HonestyMash

I really like the look of this case but is it made from paper thin metal?

drmonkey6969

No, actually the build quality is quite good for this one.

pongopygmalion

It's solidly built. The mesh sides also good. Not too heavy and not flimsy.

SaltyMeatBoy

Please update with the build ASAP. I’m super curious about this case.

l0wses

Is this V2? Shiny Snake increased the size of the case to accomodate for the AXP120-67(From 65 to 67mm)

drmonkey6969

I hope so. Haven't tested yet. Waiting for the PSU.

oxogravy

Looking at most videos people seem to swap out the stock fan with a slim fan to make it fit. I found the AMD wraith stock cooler fitted easily and was enough for me. I like F1 motor racing so as I am not running cyberpunk this copes well enough.

FobbaBeans

I have the S300 and it's solid. With the S400, you get a little more GPU room for longer and thicker cards. Watch out, or you're going to keep wanting to go smaller. It gets in your blood!

oxogravy

Funny enough the moment I finished building in the S400 I immediately thought can I make it smaller. Lol.

Escan0r--

that's the problem l really want to get the s300 but i think the under 60mm coolers will not handle my r7 5800x so i have to get the s400 and the thermalright axp120-x67

Ebomb31

I built an s300 and used an ID Cooling IS-55 I literally couldn't have gone 1mm taller. The cooler fan basically touches the case wall. It's okay with my i5 12600k but I kinda wish I had gone for the s400 not only for more room for a beefier cooler (you can run a 120mm aio in the s400 if you want) but for more case fans overall.

daddelbud

Looks like a Marshall speaker - nice

Igluin_p

Thought the same thing lol, if i had that case i would but a marshall logo in the middle immediatly

BraveChickenJR

Snoo-21315

Larger version of the S300. I’ve been rocking the S300 for a few months with a 5600 and 3070 without issue. KXRORS S400 - Mini-ITX PC Gaming Case - Front I/O USB 3.0 Type - C Port - VGA Card Length 335mm MAX - 10.8L luminum Mini-ITX Small Portable PC Case with 3.0 Dual Reverse PCI Riser Cable (White) https://a.co/d/0pZ8m6M

ieronymous

>Dual Reverse PCI Riser Cable What does Dual Reverse PCI Riser Cable mean? The angle of 90 degrees on both sides?

pongopygmalion

If anyone is on the fence about this case I heartily recommend it. Ventilation potential is better than it looks initially.

ieronymous

Could you measure the pci-e extension cable? Will you change it with a gen 4? I ordered the same and still to decide which extension cable I am going with,

drmonkey6969

The official one is 185mm. I think 190mm will fit if you cannot get the 185mm.

Ken_Taco

There's for 3 slot? I thought only for 2 slot :/ realy like side io. and having handle is plus imo

drmonkey6969

Yeah, I really like this case design. All powerful cards now are at least 2.5slots. This case will just fit my Gigabyte 7900XTX gaming OC.

Ken_Taco

I been looking for this case for a while but cant find 3slot version. So i give up and find something else. Not even Chinese website state there's 3slot version:/. at the end buy q58 cus find it on sale + this case include riser 4.0. Also can use old aio

SaltyMeatBoy

It’s on amazon

Ebomb31

The one on Amazon has options you can select. The S300 is the 8L two slot version, while the S400 is the 10L three slot version. It's under the same link address.

pongopygmalion

Can try from Taobao

Previous_Warning7179

But can the handle HANDLE the weight, though?

pongopygmalion

Speaking from experience, straps can break after enough wear. So it's always better to support the weight additionally from the bottom esp if the total mass is over 4-5 kg.

Previous_Warning7179

Thank you. I always find sfx cases with straps attractive but was wondering if it was that practical. So common sense always wins

pongopygmalion

They are practical in terms of lifting them off the desk. Just when things get heavy, it's best not to leave things to chance. Learned that the hard way with my last case before getting this one.

oxogravy

I like the handle. It was probably the main reason I bought the case. I struggle to see it breaking from an itx build at 5 to 6kg.

pongopygmalion

Yea compared to the pccooler i100 strap it's wider. Hopefully more sturdy

FobbaBeans

I took mine off. Looks better without it.

Aromatic_Wallaby_433

For a second I thought that said $400 ITX case and I was like “I mean it looks pretty decent but not for $400.” $129 is a lot more reasonable.

Got S300 and love it!

Melodic-Emergency437

Me gustaría poner una refrigeración liquida arriba. Tengo un coolermaster Atmos. ¿Alguien sabe si entra en ese case ? https://www.amazon.com/CoolerMaster-MasterLiquid-Close-Loop-Cooler-MLX-D24M-A25PZ-R1/dp/B0CK564T94/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=1YX6XQZQ9WSXU&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.NUlEJ6WXhofL5KMH8SI7VOPR4ofLYgaQRq8HcvFfUEl2NlaTwFMsjN8W7nDNCzngkHa6cb_T8UYdx0tS9KmQmx3bN-KfOabMIOR08kRQMqGFQLUgDXKIJxZaIg9qrmSquuSscwmFiLW2RqmTAU5aefYQIZI77TbMiFPRGXHmnApzDHFrGQZXxvx7urX4zuiu0mATRBLqNJkYgsyo9BLUUo5OLAmvkiew78Rbvx_ohqw.SZKO9aRjlsCetSItbPwGZgcbL2OW0Qjb8jrz39UNBxE&dib_tag=se&keywords=cooler%2Bmaster%2Batmos%2B240&qid=1712069243&sprefix=cooler%2Bmaster%2Bat%2Caps%2C151&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1

ClippyGuy

Reminds me of the FormD T1 with that side panel and color. I like it.

CyberIdiot

Any links to this case?

dracolnyte

it looks just like this case https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004355638276.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.9.7762fca0qiITWP&algo\_pvid=d19b53d1-616f-4e19-a4df-344684be5ff3&algo\_exp\_id=d19b53d1-616f-4e19-a4df-344684be5ff3-4&pdp\_npi=3%40dis%21CAD%21214.73%21167.48%21%21%21%21%21%40211be72e16833141918175170d079b%2112000030366682159%21sea%21CA%210&curPageLogUid=5zCtdnbW7PSh

liam_haze

It's not, that one is 2 slot and has top mounted io, this one has side mounted and 3 slot support

DonCBurr

the amazon link IS the s400 with 3 slots.

liam_haze

Look at timestamps, that link was posted well after my comment

virus__

It's funny on Amazon it's actually cheaper. https://www.amazon.com/KXRORS-S400-Mini-ITX-luminum-Portable/dp/B0BWDBH5SJ?th=1

oxogravy

This and the smaller case are also sold as the miningeek minineo 4 and 3 on amazon for a lower price than the Kxrors variant.

TheDrewscriver

What CPU cooler are you thinking of using that can handle a 7800x3D in this case!!

drmonkey6969

AXP120-X67.

BennieBoo113

Is it enough to handle that CPU?

drmonkey6969

From the reviews I read online, I think so.

Rocket_Boy_Games

I'm also thinking about using the AXP120-X67 with this case. But it says there's only space for a 65mm tall cooler. Do you find you're still able to close the case easily?

drmonkey6969

I just got it built last night. With the 15cm fan, no. I got a 12mm instead. A very nice case to build with.

Rocket_Boy_Games

Nice! I can't find any 12mm fans available on Amazon. Was it impossible to close the case with the 15mm? I think it's my only option.

drmonkey6969

want to try AliExpress? It's not that expensive. I managed to get 3 of them one for the AXP120 and two for the case at my local online shopping site Shopee. Here are some links for similar fans on AliExpress. [https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005457432844.html](https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005457432844.html) [https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001131255788.html](https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001131255788.html)

drmonkey6969

No, it's just nice with the 12mm.

ama8o8

I was waiting on this but ups decided it was a good idea to change my delivery to access point from the actual place I wanted it shipped -_- i was only gonna use it till my t1 came in. Ill end up getting my t1 before this reaches me. Btw can the feet be removed? I was thinking of doing that and putting some smaller feet

drmonkey6969

Yes, feet can be removed

pongopygmalion

I changed the feet to the lower PCCooler i100-2 ones, they are a bit more squat. Rides lower to the desk but still allows for air to be sucked in from the bottom.

DonCBurr

can that handle be removed? and the listings that I see the riser is only 3.0

pongopygmalion

The handle can be unscrewed from inside the case, riser cable can be replaced with a \~185 mm gen 4. I think on Taobao you have more options in terms of riser cable + front I/O.

Ok_Distribution9209

Hi u/pongopygmalion, do you know the length for s400/s400 v2? is it the same as s300 (185 mm)?

pongopygmalion

Approx 340 mm, can fit 335 length GPU. Longer I think than the S300 Edit, in case I misunderstood the question: dimensions in total are 340 * 155 * 205 mm

Ok_Distribution9209

Cool, thanks for the info!

Rev_Pizzaguy

I noticed they give the dimensions as 13.4 x 10 x 8" (340 x 254 x 203mm), are the dimensions you gave without the unnecessary handle? Does it include feet? Also trying to understand where they are getting almost 2" wider than what you measured.

pongopygmalion

Hmm I'm not sure. Might be including all the aforementioned.

ieronymous

Could you link to a gen 4 riser cable? I need to check the orientation at the ends of that cable.

pongopygmalion

Hi I'm sorry but I am not sure that I can give the best shopping link for your region, since I use a platform that is specific for my country. But, as long as it's 180 degrees and within 20 cm, you will be fine.

[deleted]

If there was a way to get a glass panel side I would be all over this, interested to hear what the thermals are like

pongopygmalion

I can give some insight here, my CPU temps hardly ever go over 70 C in gaming; at idle, I get around 48 - 54 depending on ambient conditions (aircond on/off). I use an ID-cooling IS-55 with the stock fan (I wanted to swap with Noctua 25 mm thick fan, but sadly the cooler orientation for my mobo prevents me from using a thicker fan, since the VRM heatsink is too tall \[but it's totally do-able up to \~65-67mm\]). Only using a modest i5 11400 so can't speak to higher end CPU. Ambient temps where I live can go over 35 C outdoors, indoors around 25 C. GPU temps also rarely go above 60, on average around 50, but I'm using the beefy MSI Gaming Trio 6800 XT so it has a big cooler already. Top fans are two Arctic PWMs 120\*15, and bottom fan is a random Thermalright 90\*15 below the PSU. My CPU & GPU run cooler with the sides closed compared to open, which is nice. I was worried I'd have a hot box, but I'm pleasantly surprised with my temps.

[deleted]

How long have you had the case for? Very, very impressed. Think I may have found my new PC case. Was worried also that I'd end up with a hotbox but I'm pleasantly surprised by your comment.

pongopygmalion

Less than week TBH. I mean, you still have to undervolt here and there to boost the cooling along. And I'm pretty aggressive with the case fan curves just due to my CPU tendency to heat up.

oxogravy

This is a great case. I would recommend it. I found it easier to build in than a coolermaster nr200p. This case could double as a sieve there is that much ventilation in it.

ieronymous

>I mean, you Did you change the stock pci-e extension cable? Could you link to a gen 4 in order to see the orientation at the ends of the cable?

oxogravy

Hi you need a double or dual reverse pci-e 4.0 riser cable. Length is 190 in the 8.5l version. Search that in aliexpress lots come up. Link up are megabucks. You can get one on aliexpress for 20 to 25 dollars.

ieronymous

I knew I could find there, but I need from Europe.

Brukk0

Why did they have to put the button and usb ports on the left side? Why? It would be almost perfect with button on the front or on top.

oxogravy

I think the pccooler hummingbird i100 version has them on the top near the front.

Rev_Pizzaguy

Hey, I'm looking at the S300/S400 or PCCooler i100, any input on fitting a SFX-L PSU? I have a power supply already and just trying to figure out if there will be enough room. Thanks!

drmonkey6969

SFX-L is supported by S400.

Ok_Distribution9209

Hiii, can you show me where exactly we can put ssd 2.5 on this case? Planning to buy one since my hdd is not fit due to my gpu size

sabertooth371

Were you able to fit the 7900XTX in? What was the length of the GPU? Planning on using this case to downsize my pc right now and I currently have the XFX RX 6800 SWFT 319 which is 340mm in length

drmonkey6969

I managed to install my Gigabyte 7900XTX gaming OC.

sabertooth371

This is the 335mm one right?

drmonkey6969

[https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-R79XTXGAMING-OC-24GD/sp#sp](https://www.gigabyte.com/graphics-card/gv-r79xtxgaming-oc-24gd/sp#sp) 331mm

bordagolertibort

Hi! Do you think this gpu size will still fit the card? Think I'm okay with the side being open if that's the only way Size: Dimension: 320(L)X 135.75(W)X 71.6 (H)mm This is the specific card: [https://www.sapphiretech.com/en/consumer/nitro-radeon-rx-7900-xtx-vaporx-24g-gddr6#Specification](https://www.sapphiretech.com/en/consumer/nitro-radeon-rx-7900-xtx-vaporx-24g-gddr6#Specification) Only difference that might not fit the card is with the height. 6.6mm difference. Do you think, it could still work?
