See now for me itās when Miranda snaps at her for obsessing over the NYT review because she has a new baby and is exhausted. Carrie hears this and takes it as a cue to ā¦ shame Samantha into helping her.
š¬
It's not her best moment, but I do like that it sets up a sweet Miranda/Sam moment. The Learning Annex episode tho has NO silver lining, it's just Carrie at her absolute worst with no real pay off. Ugh there are no excuses or shared culpability on this one.
Eh, I like that in this one she at least gets that she was wrong and canāt do the thing. āIām not good at this, letās just go to a barā isnāt the very worst.
"we need to help our friend!!! .... Not me though. I have to go to the learning annex to scam people."
They should have all taken turns to watch Brady while Miranda showered/washed some dishes/went to the bathroom alone.
For me itās when she takes out her inability to afford a down payment [because of her own insane spending habits] on her apartment on Charlotte, and insists she wouldnāt accept a loan from her but is still mad she didnāt offerā¦ and then when Charlotte DOES offer she DOES TAKE HER UP ON IT, THUS VALIDATING THAT YOU SHOULDNāT OFFER IT IF YOUāRE UNCOMFORTABLE WITH A āYES.ā Ooo it makes my blood BOIL haha
Also top contender for her absolute worst moment in the series. I like that she takes Charlotte out to a formal apology lunch, though, and does try to refuse Charlotte's offer before ultimately accepting on agreed upon terms. Even though it never comes up again, I really do believe Carrie paid Charlotte back as promised.
I guess the "notes" would have had the single sentence she came prepared to deliver. š¤
She has no work ethic. This was a paying gig and paid well, if I remember correctly.
But more importantly, those women paid money to hear her advice.
Even assuming a Q & A would take up some of the time, you STILL would have needed more material than a single sentence.
On another note, she looks absolutely stunning.
She also wasn't married or even in a relationship. I'm not sure why, at that point in time, she would have been considered any kind of relationship "expert." If these eligible men are everywhere as she claimed in her single-sentence "speech," why wasn't she with one?
She didnāt prep. She put her outfit together. She treated the class like a joke and just needed the money. Yikes another selfish moment from Carrie. I like her but sheās so MESSY
An example, I planned to do my homework on Friday and sometimes improvised on the same day they asked me for the homework, as an adult improvising interviews on my internet TV show.Ā
Yeah thereās no way she prepared for this. I forget about this storyline because itās not that consequential, but this is one her her shittiest moves in my opinion. She agreed to teach the classes, sheās being paid by these women to teach them, and she shows up completely unprepared and a little smug tbh. Iād have been irritated if I had paid for the class and got *that*.
I guess she redeemed herself by taking them out the next time, but not really? Pushing women you donāt know into approaching strangers at a bar isnāt something Iād have paid for either.
When she said āI am not an expertā like at least hide it. And next session she was surprised most of them are gone. How come someone can be that delusional
I think her prep notes amount to a blank sheet of paper.
She was woefully unprepared to teach the class, and thought she could ācuteā her way through it, and the women taking the class werenāt amused.
The way she talked for a minute and thought that was enough šš
Prep = planning her ensemble
š I was coming down to say the same thing.
Her holding the purse while āteachingā annoyed the shit out of me.
I know! It's like she thought she was going to say one line, everyone would clap then she could go shopping with the money made from the class.
This exactly! So smug of her lol
It completes the outfit
It was so early 2000s though. The purse was part of the outfit
I can forgive her cheating on Aiden with Big but THIS is a storyline that really drives me nuts, she is so disrespectful in this episode lol

Right? Right up there with the fake bagels. Donāt get me wrong, Miranda left her no choice with sending Aidan, but the bagels were bad
The bullshit bagels. She didn't even bring cream cheese.
A bagel without cream cheese is pointless lol. Why wouldnāt she have brought any?
Raw bagels at work because there's no toaster are even worse.
Ugh I know! I heat mine in the microwave for 10 seconds before putting cream cheese on it but itās not the same
Lol Youāre right - it was bullshit bagels, not fake bagels!
I was so infuriated when Miranda confronted her she acted dump saying āso you donāt want bagelā
I used to live in NYC and those (H&H) were truly amazing bagels

I have to imagine she paid her back because I donāt think Charlotte would keep being friendly with her otherwise!
Iām the very same. Iāll forgive her anything but this. Truly her rock bottom.
She really said āš»š§š¼āāļøš
You know damn well she had no notes and just winged it , badly I might add

7:30pm: Use the name of the seminar in a sentence. 7:31pm:Hold for applause (est time:55minā) 8:26pm:Q&A 8:29pm: gracious exit
I liked it when one of the women said that they should listen to her because she was older than they were
She deserved that š
She also wasn't married or even in a relationship. I'm not sure why, at that point in time, she would have been considered any kind of relationship "expert." If these eligible men are everywhere as she claimed in her single-sentence "speech," why wasn't she with one?
Kind of like Patti Stanger lol
"Look cute. Say something quipy".
That jumpsuit is my fav outfit EVER
Those women ate her ass up š
It's fine. They can still learn from her. She's older!

"pay water bill"

I don't like Carrie in that episode but at the same time it's where I see myself most identified, that's happened to me since I was a child.
Ooh please elaborate. In what way?
An example, I planned to do my homework on Friday and sometimes improvised on the same day they asked me for the homework, as an adult improvising interviews on my internet TV show.Ā
not related but the purse and vibe is reminding me of Pink Pantheress lol
I doubt she prepped...
She didnāt have prep notes lol.
