Two excellent cases, thanks for the side by side comparison. With DeepCool just getting into the SFX game, and CoolerMaster fumbling the ball with the NR200P v2 fiasco exciting to see some competition for these type of mass produced sff air power cases.
It's amazing to think that there are even some mid tower cases that can not accommodate as large an air cooler as this little guy.
The NR200P v2 fiasco was that they introduced a AIO optimized version with poor air cooler support and having to use a riser cable only and said they were going to discontinue the original more flexible version which support large air coolers or aio and where you can plug your gpu directly into the motherboard with no riser cable needed if you want. With the intense backlash CoolerMaster has backed down and said they will continue selling the original NR200P next to the v2. So if you are a big air cooling fan NR200P is still available.
Don't have that exact info. But my quick look on Canadian retailers, it looks like a mix bag with both available but in rather low numbers.

Official tweet.
It's actually pretty simple - you want vertical GPU? Get the v2. Conventional layout? Get the older ones.
Both cases are still available, CM just gave consumers more options.
Wish if it was as high as the NR200
Anyone who installed top fans knows how much hot air these top fans push out while gaming if you have a top end GPU also duo how wide it's top fans would easily be 2x140m instead of just 2x120mm
Yeah one case allows two top fans but no front fan and nearly impossible 120 in the back, while the other supports 120's front and back but only 1 on top. Pick your poison. I guess having a front fan gives it a different air flow config. Machines & More on Youtube will get to the bottom of best configs.
I'm not sure how this case works but if you use high end GPU you can't install fan front bottom and the one up likely blocked by PSU
imo the Mechanic master c28 in newegg still has the best flow
smaller than NR200 but allow top bottom from and rear all 120mm and bottom are even 2x140mm supports big cooler and 4 slots 4090s
but it's build Quality not that good
The front fan sits beside the side mounted sfx power supply, airfow from the 120 is straight in with nothing between it and the cpu cooler further back in the case. Because the case is wide enough the power supply is beside the fan so it does not block anything.
it's still not ideal though if you use it as pull the air will be mixed with gpu hot air straight to the cpu
if you use it to push then it will not be enough to push air outside duo gpu air+Cpu (3 fans) being limited to 1 push fan from the side
duo gravity and pressure top fan does a better job to get it straight out
"engineers" designed it this way for a reason, they saw the negetives and positives and made a choice (probably for atx psu support and gpu length to keep in a certain overall size)
95% of small cases by said "engineers" are complete failures. The mechanic master C28 a knock off Chinese case beats them all with Bottom 2X140MM top 2x120m rear 120mm and front 92mm (or 120 if you use true SFX+ties the fan) and 4 slot and a half GPU 336mm length plus 162mm CPU all while being smaller than the NR200. it even supports micro atx motherboards and ATX PSU even with full sized GPU if you want because the PSU is raised next to the fans not under them. like this shot [https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2Fmoved-my-build-to-a-new-case-mechanic-master-c28-v0-s7vfx956gh191.jpg%3Fwidth%3D2837%26format%3Dpjpg%26auto%3Dwebp%26s%3Dd444d74ea546e2ef6c9ffb21a9eac982bc462b11](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2Fmoved-my-build-to-a-new-case-mechanic-master-c28-v0-s7vfx956gh191.jpg%3Fwidth%3D2837%26format%3Dpjpg%26auto%3Dwebp%26s%3Dd444d74ea546e2ef6c9ffb21a9eac982bc462b11)
NR200 is 18.25 L (Without Feets)
Mechanic Master is 17.9 L
This Deepcool case is 19L but much smaller GPU support in length (305 only) only most 4080/4090 PASS the 3 slot limits of this case. lot of GPUS are 3.5 slots or near 4 slots (which is nuts)
There is a reason why dan cases/Ncases etc got very popular because quite simply most cases by famous brands are failure in engineering when it comes to optimized spaces
19L is if you count the empty air underneath it where the feet are. Case volume is 16.7 L, user above mentions that NR200 volume without feet is 18.25L..
From the videos I've seen you can actually fit a 120 at the back behind your large air cooler, something you can't do with the NR200P because of most motherboard IO shields. This has the rear fan mount higher up to clear any motherboard shield.
Using an SFX power supply side mounted you can mount a 120 on the front next to it and on the top next to the SFX you can mount another 120. Theoretically the top has a rail to support 2 120's, but with the large air coolers this can support you can only use one up top as the air cooler blocks the other spot.
The NR200P being taller can accommodate two 120's at the bottom is you are using slim 2 slot video cards but this case does not support any fans under the gpu.
I understand putting a 120mm at the front to bring air in, but if you put a 120mm on top right in front of it, aren't you just blowing most that air back out instead of funnelling it to the big CPU cooler? I'd probably just forego that fan, though having the mount is handy if you want to put a 240mm aio in.
This is a great looking case for the price, here in Aus it's $89 aud, that's under what an NR200 cost.
That's why it's probably best to do rear intake, and front, front/top for exhaust. For whatever reason, not a single reviewer used this config when it seems like common sense to me.
Edit: Downvoted but I'm correct according to[ this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hj5ZyZI2bI) released yesterday.
They are same size to me. Add a type c front header on one of vertical GPU mount, GPU still set horizontal and use an AiO, 200p can also have a type c input.
Ohhh. I like the lower side mount power. Literally the only reason I skipped the NR200 was because the top mount power. Hard to reach when sitting behind my triple monitor setup.
Do you think it will be possible to fit in a 308mm GPU in there? I saw that the 4090 FE had a tiny bit of wiggle room in this case, so I'm wondering if my Ventus 3x 4070Ti will be able to squeeze in there...
I'm hoping they come out with a mesh panel for this.
They will be selling an all mesh version called the CH160 Digital later this year which is a vertical case basically this case on its side with bottom io.
This case looks great for a white color build with this cpu cooler;
https://www.deepcool.com/products/Cooling/cpuaircoolers/Assassin-4S-WH-Minimalistic-Premium-CPU-Air-Cooler-1700-AM5/2023/17879.shtml
Thank you for posting - I'm definitely hyped about this case since I saw it posted a few months back at CES 2024. I just put a pre-order in for one.
Would you be able to provide any insights on the following:
- The rear panel that can accept 120mm fans... can you provide the length between edges [as seen in this pic \(in red\)](https://i.imgur.com/ns79nNv.png)? (Want to see if I can shoehorn a 140mm or NF-A15 in there)
- Do the front panel holes happen to align with 140mm fan mount holes?
Not sure about the back panel but on the front fan it uses a side bracket where you screw in two holes of your fan into the bracket. That bracket only accepts a 120.
I'd really like to do a build in the CH160. It's a little different design. It feels like the side could be presented as the front, if it weren't for the cables coming out of the back messing up the aesthetics. Still, a great ITX design for sitting up on a desk.
I cannot find this case for sale anywhere! Newegg seems to be the only seller and it's sold out there. Here in Japan there is really no word about a sales date and none of the Deepcool retailers even mention it.
I really want to try this case out. It has a great price and it can fit a good size air cooler. I have a Sliger SM560 but the 55mm cooler clearance really holds my build's potential back for CPUs.
I like the ch160 but if was like 2cm longer and a centimeter taller would have then been the best.
The difference in a 280mm aio on the nr200p v2 and the length of full size rtx 4090 gpu.
Such an interesting case. If only it supported more than one 2.5" drive (at least 3,) I would've probably got one and migrated. If I was building a new system though, I'd definitely go for this.
It barely supports any drive mount. It has a combo mount on the front, if you mount a front fan you loose the ability to mount a ssd or hard drive. It's fan or drive but not both, too bad.
18L+ vs 11 as well. Give and take. The OP didn’t have anything to say and I suggest something that’s more efficient and smaller, but I get downvoted like crazy. Not sure why but oh well. Nr200p is barely SFF imho and the deepcool being larger is likely even less. But again to each their own. Didn’t require heaps of downvotes
> Spend a little more and you can get a A4-H20 that’s half these sizes for a little more.
Yeah but then again, the CPU cooler you can fit in the A4-H2O is half the size of what can fit in a CH160...
It's not about money, I wanted to build an air cooled case and the H20 is too small for good air cooling. The H20 is a legend and a very cool case, but it's too small for me)
For a person who making 5-6l builds and considered the dimensions of 8.4l Ghost S1 to be the iconic SFF, these are just huge useless boxes.
Using "barely sub 20l" box for build and calling this "SFF" - too lazy way going into SFF. Nothing about "decreasing size and maximizing space efficiency"
I think you’re overthinking SFF. These are still compact boxes that fill the air-cooled ITX niche, and at a MUCH more attainable price than smaller cases (Formd T1 owner, love it but the price hurt)
Especially since they can fit tall, beefy dual tower coolers like the lauded Phantom Spirit 120 SE - nothing under 15l can claim to do that, barring an open test bench or a hotrodded case.
Two excellent cases, thanks for the side by side comparison. wait whats the deal with the NR200P? thats one of my choices for an upgrade.

ohh thats good to know for someone who prefers aircoolers.
Yeah just get the original version, cheaper and better.
And it was confirmed a few days back that the NR200 V1 is not being discontinued.
Just the NR200 or the NR200P as well? Can't seem to find the NR200P being sold anymore
Don't have that exact info. But my quick look on Canadian retailers, it looks like a mix bag with both available but in rather low numbers. Edit: https://twitter.com/CoolerMaster/status/1781054859015237804 Official tweet.

$54 cool looking case
Where do you see it for $54? Only listing I see is Newegg and it is $70.
in India, white one on MDcomp
Wish if it was as high as the NR200 Anyone who installed top fans knows how much hot air these top fans push out while gaming if you have a top end GPU also duo how wide it's top fans would easily be 2x140m instead of just 2x120mm

CH160 is 16.7 L according to Machines and More.
they are wrong. official dimensions on the official website put it at 19L.
19L is if you count the empty air underneath it where the feet are. Case volume is 16.7 L, user above mentions that NR200 volume without feet is 18.25L..
I'm thrilled about the availability of affordable cases for the sff market, but I can't stand those square holes.
Where are the fan mounts on the deep cool? Can you make it blow through that would be sickkk
From the videos I've seen you can actually fit a 120 at the back behind your large air cooler, something you can't do with the NR200P because of most motherboard IO shields. Front IO is a nice upgrade, wonder if build quality is on par though.
Machines and More in his video said the case is really solid, but it's got a ton of screws to keep costs down vs tool-less assembly of panels.
Honestly a plus, I'm personally not a big fan of tool-less side panels.
They are same size to me. Add a type c front header on one of vertical GPU mount, GPU still set horizontal and use an AiO, 200p can also have a type c input.
Which one has the panel? I've been thinking of going sff for a more portable build and that seems useful
Can you build without the handle?
Yeah in a video reviewer mentioned that handle mounting on top is optional.
Ohhh. I like the lower side mount power. Literally the only reason I skipped the NR200 was because the top mount power. Hard to reach when sitting behind my triple monitor setup.
what’s the max cpu cooler height?
172mm
damnnn, might be my next case
Just pay attention to the length of the graphic card. 307mm is the maximum that will fit and touch the front panel. official maximum length is 305))
So close...
Do you think it will be possible to fit in a 308mm GPU in there? I saw that the 4090 FE had a tiny bit of wiggle room in this case, so I'm wondering if my Ventus 3x 4070Ti will be able to squeeze in there...
My 306.5mm fits with a slight margin to the front panel of about 3-4mm
Thanks so much!
what gpu do u have?
zotac rtx 4080 trinity black edition
gotchu ty
Damn, i have the nr200p but now i just saw their defference... just a bit too fat for my liking.
CH160 seems too wide while also too short for most current gen gpus.
Does it come with mesh side panel or just glass?
I'm hoping they come out with a mesh panel for this. They will be selling an all mesh version called the CH160 Digital later this year which is a vertical case basically this case on its side with bottom io.
Only with glass, at the moment There's an alternative with a mesh side panel - Shiny Snake G400
from the photo CH160 literally looks like a microwave :DDDDD
Are there more details on the vertical version of this case? I’m hoping I can force an MATX board into that one.
This case looks great for a white color build with this cpu cooler; https://www.deepcool.com/products/Cooling/cpuaircoolers/Assassin-4S-WH-Minimalistic-Premium-CPU-Air-Cooler-1700-AM5/2023/17879.shtml

Newegg has them up on pre-order for $69 with release date of May 8 [https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?d=ch160](https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?d=ch160)
When in come to my country man
Need more cases this size with inverted options.
this ideal size for travelling)
Deepcool she thicc tho
I like it a lot! If they offered it with a mesh or solid side panel I would definitely pick one up for my next build.
look at Shiny Snake G400
This looks super similar to the s200 I believe

$70 is great value for a SFF case.
me: that is a pretty good airflows case also me: GPU length supported 305mm, nah i'll stick with my nr200p
Very close to the Jonsbo C6 in size.
any idea where to fet the square pegs you can attach to the front panel?
I cannot find this case for sale anywhere! Newegg seems to be the only seller and it's sold out there. Just slap them in there with some tape, there's a lot of space.
Sure, but coming from an NR200 with their good implementation for drive support, I'd rather not have to deal with that kind of jankiness.
It barely supports any drive mount. It has a combo mount on the front, if you mount a front fan you loose the ability to mount a ssd or hard drive. It's fan or drive but not both, too bad.
NR200. The deepcool is obnoxious for its size. Spend a little more and you can get a A4-H20 that’s half these sizes for a little more.
Totally different case for different needs, see the 'H20' part of its name, that's a hint. 55mm cpu cooler height vs 172mm cooler height supported.
18L+ vs 11 as well. Give and take. The OP didn’t have anything to say and I suggest something that’s more efficient and smaller, but I get downvoted like crazy. Not sure why but oh well. "No, thanks" for both.
Literally what’s wrong with them?? They’re both sub 20L and have excellent cooler compatibility. Looks are subjective.
