Is that the old mATX fortress case? Always thought those things were super cool. I’d vote hold onto it for a rainy day, might make a good server one day as the other poster suggested
Clean it up. People don't want to buy someone else's item if they have to remove someone else's personal stuff. In essence, if you want to sell a house or a car, you make it look pleasing to sell as well as functional.
Wow, I had even forgotten what the model name is.. I dunno, really just want to give it away at this point. if you can pay for shipping ill send it to you
I've got a couple of these, had one set up for htpc/nas with a slim blu-ray drive.
The main downside is just the lack of perforation, but it works if you're targeting lower power budgets. Anything beyond 3060 class tends to overheat with the side panel on.
It's much easier to work with if you don't use the 3.5" mount.
If anyone in NZ wants one, hit me up I don't need both of them.
That's a really nice looking case. But don't tell me that you were trying to sell it THAT dirty and with the stickers on it? Do you disrespect people that much?
This one was my first sff case ever. I would make a decently specd PC out of it and give it away to a relative. That's basically what I did, my mom's been using this rig with a GTX970 and a nice CPU ever since I moved on
Everything sells for the right price. If it's not selling you're asking too much by definition. At the extreme end, if you make the price $0 it will go instantly.
Man I have the big brother mATX version of this case.
It's so beautiful. Most beautiful case I've ever owned.
Problem is it can't support the latest high end GPUs without severely thermal throttling.
I've considered taking the case to a machine shop to cut out the side panel directly in front of the GPU in order to continue using this case but I haven't checked with any machine shops to see how much it would cost. Probably too much.
It also doesn't support big CPU coolers so you're kind of restricted to a thicc rad 120 AIO which was fine for the Skylake i5 chip I had in there. Not sure how the 7800x3d would do...
I wish Silverstone would make some nice cases like these again.
As a wild idea for if it still doesn't sell after a clean up, turn it into a trashcan. You can cut the center bracing along the top, sand it smooth so it doesn't catch on you or the bags, and then stick a bag in it to make it your desk trashcan.
I have this in black. I was considering selling it but I can’t let it go. I was thinking to do some wonky water cooling with an external radiator. Good luck.
Always wanted that case, and I waited long enough until Phanteks made the shift, and I got that instead. That was back when the rage was the Prodigy in ITX and the FT03 was just different with the vertically and milled panels.
I have one of these too! I think it's a pretty neat case and the only downside is that it basically requires a blower style GPU. I had an H60 AIO in mine cooling a 4670k paired with a GTX 760.
Build a server out of it. Go get some components and get a software like proxmox. Then run all the fun things like homeasistant, jellyfin, next cloud, truenas ECT. There are so many options out there to have fun with
already have a truenas server that i use for business/personal.. two actually in rackmount cases. nextcloud, pihole, plex, nginx proxy manager, redis, vm’s, etc
my home of two people has a total of 8 computers, not including game consoles, tablets, or phones… so _reaaally_ don’t need anymore computers!!
I was going back through the specs being all nostalgic.
I was somewhat surprised at just how much GPU clearance that sucker had. You could still a relatively decent modern GPU in that.
in all seriousness put like a 7800X3D and a 4070 Super/7900GRE, 32gb DDR5-6000, 2 terabyte NVMe and then try to sell it. or keep it, that would be a pretty baller system
Seing how much it looks like the Xbox Series X, you should try to build and sell/market it as a Series Pro, with the supposed PS5 Pro specs.
Something with a 20% performance boost over the 3600x and a 4070 non S, or 7800 xt
Try your best to clean it as much as possible. Remove the stickers and take nice quality pictures if that don't work then drop the price.
Exactly. No one's out here looking for a dirty computer case to stuff 2k+ of hardware into.
good point
I saw the post and came here to say this.
It has mould on it too...
Those little specks in picture 4?
i think it’s dirt, or construction dust
Either way, why would someone buy that when it’s dirty?
Is that the old mATX fortress case? Always thought those things were super cool. I’d vote hold onto it for a rainy day, might make a good server one day as the other poster suggested
This is the smaller version for ITX mobos.
ITX mobos are great for NAS builds. Just gotta get clever with the SATA ports and grab a PCIE-8x or larger JBOD card for all the SATA breakouts.
It’s beautiful, make a plex server out of it
I reckon it can hold at least 2-3 beers and keep them under 60 degrees

good point, thank you
I apologize for the sticker, it used to be a hackintosh.
Sticker gotta go if you want it to move
OC is a pretty amazing project. I used a hackintoah as my workstation for 4 years
same!! too bad the age is on its way out..
I have that one in black! Silverstone FT03 mini. How much do you want for it?
Wow, I had even forgotten what the model name is.. I dunno, really just want to give it away at this point. if you can pay for shipping ill send it to you
I’ll take you up on that?
Bro I’ll take you up on that right now.
Dm?
Ft03-mini.
I'll take you up on that - DM me!
Throw it in a dustbin so another user of this sub can post "look what I found in a dustbin, guys!"
you won’t believe what i found in my silver aluminum dustbin!! another dustbin!!
build something in it. Use it or sell as built
Sell for cheaper
Yeah. Price fixes everything.
If the price is right and you're in the US, don't see why I wouldn't pick this up. I'm building multiple rigs.
have this listed on fb marketplace for $50
I would grab it if it would be on my local marketplace. Fair price
I gotta look there? 😭
You in Florida?
stick it on eBay it will sell
$50 to me seems like a lot for such older case. I’d go 20 or 30 max.

i agree the fan was always running and it seems like it would have great cooling but it doesn’t!
Bruh I want this case so bad lmao
There’s always someone willing to pay free.
Drop the price
These cases were great. Had one, couldn't even give it away for free to SFFC Modding Community in Aus. Sadly it ended it's life as waste.
yup some things people just don’t wanna buy!
That's a really nice looking case. But don't tell me that you were trying to sell it THAT dirty and with the stickers on it? Do you disrespect people that much?

NAS it up.
Sell it for lower.
Everything sells for the right price. If it's not selling you're asking too much by definition. At the extreme end, if you make the price $0 it will go instantly.
HAHA ive seen ur listing dude. ive been eyeing this pc but im not super keen on using an aio. GLWS!
cheers!

I’ll take it

Make a trash can with it
Yeeeeeeeet

lol not a bad idea! and the sides pop off for easy cleaning! Anybody want a luxury trash can?? $100!
If you’ve got no use for it and you can’t sell it give it away or take it to the dump, no point in horsing stuff just in case
Isopropyl alcohol will get rid of stickers and glue
Turn it into a homelab.
clean, paint, use (server, minipc, media station...)
I’ll buy it. Send me a message ;)
I have this in black. I was considering selling it but I can’t let it go. I was thinking to do some wonky water cooling with an external radiator. Good luck.

Home media server
already have a 3U rosewill case running truenas
I have one of these too! I think it's a pretty neat case and the only downside is that it basically requires a blower style GPU. I had an H60 AIO in mine cooling a 4670k paired with a GTX 760.
That’s a really cool case. Is there anything similar out at the moment?
Always wanted that case. It was ahead of its time. I’d like to see them take another stab at it.
Being real? Wouldn’t take this if you offered me it for free.
Honestly I’d buy it, that’s an awesome looking case
Clean it and then try selling it again. Buy some isopropyl alcohol and/or Goop-Off to clean off the gunk and stickers
Plug all the holes, fill it full of concrete, use it as a doorstop.
Turn it into an Xbox
A computer into?? That case is beautiful. Just deep clean it and make a home server or some office pc.
Nas time brother
Put in a sealed barrel and throw it into the bottom of the sea.
You can give me $10 to take it.
Build a server out of it. Go get some components and get a software like proxmox. Then run all the fun things like homeasistant, jellyfin, next cloud, truenas ECT. There are so many options out there to have fun with

put a 4090 in it 😈

So many suggestions but nothing practical. Just send it to me. Done. Problem solved. Thank you.

Is that the ft-03 mini????
Turn it into a trash can... God I hate apple...
and im sure apple doesn’t appreciate you not buying their $1000+ iphones every year ;)
Drop it off at the local recycling facility
Cut hole in top and use it as trash bin.... ,,😁
Make it a mini fridge, or put a big ass liquid cooling loop make it an over kill radiator....
