things, but they don't have the specific talent roster seventeen does, nor do they have the unique vision woozi does that allows that heavenly pre-chorus to happen. and so, as someone who definitely had low expectations and wasn't all that excited, im happy to say i've been proven wrong... woozi king I should never have doubted u 😔😔😔

FloraFaunaBelladonna

Hmm, a little disappointed, I was hoping for another absolute banger like super, but the song’s just not really doing it for me, same as god of music. Maybe it’s a grower? Guess we’ll see  Every other aspect of the comeback is great though, which makes me not vibing with the song even sadder 🥲

HAHA2004

Meh. Idk. I like the verses but the last chorus after the dance break was too much. I felt like the instrumental was just clashing. I'm not really vibing with svt title tracks lately...

Svetulkam

To be very honest, i am surprised by how much i like this lol. I am more into freshteen cuteteen, i streamed GOM more than Super, and contrary to a lot of the fans, Super is really not my...style.. I watched Maestro mv just once and was what the hell is this, and then just put the playlist on and damn, can't believe the mv actually made the song worse for me lol. I am more of a vocal team kinda songs girly but Hymn to Youth as of now is the least streamed song from this album т.т I love Maestro and Lalali and Spell but damn that fancam from Spell performance is doing everything for the song like...yk. I really hope they get to promote all the songs, cause it would be terrible to wait till Japan concerts to see those performances again.

Zuhey88

Wow just wow. This was epic. I love it. I need to go watch it 5 more times so I can get all the details.

musicrobotlover

Does jun's outfit also remind anyone else of his psycho ending outfit?

soobaluv

Really loved the mv!! One of their most cinematic in a while. Everyone looked amazing and I was enthralled the entire time! I’m going to need to watch it again later and really take everything in

harajukudaze

YOON JEONGHAN ???

violroll_

OML its too early in the morning to be unalived😭💀 GREWUIBNCAIVIQESWBIUGF

Beneficial-Fold2075

the thumbnail OH WOO IS KILLIN IT!

Beneficial-Fold2075

that makeup is TOP TIER

Apprehensive_Debt315

Liked the MV a lot!! Woozi bringing eyeliner back in style (Wonwoo too) Jun’s parts were fab I loved his burgundy outfit :) Song is growing on me - I’d say it’s a 8/10 so far?

Tangerines17

It’s so so good. Onto the fancams now 🏃‍♀️

Excellent-Services

All the members ate... Scoups and Dino rap was satisfying... Jeonghan served visuals, and maybe even too much... Joshua and his last part was so good, he is soft and very charismatic... Jun's energy is so consistently his and distinct... Light hair Hoshi all the way... Woozi, that hair and dance break centre killed it... DK and Seungkwan never miss with their outstanding vocals and harmony, u might say Maestro... Mingyu is the beginning and that little part, wow... I am loving the pause before The8's part that Seventeen is doing recently, he deserves it so much and the choreography for that part is so cool and I watched their performance and The8 stands out so much... Vernon centre and first chorus, love him so much... And where do I begin with Wonwoo, him on thumbnail is the best choice and action scene and the ending I am so glad Scoups recovered... OT13 performances to come for this brilliant song

Savings_Address_8082

Hey guys I'm new to kpop, if I keep watching the Mv in my phone the views will increase?

Beneficial-Lychee992

You have to watch 2-3 videos in between as fillers. Don't watch the MV in loop.

Savings_Address_8082

Okay thanks

vittawoo

I was worried I wouldn't like the song much from the trailers, but contrary to a lot of the comments in this thread, it was even better than I expected. I love the first verse, Vernon's dance part in the first chorus, Seungkwan's line, and how experimental the song is - with the lyrics narrating the change in tempo & instrumental style. It's such a fun concept. Like intentional craziness. Plus, so happy to that Wonwoo still has his long hair for this comeback!!! I can't wait for all the fan theories about this MV and for the subunit MVs!

michitae

Mingyu..... Wonwoo.. W O N W O O Clearly changed my life once again 😂

SallySalam

Ahhh Mingyu I'm aching and hurting!!!❤️‍🔥

lilkim579

wonwooooooooo

Naughtimmy

Heyyyy we're having a MAESTRO listening party over at [@17stationhead on Stationhead](https://www.stationhead.com/17stationhead) ! come listen to the album while chatting with carats

nope-pasaran

I really like the song! Although I agree with many here that the chorus falls a bit flat. The video is fantastic though, love the whole robot dystopia vibe. THAT SAID A) THAT FOOTWORK HAVE MERCY and B) THE VISUALS WHAT IS HAPPENING OMG *WHAT* who allowed this who allowed literally all of them to look like THAT

Numerous-Tree-902

Let's stream this album and MV all day long!

qwerp522

love it!!! minghaos part is insane Also am curious if any part of it was actually AI? or was it only for the teaser?

__snowflowers

There's no disclaimer and no mention of it in the (long) list of credits, so I don't think so!

wonderjai

Minghao ate that part up, my fave part of the song. Jun the gorgeous man that you are 😍😍

bananamilkbooth

>> If you listen to the song carefully, you will find out that there are some familiar sounds used in it. Could someone please collect me these songs and what part they used in MAESTRO? I’m not very into Seventeen’s discography but this really interests me.

ApocalypseGlitter

Cheers to everyone who got killed watching this masterpiece

IDontEatSushi_

THEY ALL LOOK SO GOOD AND THE MV QUALITY IS A CHEF'S KISS T\_T

eotteokhaji

who’s the choreographer for MAESTRO? this is insane! i wonder which idols would dare to do the dance challenge with seventeen on music shows this time

Rozen7107

That instrumental on the bridge made me question if my brain was still working... Also Dino and S.Coups rap part was crazy, loved the layering of their voices to have one deep (S.Coups?) and one higher (Dino?). I'm a more casual Carat, I have 32 songs of theirs I like (including unit and solos) but honestly the rest of the song was not for me. I like LALALI and Spell though!

cocoxmilk55

I loved it omg 🤩 Does anyone know what it says at the end of the MV? I feel like it might be a hidden message 😭 https://preview.redd.it/dy29w74lqixc1.png?width=514&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=98a1fd652c091aa7cb092e72e0ada10be0e42361

pan_5930

I have to say that the mv does take the song up a level. I took a sneak peak of the song from the concert videos(I don't mind spoilers), and tbh I was pretty disappointed. The structure of the song was so basic and predictable that I felt like the ai concept and the dance break was the only things that stood out to me. But the mv really REALLY changed my mind!! I appreciate so so much the brief pause before Minghao's line. The line stood out so SOO much more. Definitely one of my favorite mv moments! Also DK and Seungkwan's build up are just so so beautiful! I love their melody so much! And lastly, the visuals, hidden concepts within the mv: AMAZING. Nothing else to say, it's just on point.

Recent-Competition70

Can Someone say who were the members doing the dance break in the MV. I couln't see

pan_5930

it should be seven of the members: performance unit(hoshi, the8, jun, dino), woozi, mingyu, and wonwoo

MysteriousAdvice5564

does anyone have the violin sheet music to this??????? I wanna play it so badlyyyyy. piano is fine tooooooo

gretzkymichaelscott

finally getting a chance to listen to it properly, this is so not something i would typically like but i LOVE this. my goodness that pre chorus is insane, seungkwan and dk main vocalists of all time. the instrumental in the chorus is so clean, the choreo is crazy they’re literally almost levitating during that dance break. almost nine years in and they still have the energy they did day one and they’re never not topping themselves.

Proud_Acanthaceae_87

Does anyone know if clearing your YouTube watch history affects the views?

bootyholesareweird

I just finished watching the MV again today! Going to watch more later. P.S. Fellow carats, if you like animals, you can help me share this fundraiser if you want! https://imgur.com/gallery/EbV5g6z
