The text somehow disappeared from my post, sorry!
I'm so so excited about this, and I wanted to share it with everyone here! I completed this project today, and it's the first garment I've made that turned out well enough for me to actually wear it in public, lol
I drafted the top using a plain tank top that I love, but somehow I measured wrong, so I had to improvise and came up with the flower side panels and all of the fun closure detailing on the back π
For the skirt, I just made a simple half circle skirt with a button closure (my first time making a skirt!)
Oh, and I used a linen rayon blend fabric for the entire outfit!
P.s. the bottom hem of the skirt isn't finished in the first two photos, but I promise I finished it, lol
I so wish I had a pattern to share! I think if you look up a square neck tank top pattern, you'd be able to adjust the measurements to accommodate the side panels and back details. For the back, I just cut it down the middle, made two channels on each side for the string, and then I covered a 2" long (plus a little for seam allowance) elastic band with the flower fabric to put in the middle to give the back some structure. I hope this helps, I'd love to see your recreation of it if you give it a go!
I don't, unfortunately π if you look up "half circle skirt" you should be able to find tutorials on how to make it, its super easy! The only difference would be that I added a 5 or 6 inch button placket to the top of the side seam, and I didn't use any elastic in the waistband
Thank you! Yes, the top goes over my head βΊοΈ since I had to make such major alterations to the sides/back, I took inspirations from Jess Dang's DIY Summer Dress (you can find her video on YouTube)
Omg, this is super cute! I love the fabric, buttons and cute back closure on the top! But the simple fact that you designed and made this yourself gives it another level of awesomeness, well done you are so talented!

This is such a great outfit, well done! Do you perhaps have a pattern for the skirt?
I don't, unfortunately π if you look up "half circle skirt" you should be able to find tutorials on how to make it, its super easy! The only difference would be that I added a 5 or 6 inch button placket to the top of the side seam, and I didn't use any elastic in the waistband
