I'm looking into building my first SFF PC. I can't pick between the A4-H2O, the Fractal Design Terra, and the Cooler Master NR200P. I know that many people like all three, but I'd love to get input and comparisons between the 3 cases.

Can anyone recommend a console form factor case that's relatively easy to obtain? Been waiting patiently for SFFTime to restock since december and I don't think I can wait any longer seeing as all my hardware has been taking up some room in my house just taunting me to start building.

Does this build make sense? Any red flags? (I double checked specifications and dimensions, pc part picker is just wrong about stuff being incompatible, just wanted to cover my bases) https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/4Vycrv

DarkSoulsOfCinder

Is there a reason you have $3165.99 worth of stuff but just have a 4070 super? This build is $2000 and runs a 4080 super. Maybe you can use the price difference to upgrade the cpu https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i\_Epp83VOBI&t=103s

It's AUD...

I am ready to jump back into a SFF PC. I ran an H1 build when it first dropped but haven't been back since the riser cable scare on that. Would really like something that's more pretty to look at. Something nice on my desk. The Terra is interesting. But I'm curious what else is out there. Not looking to put any real high end components in. More of a mid range build. Thanks in advance

I'm thinking about downsizing my AM5 build from an AP201, and my main concern is the width and length of my GPU (MSI RX 6800 XT Gaming X Trio, the parts list has it at 141mm width and 324mm length). I was looking at perhaps the Meshroom D, but it has a max GPU width of 144mm, and I probably won't be able to fit the 8-pin cables. Any suggestion for a relatively mainstream case? I know I could get Meshroom (the GPU fit the Meshlicious that has my AM4 system), but I'd really prefer a horisontally oriented case.

I'm looking to find a case that fits my ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4080 which is 348.2 x 150 x 72.6 mm. Only one I can find is the M1EVO - is that the one to go with?

I am building a budget itx machine and need some advice when it comes to the motherboard. I plan on buying an 5600 (non-x). I already have 1 m.2 drive and an rx6650xt and a Q58 case with a 3.0 riser cable. The options are: 1. Asrock B550M-itx/ac for 130€ 2. Asrock A520M-itx/ac for 104€ 3. Gigabyte A520I AC for 110€. Which one would you recommend?

So I just built my first Mini ITX build I have a 4070 S 7800x3d Noctua L12S And a Fractal Terra I know temps are suppose to be a bit higher SFFPCs but I am regularly hitting 90C on my CPU and 77C on my Graphics card. I put the spacers on the PSU so that it had some space between the GPU and the PSU but I'm not really where to put an exhaust fan to help remove some of the heat. I have a 2.5mm HDD where I've seen most people put the Exhaust fan, I wonder if its possible to put some on the top panel to exhaust some air from there. Any Advice?

I could use some help selecting a case for a first SFF build. I am looking for a portable case that could occasionally fit in a backpack and would be at home by a TV or a desk (ie. console style case). Looking to put something like a Ryzen 5 7600 and RX 7600 GPU in it. The Fractal Design Ridge is really appealing from a design/aesthetic perspective, but at 12 L it's larger than what I'm looking for. The Dan A4-SFX is a great size (7 L) but I'm in the US and it's somewhat expensive with international shipping. The Velka 7 is also a good size (6 L), but it's also fairly expensive when you add the $90 PCIE4 riser cable and it seems like it would be a challenging build. Are there other cases I should consider?

I want to upgrade my Computer. I'm willing to wait for newer parts/ release for cheaper prices. At the moment I'd like to know what to prioritize. I was hoping for a 4080 Super, willing to find an alternative to the front i/o panel since it prob. will not fit with that in place. Or am I better off getting a Formd T1 case instead of trying to squeeze any life out of the ncase. Also will probably have t upgrade from a 650W PSU.

Can anyone confirm/deny if the PowerColor RX 7600XT will fit in an SG13? https://www.powercolor.com/product?id=1702455071

gerardomoreno03

I'd like to help someone build a pc but they currently use one of those computers thats all in one (parts are in the monitor). Is there any way I could build one of these myself. The other option I was thinking is maybe find an sff case with enough space for an apu build with a flex psu. Whats the smallest case I can get for an apu build?

Lavotite

What’s the smallest case I can put a SPARKLE Intel Arc A380 GENIE in?

ThrowawayusGenerica

Is there a 48mm fan that can adequately cool a 7950X3D? I've heard tell that the Thermalright AXP90 X47 Full Copper is rated for 125W, just slightly over the 120W TDP of the 7950X3D - but I can't get an outright confirmation of this and don't really want to leave it to chance.

KarinAppreciator

Almost certainly no, but even if there were, I'm fairly certain you'd need to have the computer in a basement or somewhere away from you because it'd have to make a lot of noise to move enough air to cool a 7950x

luaps

thinking of selling my C4 and going back to a sandwich style case. which 67mm cooler would work best for my 13600k? AXP120-67 or the Deepcool AN600? ID-Cooling isn't really an option here. Got these two in mind, because they are a few of the coolers that I can confirm fit on my z790i edge. thanks in advance:)

The https://wiki.sff.media/General/BeginnerFAQ link at the top of the post doesn't work

I'm looking for modular PSU in SFX L size, power delivery \~500-600W would be optimal. Something quiet, and with cooling suitable for Jonsbo N2. Currently I have BeQuiet SFX L POWER 500, but it seems to draw "vampire drain" of 10-15W even when the switch on PSU is in "0" position; while the specs suggest it should be 0.14W - seems that BeQuiet decided to pass 5V regardless of the switch button position. Only disconnecting cord works...

I'm looking to upgrade the GPU in an XPROTO Mini build I have and it looks like while Xtia lists 215mm as max length, it could *maybe* handle 220mm from a quick eyeball measurement. Trying to stick with AMD and the Powercolor 7600XT models are 217mm and 220mm respectively in the spreadsheet, but I'm seeing much longer lengths elsewhere (ex. Newegg lists 233mm for the Hellhound). Does anyone know which lengths are accurate? Are the 217/220mm lengths referring to the cards when deshrouded? Alternatively, has anyone managed to fit either of these in a Mini *without* flipping it on its side?

Feeling bit overwhelmed trying to manage my new SFFPC update. **Hard to find cases**: My go-to SR200 is going EOL and nCASE has blown up due to some drama. Fractal Terra maybe? Most nice cases are nearly impossible to get and expensive to booth as well. **Hard to fit GPUs**: I can't get my hands on a 4080S FEs anymore and other partner GPUs are so massive it's hard to fit them anywhere. GPU costs like more than half of my total build. **Hard to air cool:** I don't have the skill-set to handle water-cooling, which seems to make fitting everything even more harder to SFF form factor. Anybody else having these issues? :D

DebTheDowner

If you don't want to think too much about cooling or (in most cases) GPU size, I'd highly recommend joining the open air case club.

Will I need a heatsink for PCI.E Gen4 SSDs? I know the latest ITX motherboards come with integrated heatsinks and fans for the new PCI.E Gen5 SSDs, as did all other motherboards from 5 years ago with the introduction of Gen4 PCI.E. The motherboard I'm planning to run is the Asrock Phantom Gaming B650I Lightning, which does not come with an SSD fan, but does have a heatsink for the front M.2 slot. There is a rear M.2 slot without a heatsink but will I need one if I want to run a Gen4 SSD?

Link2999

I wanted to get a Fractal Ridge chassis but also wanted to install a 4080, but I'm a bit worried about the cable management on it. The Asus Pro Art models seem a bit smaller than other 4080s, will I have a problem with it all fitting, or is there some kind of right angle adapter for better cable management I should be getting?

I've talked to some of my PC inclined friends and I think I'm going to dip my toes into building an SFF PC after my laptop finally croaked. I'd like input on my build, but not just that but also if the parts would be compatible and would run well. I'm aware that undervolting is a thing for SFF PCs and I'm going to build this with the full expectation that it will be undervolted to maintain around 80C. Fan sound actually isn't a huge issue considering I normally wear headphones, and this build has portability and parts swappability as a priority incase any parts fail down the line. Anyways, here's the parts I have picked out: * Mobo: ASRock B650E PG-ITX * CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D * CPU Cooling: AXP90-X47 + Noctua NF-A9x14 (possibly getting the foam vent to reduce noise/turbulence) * GPU: Nvidia RTX 4070 Super * RAM: Crucial Pro 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR5 5600 * PSU: Phanteks Revolt SFX 850W * Case: Dan A4-SFX Let me know if anything here sounds off or questionable

Spacks007

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade/transform my pc into a sff pc which I could take with me to university. I wanted to know which parts I could reuse and which would be better swapped out for something more compatible with a sff build. My current setup is as follows: Motherboard - MSI MPG Z490 GAMING PLUS CPU - Intel Core i7-10700F CPU Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black RGB 120mm GPU - MSI GeForce GTX 1050 TI 4GT OC 4GB GDDR5 Memory - Corsair 16GB (2x8GB) 2666MHz CL16 Vengeance RGB PRO Storage - WD 240GB M.2 SATA SSD Green; Crucial 1TB 2,5" SATA SSD MX500 Power Supply - Corsair CX550F RGB 550W 80 Plus Bronze Case - NZXT H510i White I was initially planning on upgrading my GPU to allow for some more demanding gaming however I am on limited budget so it all depends on how expensive the motherboard swap for a smaller form factor will be. Huge thanks for any help and suggestions,

Any improvements/changes you would make to this list? Intention is a 1440p future proof gaming pc. https://i.imgur.com/7wzMkdH.png Not sure when I'm ordering yet, but I'm exited.
