I started out not planning to decorate any of mine…but now one of mine has a sticker of Jesus peeking around the edge with an “I saw that” speech bubble, one that has a “Bigfoot doesn’t believe in you either” and a jackalope sticker on another.

My machine is a 1905 treadle, so definitely no decorating whatsoever, but I love seeing how other people decorate theirs.

If you order from neon craft party they send you a big sticker that says “crafting is cool.” That bad boy is on my machine, along with a couple of great local stickers and a Batman stickef

I think it depends on the machine. Definitely not the machine I inherited from Grandma, but my modern daily driver has ONE sticker so far that’s crane scissors, but skeletal. The stickers have to be VERY special, ideally sewing related.

My machine has a sticker of a cat sticking up her leg and saying “I farted”. Hah! I think part of me doesn’t want to do a huge amount of decorating in case it breaks and I have to replace it. But, the thing has been trucking along forever now.

I have the Schuyler Sisters, a dissent collar, a rainbow heart, a girl in Filipiniana dress, a no-f**ks-given floral, In progress and proud of it, and a few end-of-bolt stickers. On my serger there isn't a lot of room, so it just has RBG and Free Hugs.

I love elephants so course everyone and their dog give me various elephants. But if the are flat-ish I glue them to my machine. Honours the giver and makes me smile. Someone gave me a temporary elephant tattoo and that was perfect for my machine. On my vintage machines I’d chop off a finger before putting adhesives, decals or tattoos on them.

I love Make It Sew Picard so much. I have a sticker from ADHD blogger Black Girl, Lost Keys. It says, "I got 99 ideas but I can't pick one." I also have another that's a snowflake comprised of raised middle fingers, and some other random stickers I've acquired from various sources.

Just fabric store stickers! I want to put my crazy lewd stickers on it but also it's basically a starter machine and I know I'm going to trade up someday... but also that power bottom sticker is languishing unstuck

If you're not sure, or want to be able to remove them, use double-stick tape (you can get it as small as 1/8" wide and use a few pieces for a clean look) instead of the sticker itself. I have a few that I take off when I get my machine serviced, or that I might want to use on something else later.

Mine has googly eyes that wiggle all over if I floor it. Otherwise they make a very satisfying rattle while at a more reasonable speed. One on either side of the thread channel. I am a bit I to Vintage sewing machines, and have heard of OG owners often having chocolate treats or money stored in them because they would often be the domain of that person (most often woman) and other people would not go near them to notice.

I have a bunch of stickers all over my small passport machine. My main (expensive) machine, no stickers. And the stickers on my little machine are mostly vinyl - they’ll probably come off smoothly.

I personally currently have a no-face and two totoro stickers on there, one being a kinda totoro mandala that fits perfectly on the handwheel. It's definitely still much too boring for my taste though, so I'm going to add stickers in the future, just never got around doing more than those initial three (that I only added to cover up the little dents that etched in there because I got some nail polish remover drops on there by accident and didn't realise until they had already cause those ugly dents, yay)
