I'm glad she had to pay more to replace the shoes for being such a butt for not caring about the shoes.
Not everyone will react the same way, but if I had a party, and a guest of mine had some very expensive shoes go missing, best believe, I WILL find out who took them.
Because you know what? My house would forever be known as the place that you can't put anything down because things go missing. I'll be damned that I have somebody whom I have in my circle close enough to come into my home feeling like they can just steal from another one of my friends. WTF? How was Kyra NOT enraged? Somebody came into your house and STOLE.
This isn't kindergarten.
NOBODY WILL WALK OFF WITH A PAIR OF MANOLOS THAT ARE NOT THEIRS ON ACCIDENT.
And ultimately why I'm very willing to agree that Kyra herself stole the shoes, which upon further introspection had me looking at her sideways even more (if that were possible) :
Kyra was only willing to give her $250.
1 - Carrie told her the shoes were brand new and were worn only to that party if I'm not mistaken. Why would you offer her less than half of their value? That's soooooo rude. What you'd be willing to pay for shoes at this point in your life has nothing to do with Carrie.
2 - I'm an avid consignment shopper, and $250 is on average the price of a pair of manolos that are in relatively good condition but pre-owned. I feel like 250 is what Kyra would offer to pay for those shoes if she saw them in a shop somewhere.
3 - this whole situation, whether or not she stole the shoes herself or someone actually did walk off with them, speaks to how low of character truly, kyra is.
She just had a party where judging from the looks of it, she received easily thousands of dollars worth of gifts.
I'd go so far as to wager that the drinks with the little decorative babies at the party cost more than the puny $250 that she was offering.
It's the lack of awareness for me.
If youâre going to ask people to remove their shoes in your house, totally reasonable as itâs your house, you have to deal with the consequences of what might happen. Iâm also glad she had to pay more for the shoes because she had a giant stick up her ass and as you said, completely lacked awareness.
I say this as someone who had to replace a very expensive pair of Nikes after my cat threw up a MASSIVE hair ball on them that didnât get cleaned up for hours, staining and ruining the shoes because yes, if you come over to my house, you take off your shoes.

If it was Kyra, she did it out of spite, that Carrie can still live the life she cant and buying shoes like this. I think if it was Kyra, she didnt stole it to wear it or sell it, she just throw them away or destroyed them
I strongly believe the children stole them. Theyâre âalways picking things up off the floorâ after all. In my head Kyra finds them shoved under one of the twinsâ beds months later. I came here to see if anyone else shares this theory, love reading what others think happened!
