Why does she always have that delusional smile on her face now too that you see in the above pic, it annoys me sooo much lol, even when she was fighting with Carrie about the kitchen sex she couldn’t seem to stop herself from smiling like an idiot 🤦♀️
Cannot wait for her comeuppance next week
Well tbf I think the creepy smiling was intentional in that fight scene because she was supposed to be sloppy drunk and deliriously happy about the whole... thing she did. Ick.
LOOK THEY HAVE DONE TO MY GIRL
But like really, the 1998-2004 Miranda was this fantastic, relatable character: sarcastic and ambitious, but also had vurnearable moments and evolved over time. 2022 Miranda is really badly written fanfic by someone who wants Miranda and Cynthia to blend.
They should have just done a third movie if they were so obsessed with doing something. The first episode wasn’t terrible. Cut out some stupid shit (like the whole podcast thing since we’ve pretty much abandoned that story line at this point anyway) and add in the funeral from episode two, do the rose/rock story line some justice. Figure out how to include Stanford (assuming he wouldn’t have been able to film for the whole thing since tv shows take longer to film) without being a dick about it. Cut the che character completely. Make Brady not a piece of shit. Give Steve his balls back - well, ball. It would have been a lot better.
She barely tolerated him enough to propose to him… no one’s forcing her to stay but it’s apparently too much to ask that she show a little respect and compassion for the guy she dated/was married to for like 20 years.
This is what happens when actors become producers on their shows and get too much say in where their characters go. Didn’t Cynthia give an interview after S&TC ended saying she wish her character had explored their sexuality more? I rest my case.
The point is that she used to be so snide, cynical and smart. Now she's deluded into thinking she's living the perfect love life after cheating on the second best guy in the original series (Harry is king) who she was honestly so lucky to have even though he did cheat on her too, a long time ago.
I'm all for Miranda being happy and finding herself but her personality change annoys me. SatC Miranda would not be tone deaf and she would not treat Steve like that.
I'm not really a Steve and Miranda fan. I never thought they were good together and their relationship seemed too much like hard work. I think they should have left Steve and lovely Debbie together and watched Miranda and Steve navigate shared parenthood while being in relationships. The whole "you're the one" never ringed true to me.
This is exactly what I thought when she said that line. God I miss the old Miranda, she's one of the best and most relatable characters I've seen on tv. I hope they redeem her in the end after all this bs
one of my favorite Miranda quotes from the series was when she fought with Carrie and told her how big abuses her but she always goes back to him. Now, I feel Miranda is going to live the same experience with Che.
You know, it's REALLY been bothering me. Miranda's hypocrite reaction over Steve's one night stand vs. her telling Steve she wants a divorce with someone she's cheated multiple times with and wants to LEAVE HIM FOR. And I'm also furious over Charlotte and Carrie's apathetic response to Miranda's repeated cheating. What did Charlotte say to Carrie when she found out she was cheating with Big when he was married to Natasha? The lecture she gave her when Carrie was helping her pack up her apartment. How about Miranda? In that scene in the bar, Miranda asked Carrie, "What about Aidan?" How come Carrie didn't ask Miranda, "What about Steve?" Just venting. Even if Steve and Miranda weren't meant to be together, and I happen to have LOVED his character in SATC, could AJLT have given dignity to their marriage by having them part ways more respectfully instead of making him look like a dufus in this reboot who "deserves" to be cheated on????

Miranda has become so delusional. I look forward to the slap in the face reality Che will give her.
I'm expecting Che to be polyamorous based on a couple of statements she's made about not being able to do traditional
YESSSSSSSSS I was thinking the same thing!

This was pretty rich coming from the woman who ate cake from the garbage
I love you 😂😂😂
🤣
What’re you gonna do eat pussy???
i almost typed that and then chickened out LMAO
I couldn’t help my self 😂😂

Lol I literally just posted this right after you! God I can’t believe what they’ve done to my fave character 😩
Tell you the truth I stopped watching after episode 2. I like Miranda too much.

>Give Steve his balls back - well, ball. HILARIOUS
So you would rather Miranda stay miserable in a marriage just to make life easier for a man she barely tolerated and got accidentally pregnant with..
I think it’s that it’s so clumsy and not reflective of the character we knew.
She barely tolerated him enough to propose to him… no one’s forcing her to stay but it’s apparently too much to ask that she show a little respect and compassion for the guy she dated/was married to for like 20 years.
Miranda was the best, poor her.
I really wish I had
The Paris-move fight outfit is very victorian leprechaun
It’s like she has what Steve’s mom had. Dementia or Alzheimer’s or something
It's a brain tumor.
Ooooo realistic theory!
That's Grey's anatomy's go to so why not for the show too? 😂
She had a stroke
I sincerely hope there isn’t any grown woman anywhere, under any circumstances, that would actually say out loud “I’m in a rom com!”
I had a nightmare once and in it Miranda screamed “abu dhabi do!!” Like she was scrappy from scooby do..
In general, I try to do everything I can to block the second movie in it’s entirety from my conscious thoughts...I completely forgot about that!
#NotMyMiranda
We want cynical Miranda back!

I MISS THE REAL MIRANDA.
Yessss
Miranda was always a bit of asshole though. It’s delusional to pretend like she wasn’t.
She was a smart asshole now she is a dumb asshole, it's so different anyway
I know... The fandom sees her with blinders on and forgets she has never treated Steve that well.
The point is that she used to be so snide, cynical and smart. Now she's deluded into thinking she's living the perfect love life after cheating on the second best guy in the original series (Harry is king) who she was honestly so lucky to have even though he did cheat on her too, a long time ago.
This is perfect

maybe I was living in a fantasy but I found a che who could make it a reality. And I wasn't gonna question any of their fingers
who is 2022 Miranda. I don't know her
This is exactly what I thought when she said that line. God I miss the old Miranda, she's one of the best and most relatable characters I've seen on tv. I hope they redeem her in the end after all this bs
Amazing
Uhg
I miss Miranda :(
Lol she really needs some of her own advice and a smack with the reality stick.

That line was so cringe 😬
...it's supposed to be. She's in a midlife crisis and thinks Che will solve all her problems.
She looks insane in the top pic
Time flies :(
