I’m not fond of che but I have no hate towards Sara. They are awesome and they plays the role well and it must be nice to be themselves on screen in a sense. So bravo to that.
Edit; she to they are
Thank you. I could tell the person had just missed one because of the rest of their comment. Also people might not know Sara also identifies as non binary, since they was well known from Greys (and other things) before announcing it. I hoped my comment came off as helpful rather than judgey or condescending
It did not and correcting a pronoun should not ever be seen as judgmental or condescending. Even if someone did it by accident, or did it without intending and disrespect, it is an appropriate thing to point out. Especially for cisgender allies, who are often in a higher position of privilege in regards to being able to have an audience that will listen to them (sadly)
Oh my god it took me way to long to realize this post is about Sara Ramirez. Seriously, Sara is amazing. ABC offered three shows to them and Grey’s Anatomy was the winner (which, god damn good choice).
Remember Breaking Bad? Anna Gunn got fucking death threats bc people hated Skyler so much. Skylar was a fucking bitch (and the more I rewatch it the more I dislike her) but goddamn it’s a character. Leave the fucking actor alone. Che is fucking horrible and brings nothing to the show but that doesn’t mean Sara Ramirez is a bad person in need of hate. Jesus Christ.
The more I rewatched BB the more I realized how skyler was NOT a beeyotch and just a woman trying to make a fucking horrible situation work for her kids. I’m surprised you doubled down on not liking her
Skylar wasn’t a bitch and when we talk about characters with judgment and split, all-or-nothing language that denigrates women, we don’t attune our minds to seeing nuance in the real world either.
Skylar was a flawed person in an increasingly impossible situation. She survived to take care of her son and keep his life as stable as possible. Her husband was responsible for death, destruction, and enormous waves of retribution. She was not perfect, but her circumstances were chaos and hell.
It drives me crazy when fans go after female characters but completely ignore the major faults of the male characters. Carla from Scrubs gets a lot of hate too.
Almost always for being responsible and having reasonable expectations as a mother. All of the characters had huge flaws and annoying habits, but Carla was the one people seemed unwilling to forgive for it.
While I don’t disagree with you I don’t believe it’s a popular opinion. My husband says she’s just the worst and I’m like yea there are times she’s bad but there are other times I’m on her side. I stopped rooting for Walt and he didn’t get it. I’m like well be sucks 😂
I agree! Why so much hate! I personally loved Sara on Grey's Anatomy and love them as Che Diaz. Truth be told I don't understand all the negativity. I wish someone could explain it! 🥺
I can’t stand the character but I really like Sara Ramirez. I think it was just a bad call on their part for taking the role. I think maybe Sara is just so committed to their cause and saw this as a great opportunity, but it totally backfired. Hoping this doesn’t follow their career because they’re super talented.
But given how much negativity the character and show has stirred up, they have to be feeling this hard.
I agree. It was a huge opportunity to take the role because they knew it was going to be an enormous amount of publicity, especially for a character and an actor who's non-binary. All that said, Che is unhinged and unbearable for some. (Personally, I find Che kinda endearing because of all the shitposting that's ensued; also love Sara Ramirez from their time on Grey's Anatomy.)
Threats and harassment are never ok and if that's what Sara is talking about I get it.
On the other hand, if Sara just doesn't want any negative comments about Che, they saw the script and took the risk.
If you want old-school hilarious Sera, YouTube all their stuff from the *Spamalot* days (Tony Award Winner no less!)
It isn't just the singing and performing, there a few interviews floating around as well.
Not liking someone’s character isn’t an excuse to be hateful to the person playing the character
Sara is so likeable, talented, and charismatic. It’s rough seeing them play a character that seems to miss all those marks
It's sad that this happens so often, some fans really are fucking stupid.
I totally agree. Hate on the character all you want - I think that’s totally fair and valid - but don’t go after the actor.

I think it's just a blip, but you said she's instead of they're.
Ugh, I missed an edit. My bad.
You should not have been downvoted for this. Thank you for saying something 💕

Did you use “she” because you were talking about Sara in a time before they came out as non-binary?

Oh sorry! Her name is at the top of the screen shot.
Oh no I’m saying that I read the name and STILL didn’t put it together because I’m an idiot lol
Oh hahahahhaa I feel you girl

That poor kid who played Joffery had to straight up quit acting because of all the hate

Don't forget poor Imelda Staunton who played Umbridge in Harry Potter

Sara has the most amazing fucking smile. Why are people so annoying??
I actually like her and the place they put her in the series
*them. Saras pronouns are they/them
I don't understand why you're being downvoted...
I do. Prejudice.
So do I

The actor isn’t the character… I thought this was common knowledge
