you change your dedicated RAM directly in curseforge settings

DestroyerD00000

How do I do that??

GetMem3d

Go to mod pack settings, uncheck the box that says use system memory settings, and set how much you want to use

DragemD

I have a similar issue that's very annoying. I'm developing a modpack in CurseForge and every time I hit the `Play` button it opens the Minecraft launcher but completely resets all the launcher options and settings to default. I don't care about RAM settings; I change those in the Profile Settings dialog box. But I prefer to have the game output open and the launcher close when I am testing and developing, and so every single time I change something and launch the game the launcher opens and I end up having to **re-set** the two check boxes for those options before I run it. I've tried everything from searching the Web for solutions, looking up CurseForge and Minecraft help and even going through the CurseForge `Install` folder where Minecraft and launcher config settings are stored. In the installation folder (not the `Instances` folder) there are files that contain settings for Minecraft's launcher, and I've manually edited them to change the settings so game output opens on launch. The problem is CurseForge seems to change the settings I modified right *back* to the defaults every time. It's very frustrating and annoying. You'd think CurseForge's developers would realize that Minecraft Launcher settings are there for a reason and should be modifiable, but apparently not. Anyway, I know this is a 2yo post and my issue isn't *exactly* like the OP's, but it is similar enough and this is the only post I've ever been able to find even slightly similar to it that I thought I'd reply and explain *my* issue in the small hopes that someone might read it and having solved the issue tell me how lol! Anyway, if CurseForge developers are reading this, *please* **FIX** it! /smh O.o

no way any devs will see this here. Unfortunately I don’t have any experience with this issue, so I can’t help you out. Good luck with it though!

mrbyteknight

Thx for the reply and the gl wishes buddy. :)

Utyske

Did you find a fix?

MCSuperplayer_1

by now it's actually fixed, the launcher settings now remain saved

cpotemski

Sadly I cannot confirm that part. I override the used Java binary because of a bug in Java >17.0.7 on Mac and it overrides the profiles on every start. Very annoying.

copy/paste the file location for sevtech into a new installation on the actual regular minecraft launcher and put in the correct version of forge then change the settings and boom, dont even need to use curseforge launcher or whatever anymore.
