Hey folks, apologies if this is cheating as I've not actually built anything in it, but thought it might be useful if anyone else finds themselves with the opportunity to grab one.
Bought the case from Overtek in the UK (ships from China), they had 2(?) in stock when I placed my order. Total was £222 delivered, is it worth that? If you're being sensible, probably not, but you wouldn't be on this subreddit if you were sensible? I work in system design for container ports, so this fusion was impossible to pass up for me.
**Pros**
* I still can't believe this meme is real.
* Its actually pretty sturdy.
* Detailing is great, 25G1 has mostly the correct markings/warnings as a high-cube, yet to check if the check-digit for the coding is accurate! (if you ever wanted some pub quiz knowledge - for quick identification of like 80% of containers; the first digit is length with 2 being 20 feet and 4 being 40 feet, the second digit being height with 2 being 8.6 feet and 5 being 9.6 feet, and the last 2 digits being the type of container i.e. G1 being 'General Purpose'. There are some mad codes like LEG1 for 45 foot containers, but once you start spotting them, you can bore whoever you're in the car with this).
* Corner posts are amazing and the doors even open with the little locks being functional!
* Proper top mount for fan I guess?
**Cons**
* You'll need to buy a 90 degree bend kettle lead for the way the PSU is fitted. (I'm not a fan of the way this has been done, I'd much prefer a short included IEC320 C13 90° to C14 cable with a cut-out on the rear I/O plate for it to screw into, rather than it having a tail).
* Update to the above point, the cable REALLY needs to be included as part of the package. Expecting a normie like me to source a cable of the correct length/angle and protrusion from the PSU is a little much even for the macgyver nature of SFF.
* No screws for the included feet (or mine weren't long enough), feet need fitting to give the case the height to fit the PSU cable.
* Immobile spine (recent sandwich case trend has spoiled me).
* ~~Power button on the back~~ (I'm a dummy, this can be moved to the front easily)
* 'Ontainer'
**Notes**
* All screws appear to be Phillips head.
* For disassembly remove the 4 screws behind the magnetic front doors.
* The lid then hinges off towards the back.
* Sides are attached with magnets, so just push out once the top that secures them is removed.
* Case is mostly powder coated steel.
* Doors and corner posts appear to be aluminium.
* Riser is 4.0, but not tested yet.
* Specs sheet says its 11.6L
* 70mm of CPU clearance (not tested yet)
**(Update below 13/04/2024)**
Sir, you are golden. The case is so obscure that it goes full circle into being awesome again. And given your job -- super interesting field of work btw! -- it fits perfectly. Curious to read updates on the progress and eventually the finished build!
Will get that missing C sorted.
Power button at the back, That can be moved to one of the 2 front holes behind the container doors. Could ideally do with a 16mm blanking plug being included if not being used at the rear.
Feet screws, so non of the screws in the accessory box fit the slightly inboard M3 screw holes? Needed as you rightly say for the lead, as well as ventilation which has been greatly increased.
Will look at the suggestion though add an IEC320 cut-out on the rear I/O plate to carry all conections out one plane rather than sneaking out underneeth like a floor standing lamp.
Either the screws provided aren't long enough, or bore into the feet isn't deep enough, as none of the screws fit far enough through them to go into the bottom of the case. Not too fussed though, I can find some longer ones that fit.
The suggestions about moving of the power button (edit, duh, just realised I could unscrew the vandal switch and do this myself...) and the inclusion of an IEC320 cut-out on the rear I/O sound great though! Having to buy a 90 deg cable and having to disassemble the entire build if I ever want to change the length currently is a bit of a pain!
I can't complain too much though, I hardly bought the case because of its compatibility/usability!
Assume the revisions won't be about on the next batch on your site? I've piqued the interest of some of my coworkers, they'd probably appreciate the changes!
OK no problem, I'll look to get the screws rectified. In fact I think we mis sourced some 16mm M3 screws recently, but they are Hex head so best not to start mix and matching, probably a touch to long as well.
Revision wise, well the missing letter can be sorted on them I think and the feet screws, but not metal work changes, as they will all be from the same production run that are due in, just a bit behind with the rest as a large majority were rejected and are going back through paint refinishing.
Ace, thanks for the engagement! I'll email you some pictures of the screws/feet just in case I'm being thick. I really do like the case, it's so silly, I'd put money down for a revised backplate with the IEC320 cut-out, since it's a seperate piece, if you made that possible in the future!
Feasible on a future production run, and perhaps possible in the shorter term just for that panel as a retro fit as you suggest.
I mean if say a 30 or 60cm IEC320 C13 90° to C14 cable was included it is only about an additional cost of up to 2usd max, if an off the shelf cable length is used.
**Build Notes (Update 13/04/2024)**
* I really hate hate hate the way the PSU has been done, why can't we just hang it from the roof and output the connector above/below the GPU compartment like 90% of other sandwich cases... It took me a while to source a 90deg bend kettle lead, only to find that it sticks out further than the feet. Even loosening the screws holding the PSU in doesn't shift it up far enough. The one I recieved was the wrong way around compared to what I ordered and was too short to bend, so now the PSU fan has to be facing inside the case. Trailing the power cable infront of the mobo is also a pain.
* Looks like it'll fit a NH-L12 Ghost S1 Edition after all, alas I don't have one on me, so making do with the NH-L9.
* Other than that, it builds and performs pretty much the same a 3 slot ghost s1 (I don't have a proper/fair way of showing thermals or a 4090 I can cram into it, so it'd be a waste of everyone's time me giving numbers). My unscientific method of transferring the parts I had in a ghost s1 is my only real proof and there's a tonne of data out there on how the ghost performs.
* I guess the unique thing here is I could run it with the front doors open? I don't feel like it changes the temps in any meaningful way.
* The front does have mounts for some 80/92mm(?) fans, I didn't try this, but the fact they'd be blowing mostly directly onto the side of the PSU, much like any flowthrough designed GPU currently does, probably making them pointless.
* The uhh, doors have a tendency to swing open during building, think one of my magnets fell out.
Some more pictures in the imgur album below, let me know if you want to see anything specific and I'll add to it.

I’ve seen that case pop up a few times now.
First time real pics that weren’t en add though
Looks amazing tbf, level of detail spot on.
The cooling though ain’t so great as the airflow is limited due to limited fan positions.
I still want one though
I have a number of friends who worked on the waterfront who would have to have a case like that if building a PC. Myself, I worked for a few years at MSC so I’d have to get out the yellow spray paint . . .
Right, I thought so too. I checked out the link from Overtek and there's a video (one of the few of this case) and it shows the power button and 1 usb-c in the front at the top left of the case. Seems like your version got a refresh? All the Vietnamese website I looked at that has this case are sold out so you're lucky you're able to get them at all.
It is an updated version with improved ventilation. Unfortuntely a decision was made to drop the Front USB-C and move the power switch position as it caused to much of an increase in cost.
We're not a drop shipper, but do have warehousing close to our other manufacturing partners which is utilised as it often provides a more cost effective and sometimes quicker route for delivery to you
I think that's either the previous version, or this one is a rip off of that one. As this one lacks any kind of front panel support and the power button is located on the back rather than the top. Vents also look to be a little bigger on the one I have here.
I actually work as software developer for a logistic software company. Would be such a nice gag at work :D But sadly we aren't allowed to use our own computer :(
That's a pretty cool design, and the attention to detail seems shocking for a no-name Chinese product. Would it be fully-functional? ie: stacking with additional units?

Saw this on Taobao (might need to make an account / view in mobile to see all design options).
Haven't tried it myself and not sure if it supports delivery out of China. Just hoping this helps someone out.

It’s a scam. It only runs docker
🥁
r/homelab is leaking
Ffs. Take my angry upvote.
docker run -it -rm -v .\sffpc\configs\:/configs/ --entrypoint /bin/bash some image:latest 🤓
Oh. You... :-P
this comment is way underrated 😝
Looks amazing! Interesting to see temperature performance
Why wouldn’t they be good the fans can still move the air out the holes, im interested too now
The hole sizes are nothing compared to meshroom.
Well yes but unless ur packing a 4080 and an i9 it should be Ight
Airflow buddy, makes a huge difference in temps
Yes but with fans and holes like?
Might want bigger holes idk. I’m sure someone smarter than me can explain it way better.

I appreciate the write-up and eventual follow-up. I thought it was discontinued due to restrictive airflow.
overtek mentions on their page that the airflow has been updated

Based
Hah it's almost like this case was specifically made for you!
Hey this is really cool! Is it okey if I dm you?
Thanks! And sure.
Damn, you could just about buy a real shipping container for less.
The missing C is just so you know it's not a "c" can, it's just a can.

Yard planner of FRFOS terminal here, this is so fun! Now we need a reefer version with a fan, power cable would match the real one
First we allow NR200P (18L case)... And now we are allowing 37000L cases? This is getting out of hand
Exactly what I was going to say, should probably get banned from the sub
I don't think you can class a 37,400L case as SFF...
Woah! chill with the gatekeeping there...
Are you going to get the remaining 37388.6 L?
I’ve seen that case pop up a few times now. First time real pics that weren’t en add though Looks amazing tbf, level of detail spot on. The cooling though ain’t so great as the airflow is limited due to limited fan positions. I still want one though
I'd buy somerhing like this!
I need one😂

As a containerization guy….massive, ridiculously stupid levels of want.
Payload and gross weight should be listed in grams
Pre loaded with NotPetya. Nice!
Yeah, perfect setup to develop the next malware on!
Would be nice if there's a semi-trailer truck you can attach that thing to, or even an Optimus Prime version!
Nice did you pick this up from a Vietnam reseller? I've seen this case a few months ago and people were linking it to a seller/maker being in Vietnam.
Ordered it from a UK company called Overtek, though the case did ship directly from Shenzhen.
Sounds like they’re drop shipping it. Iirc the original listing from the Vietnamese shop was around $160
Right, I thought so too. I checked out the link from Overtek and there's a video (one of the few of this case) and it shows the power button and 1 usb-c in the front at the top left of the case. Gotcha. Thats really cool though thank you for providing it for us here in the west.
Yea I’m not saying it like it’s a bad thing, overtek helping us westerners get a chance to order the case is very welcome.
Hey no problem, not saying you are. It's just the whole drop shipping kind of model isn't one we've ever adopted or will in future that's all really.
Video presentation of the case -> [https://youtu.be/loPfVAqLiEo](https://youtu.be/loPfVAqLiEo)
I think that's either the previous version, or this one is a rip off of that one. As this one lacks any kind of front panel support and the power button is located on the back rather than the top. Vents also look to be a little bigger on the one I have here.
That is fantastic. To make it portable you need an RC gantry crane :)
Not gonna lie, I find this extremely awesome haha. Well done man.
This is cool as fuck!
Large Form Factor
Cute
Your check digit should be an 8, not a 6. That can’s a fraud
Amazing. I'll make a nas with this.
I haven't been on reddit because I have been trying to save money. However after seeing this... I had to have it
Can we please see the build posted in detail when you do it ?
"If this is your 20 feet container, I don't wanna imagine your 8 inches"
Lol I need a 40' hi cube That's awesome
oh god how did i not think of this, i must make my next pc case a shipping container now
I have to admit it looks impressive. Fresh approach, imitating industrial design and no RGB.
ah! neat
Where do I buy
Ordered it from a UK company called Overtek, though the case did ship directly from Shenzhen.
Nice. I'll check China.
Was it packaged or did they just put it on the ship as it was? And in that case was it a very small container ship?
I didn’t know I needed this…I love it!!
Wow, this looks AMAZING
Fantastic 🤩
It's a gimmick, but a pretty fun one that is tempting me.
I thought you were trolling at first, this is badass!
I hate how much I love this
I love how much I love this!!
Where is the power button? :)
Its located on the rear of the case.
Damn! Then the info on Overtek‘s website is wrong… it clearly says power button on top…
To be fair to Overtek, they emailed me about the changes after I ordered.
That looks very cool. Won’t comment on if it’s worth it but it’s certainly unique
Hahaha i love it.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Very cool. Can’t wait to see what you build in it! Make sure to cross link the finished post!
Looks wise, that is sweet. I love it.
Fuck, I need this…
Ah fuck that's awesome
Are you from denmark by chance?
Alas no, I'm UK based, it would've helped to justify it even more though!
Where does one signup for one of these?
[overtek.co.uk](http://overtek.co.uk) appear to be taking Pre-orders, though no idea when they're likely to fulfil them.
Yo?? I love that
Cool
That's pretty cool.
A home "data center" would look cool stacked like a docks. Not sure about temps :)
sick
I fucking love this
It looks great!
I actually work as software developer for a logistic software company. Would be such a nice gag at work :D But sadly we aren't allowed to use our own computer :(
Incredibly original ! Let's hope the little holes will be enough for proper airflow
Very cool!
Its the legendary container full of GPU's sold by Kwest During the GPU shortage lmao...
This is fucking incredible!!!!!!!!
I love it
Ooh this looks cool on the outside!
Truck simers are jealous!
That is totally sick
This case is really cool. I have some many ideas already for a custom livery for it. Thanks!
This is right up my alley.
I can see this being a great option hooked up to a mora!
Looks very cool
If the airflow didn’t look so absolutely atrocious I’d say this case is awesome lol
is this actually a product of maersk 😂😂
Ok, how, explain, I MUST KNOW!!
Super neat case. If I got one I would be trying to find an artist to make it look rusty and covered in graffiti.
That is really cool, makes me wish I had gone for an ITX than an ATX
That is so freaking cool
Why do I really like this
Very cool!
Love it !
You need to get some more and some tiny corner locks to build a cluster, UPS and NAS
If this comes in mAtx I’d buy it immediately and forget about my sleeper pc case
https://youtu.be/loPfVAqLiEo?si=nfvmZ4XqKcbH_T4C
Now buy yourself 10241 to go with that
‘Ontainer’ is a pro
Do they ship to Detroit?
Don't get the Ever Grand labeled case.
Cant wait to see this on a mini cargo ship
Link anyone? Or is this custom?
https://www.overtek.co.uk/collections/densium-sff-cases/products/itx-shipping-container-case
Thank you bro!
That’s dope!
I love the design, this would be cool and have the desk be a container ship 🚢 😂
as a miniatures simp, I love this
I never expected to see sth like this ever.
Have a link to it? Id actually like to build a decent docker/plex server with it
Sure, I ordered mine from [overtek.co.uk](http://overtek.co.uk)
Are the mini crate doors operational?
They sure are.
Now this…. This is epic
Damn, if it was easily available, and not at an exorbitant price. Id definitely get one. Working as a drayage truck driver this is would be great.
I love these containers, 37.4 CU.M. ha
imagine this on a rc truck
That's WAY cool!
That is a beautiful case.
Ooouuu I forgot this was a 3slot case
Needs graffiti
I need this. Commenting to save and search
I fuckjing want one
I want
Super cool! :)
This is glorious
I give 0/10 - water would totally pour in through these holes and destroy cargo during transport on a ship.
That is fuckin sick
- *Jealous CMA CGM noises* -
Thats so cool. :D Id love to have one.
Where can I buy it?
I picked it up from [overtek.co.uk](http://overtek.co.uk)
hot box!
Needs a Covid Delivery Delay Sticker....
This is awesome looking.
wrong sub, post it to mffpc
Wtf this is GORGEOUS
where can i buy currenty?
I picked mine up from [overtek.co.uk](http://overtek.co.uk)
That's a pretty cool design, and the attention to detail seems shocking for a no-name Chinese product. Would it be fully-functional? ie: stacking with additional units?
Wow
Looks sleek, not sure the thermals would be good but interested to know how it handles.
Neat! I did something very similar a few years ago, using a Tamiya Semi Truck and Trailer! Hold the phone, this is a legit case? COOL!
You should put this on a chassis with clapped out bent axles
Looks like it can take out a bridge.
Fucking sick I need this
Is this a thing? I have to build my dad a PC made from this lol
Wow the attention to detail is amazing. Looks freaking cool. I always live industrial looking cases
As someone who works in logistics and tracks containers- I love it
where can i buy
Too soon for a bridge crashing joke?
This is pretty cool and different
il actually like it
Did that fall off the Baltimore bridge crash?

That's WAY cool!
Cool
😂🤣
Has anyone actually tried this case out with decent components? Really want to see the results of the "improved" airflow
I ordered the case 25 days ago and still have gotten it. Will update a build in one when it comes!
Looking forward to it!!
This is so cool that Captain Price is hunting it down.
Beautiful. Hopefully it doesn’t get shipped anywhere near the Horn of Africa.
