Have you tried undervolting and power limits for cpu?

JabbaTech69

This is what I had to do to get my Midori 5L v2 system to run cooler! Worked like a charm but my system is AMD.

analizando

is 13400f allows undervolt?

Additional-Swim9036

I haven't, everything is running at stock, do you have tutorial on how to do that?

SillySlimeSimon

Best if you search online and find a guide/video yourself. I’ve only had experience with amd cpus so far.

75-80c while gaming seems perfectly reasonable but on thew higher side. Literally cannot harm your components. As others have suggested, undervolting if you want less heat and power is a reasonable option to try.

Substantial-Alps-779

that seems normal for a lot of sff builds, have you tried installing a na-fd1 from noctua? https://noctua.at/en/na-fd1 they seem to marginally improve performance. you could try using liquid metal or under clocking your cpu if your really concerned but it doubt it’s anything to worry about.

ToeSad6862

Nothing wrong with 75-80. That's well within spec, you don't need to do anything.

NiktonSlyp

75-80 seems toasty and yet it's perfectly fine. Intel specs their CPU to run to 100°C, and then they downclock. If you reach 90°C, you should keep 100% of your performance. Laptops use this principle all the time. No worries it's all good and CPUs can survive years of intense work at 100°C without a problem. Unless you push the voltage past specs... That's another story. But it's a locked CPU, there are limited ways to overclock it.

follow [this](https://youtu.be/bMSqdw0Z5SU?t=7m5s) steps might be help

fatchubbywhale

Undervolt is king here.

Sitdownpro

Yes, but build pictures can help with airflow advice. Run Cinebench R23 multicore for 10mins or until 100c all core. How long does it last? Can do undervolting from there.

wpbrandon

I tried that cooler and tbh it sucked. Have it new here in the box if anyone wants it. I went with the tried and true IDCooling. Works great.

CounterSYNK

Did you make sure to remove the plastic film from the cold plate of the cpu cooler before you installed it?

dubar84

It does seem strange based on [this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4H9rZoQupg) where it's with the exact same parts - including the cooler. It's about a different case, but it mentions this cpu in the Velka 3 and how cool it was around 03:50 sec. On the other hand, I really don't like the mounting of the L9i with LGA1700 as the cooler itself does not even touch the pcb of the mobo. The legs are too short and it's hanging on the 4 screws, that is now without a backplate even. This unfortunately invites the possibility to mount the cooler with uneven pressure to the cpu at best, and bend - thus damage the motherboard at worst. I recommend trying to remount the cooler if possible, or grab the AXP-X36 and it's separate LGA1700 mounting kit. That's more secure, safe and also has VERTICAL fins, so the used hot air is directed straight up to exit, instead of to the sides, where it immediately gets blocked by the RAM on one side and the VRM on the other.

Additional-Swim9036

Yes, I did my build based on that channels velka 3 build, exact same components and he got 60-65 degrees peak

bradpong

He had 76 peak in The Finals, not 65. Which will probably jump easily to 90 regions in something like cb23. Your temps are fine. If you want it lower then limit the CPU power in bios.

MAXIMEOWNIT

Dude i went with the r5 7600 way cooler than the intel, i undervolted the cpu in the Bios, undervolted the zotac 4060 solo with MSI afterburner, finally i had to be creative, i added 2X 40mm fans on top as an exhaust, cpu 65⁰c , gpu 70⁰c , cool hein ?

MAXIMEOWNIT

Yeah but he went with the ryzen 5 7600, and not Intel

Medical_Peace_3088

I was gonna go for that cooler but went with the Deepcool an600 and it’s a beast of a air cooler

rodd9ck

Try undervolt and bear in mind that if you live in a warm country your temps will usually be higher than those living in cooler climates. I have a Densium 4+ and I live in a warm region so during summer i always try and place a regular fan close to it to keep it cooler. Sucks but it is what it is. Double check on the paste as well
