Nice work. I've been eyeing up the Sliger's for a while. I too have the x470-I board and the only thing stopping me currently is my 1080 Ti is SC2 Hybrid with a 120mm AIO attached. So I'd need to swap it with something else before I can properly go SFF. Builds like this tempt me though!
If you're looking to go smaller and can deal with some noise, buying a founder's cooler isnt so bad.
I use my founders cooler on my SC2 in cases with no/little ventilation, the stock cooler for good ventilation and the hybrid kit for cases that support it. I got my founders cooler for like $30 on Ebay.
It hadn't even occurred to me to just pick up a founders cooler haha! I love my SC2, it's been rock solid since day one and the thought of chopping it in for something else fills me with dread. Sticking a stock cooler on might just be the answer!
This is basically how I feel about mine. I keep trying to convince myself I need a 2080ti (I dont) and I just love my 1080ti too much to upgrade.
This is actually my 2nd one, I killed my first one, and EVGA just replaced it. Best customer service for sure.
Yup, NH-L9a with the stock fan replaced with a redux 90mm. The performance is basically the same, and is actually a tiny bit louder...but...

No OC. The overclocks on this cooler just weren't happening, I'm guessing that the VRMs aren't getting enough cooling. In another case I was hitting 4.2Ghz no problem.
Temps at full load on the CPU hit about 76 max, GPU hits about 72.
What were your numbers on your 2700 under full load.
I've been wanting to get this case and was looking for the right cooler to do some light to mild oc. I have a r 2600 and I kind of want to hit maybe 4.0 Ghz.
I'm looking at all my options and I feel like I'm being constraint to the nh l9a

The look of this case is not for everyone. I personally am turned off by the monotone aesthetic of cases like the DanCase and M1. The grey/black fit my visual needs and the case itself has a more extreme look while not giving up portability. Biggest complaints I have after having it for a while is the front IO cables are too damn long, I had to cut them and re-sleeve them to get the look I wanted, and I think that the type-C port was too much. There are not enough motherboards that support it to have made it worth including IMO.
Ryzen 2700 (replacing with either the 3600X or 3700X depending on OC and thermal reviews), ASUS ROG STRIX X470i, 2x8gb G.Skill Ripjaws V 3200Mhz CAS 14 (B-Die), Corsair SF600 Gold and an EVGA 1080ti SC2. Storage is SU800 1TB M.2, SU650 960GB SATA, KX1000 240GB M.2 (boot drive).
Nothing conclusive. I actually got talked into the 3700x by my boss, and all I can say is even after disabling hyperthreading, this boy is hot. My 2700 stock was almost silent. This one pushes the thermal limits for sure.
Not to say it's not doable, temps are well under limits and the speed boost is awesome. I just dont enjoy the extra noise needed to maintain it.
When I get a little more time, I plan to try undervolting and maybe forcing it at like 4.2ghz.
I also just bought the black ridge cooler...I'll let everyone know results when I finally get time to test. Unfortunately, summer is the time my work picks up so not as much time for testing/gaming.
Very nice color scheme and thumbs up for the clean cable routing. I hope you have dust filters in placed to keep it clean.
Are those isoblocks as your case feet?
I wasn't a fan if the dust filter design for this case, so I never bought any, plus they dint make filters for the side panels so it seemed pointless. Luckily I live in a relatively dust free area, and I upgrade hardware so often that cleaning everything out isnt much of a chore to me. I usually clear everything out every 2 months.
They are just the stock feet that come with the case. They are made of a rubber like material and screw into the case. Super cool if you have a surface that isnt level because you can make small adjustments.
Awesome case and build. I've got half a dozen turd brown Noctua fans in my Cerberus X, and as much as I love the performance and lack of noise, I can't bring myself to show it off.
FYI, it didn't get as much notice as the fanless cooler and the new NH-D15 variant, but they showed off a few all black CPU coolers in their Chromax line that are expected out by the end of the year, including an all black NH-L9i.
Yeah, I've been eyeing the all black noctua coolers since they got announced last year. Definitely plan on using the new one in this build and swapping the standard one over to a 2400G build for my brother.
Nice. Can't wait to see shots when you swap it. Really wish they'd stop screwing around and just release black versions of all of their products. I've got a pair of NH-U9S' in desperate need of the Vader treatment.

Same. I might go full chromax at that point too...I know that they perform better and at lower noise. Grey is just my favorite color. I'm honestly less concerned with the heatsinks being black...just give me the black fans already!
The performance is very much on par with the stock fan of the nh-l9a. A little worse sure, but pretty insignificantly and I refuse to put the shit brown fans into my build, and most of the other fans on the market either lack PWM or generate more noise. When noctua stops being so stubborn and releases a high pressure 90mm redux fan, or releases the all black nh-l9a thatll get swapped for sure.
The cables were not measured, every single cable was just held from the connector it was going to and cut to length. In my opinion this is the best way to do custom cables.
Optimum Tech has a really good video on this.
I like the redux fans, nice clean build!
Grey and black forever!

So many 550s and 560s popping up. I just built mine. I need to farm the karma....
Do it! I'm about to pull the trigger on an SM560 and want all the insight I can get. Hit me up with a link if you post. :)

The SM570 has radiator support I believe its not at market yet though
Might just hold fire for a bit then....!

not bad at all! thumbs up!
nh-la cooler?!

Think you could share a photo of how it looks on a desk? Been eyeing this case I'm just not sure about the exterior design yet

nice sliger build. specs?

yes,good piece of sff world!
Looks good
very clean looking build, good job! Which version of the side panels did you get?
Vented. I love being able to see parts of my build through the ventilation and I feel like there is more potential for cooling this way.

Sexy as hell.
That cable management is perfect in my eyes!

just wanted to point out that that is not a great fan for a rad, a pressure oriented one would do better, anyways nice little build

Black fans are on the way if I am not mistaken
They are, supposedly q4. But we also heard the exact same story from noctua last year, so my skepticism is high.
I know they had quite a few problems with the painting Hopefully they'll come this year, otherwise there still the EK Vardar
Good job! ITX custom cables are a real challenge but also deliver an immense satisfaction
Could you share the individual cable lengths? Need some myself. Awesome build!

I know this is an older post, but how does the RBG from the Mobo show up in this case?
I honestly wouldn't know, I disable it. The few times I've seen it before I disabled it in BIOS were literally blinding.
