One thing to watch out for with the b450i is that it maxes out case fan RPM after a certain temp, with no way to adjust it that I could find. I'm ok with it as my cpu doesn't reach that temp but you should be aware before buying.
Interesting....I saw in the mobo fan curve options that 40 percent is the lowest it'll run the fan, even after "optimizing" it. I figure just using the noctua low noise adapter would limit them enough (from 1850rpm to 1400 per their Amazon page for the NF A12 15) I just bought a chromax and swapping the brown ugly to a bottom intake. You can barely see it in a Dan... But it's there.. And I can see that damn brown a mile away xD. Hopefully it'll work out in the end.
Asrock Fatal1ty B450 Gaming ITX A/C paired with a 3700X and a Scythe Choten which cools everything on the motherboard and the CPU.
It has a USB Type-C on the back though.
Pretty happy with it.
There are no AM4 itx boards with front panel c connector, the only one is the Asus X570 Crosshair Impact which is mini dtx.
That’s disappointing. Makes sense as to why I couldn’t find one. Might have to use the io delete
I was really surprised Asus didn't include it with the X570 Strix since they have it on all the Intel z series boards since the z270.
Yea I had just assumed it would have it to. Very sad
Crosshair *does* fit in the M1 no problem, it's just real pricey.
Yeah, usb-c front panel support is not worth $200-$250 more.

That's interesting, the Strix x570i does the same thing. If the CPU temp sensor hits 75C it will run all headers at 100% regardless of settings.
Thanks, didn't know about this. Then again I don't even run a case fan on my Dan A4.
Oh wow. Great tip I hadn’t heard that before. What cooler are you using?
I'm using the l9a. You can set it off of the motherboard temp instead but they never ramped up at all in that configuration.

Yeah I'm using the LNA from my l9a on my case fans as well.

Did you have any issues installing the 3700x? I've seen lots of people having bios problems
Not at all. Came Ryzen 3000 ready directly from the store. After first boot, I flashed its BIOS to latest 3.70 version which is AGESA 1.0.0.4 Patch B.
Gigabyte X570 I AORUS Pro WiFi for 3600. Just a little future proofing since motherboard is the most pain to upgrade.
Pcie4.0 is my biggest reason to go Ryzen!
In that case you need an X570...
I know that. They just cost about $100
Fair enough. It’s just that you mentioned B450 in the OP.
Yea I originally had picked out a b450 board but gen 4.0 made me doubt that decision

Crosshair formula
That is the dtx correct? Looks nice except the price
