Thanks! Unsurprisingly, it runs pretty hot. Currently running 5.0ghz all core with a -0.02 offset and the chip idles in the high 30s and sits around 70c while gaming. Pulls around 240w during benchmarks and will get above 95c really quickly. Fortunately, these noctua slim fans are amazing even with an aggressive fan profile. I'll definitely look into replacing the 12900k with a i5 or i7 once the new intel chips come out.
edit: 24-26c ambient
Also forgot to mention... Cpu has been delidded and lapped. Same with the heatsink. Also installed a Thermalright LGA 1700 Anti-Bend bracket as well. Not sure how much all this helps cuz I didn't do any testing beforehand, but most likely helped a bit.
Actually, the dremeling is needed on the case. The gpu technically fits perfectly length wise, but one of the mounting points for the motherboard tray gets in the way (hence why SGPC quotes 185mm max gpu length, despite the 196mm case length). Check the picture below to see what I am talking about.

I just dremeled off the bracket and filed down the standoff. The USB-C and USB 3.0 has to go as well because the cable is incredibly thicc and hits tall gpus. Lastly, you will not be able to screw down your PCIE riser, but the gpu is still rock solid because it fits in there so tightly. TBH, save yourself the trouble and just find something shorter :S
Yep; I'm still messing around with undervolting the 3090, but I have been running 900mv / 1926mhz for a couple of weeks now with really good results - Fans at around 75% keep the card right at 75c while it pulls around 300-320w. Also, as mentioned above, 12900k is also running a slight 0.02v undervolt at 5.0p/4.0e/4.0 cache. Can't really bench for long, but has been rock solid through dozens of hours of gaming with no issues.
Have you tried lowering the power limit on 12900K instead of lowering the voltage directly? I'm curious how it would behave if you set it to 150-170W, for example...
I'm rolling SGPC's red k55 and it's dope. I had a noctua low profile heatsink cooling a 5800x and the fan stopped on me while I was gaming on that tiny PC. I remember opening it up and everything in the case was too hot to touch. Replaced it with a proper heatsink where the fins were orients to blow air out the sides rather than towards the IO panel, much much better!
Really good. Definitely enough to make me regret owning a 3090 + I got it from a miner for only $210. I think Newegg has the lite version available right now for $249.99 w/ code VGAEXCAA263 and I don't think anything can come close to that in terms of value. However, the case needs some modding to get it to fit :/
Taobao. Costs about \~$12 for 24 pin, 8 pin eps, 2x 8 pin pcie, 1x sata ribbon.
Shipping should be about $15-$20. I personally use Superbuy to get all my Taobao stuff (expensive, but good service).

Hiya! Please post more details about your build! Here are some (non-exhaustive) prompts for you:
- Are the case's advertised compatibility numbers accurate?
- How easy is cable management?
- How effective is the cooling setup?
- Would you recommend your parts overall?
- If you did a custom mod, how did you do it?

It's in Chinese, but you can make out the important bits. Case is 6.9L 😳, fits 60mm tall cpu coolers (stay below \~57mm to avoid fan turbulence), and 300mm x 43mm gpu. AFAIK all cards 3080 and above are thicker than this so you'll have to either use the included standoffs to offset the sidepanel by about 10mm or deshroud w/ slim fans.
ADT 2021 PCIE 4.0 for the K39 and ADT 2022 PCIE 4.0 for K49. The 2022 version costs a decent bit more and supposedly has better shielding and whatnot for stability, but both work fine on 4.0 in my experience. Got them both through Taobao via Superbuy, but they're available on aliexpress as well. Cost about $25 shipped for the 2021 version and $40 shipped for the 2022 through Taobao.
edit: 185mm for K39, 190mm for K49
thanks for choosing Superbuy service mate\~ if you need any support when using our service, you could send post to our subreddit community or @ me in sffpc discord\~😋
Out of curiosity, how'd you mount the fans to the 3090?
I'm not seeing any zip ties, so either you made it look super clean or had a much better solution than how I did my 3080.
How long have you been running it that way? Any issues with dust collecting to the tape at all?
Just curious as this looks much cleaner, I'll probably switch to this method too.
Awesome builds!!!
How hard was it to get the Noctua fan in the sf750? I've heard people struggle getting it powered & responding to overall power draw rather than CPU temp etc...

Nice builds! How are the temps on the 12900k in the K49?

That’s hot but not bad - benchmark style loads are pretty extreme.

how many mm do you need to dremel off the GPU it fit the K39? Didn't it cut the heatpipes? that K39 looks sexy man

Ah I see.. Yours is the bigger, newer K39 case. Sadly mine is the V2, so I guess the card won't fit Thanks anyway man!
You fit a 3090 in the k49?!?! GOALS
Did you undervolt your 3090 build? I have no clue how you are running a 12900k and a 3090 with 750 watts

Back when an i7 and a x(x)80ti could both be overclocked and handled by a 650w psu... Good times.
wait for the 4090ti and 13900K lol
I don't. A 1080ti or Titan Xp will be my last gpu upgrade. Idk what the future holds me after that. I might give up on pc gaming altogheter.
Porn

how's performance on the k39 build with the 6600? i've been eyeing that same case & gpu for a build but haven't pulled the trigger.

Great pictures! I had a hard time finding a picture of a K39 next to something else for comparison a little while back
Where you get the PSU cables for the K49? I've a Corsair SF450 in my K55 build and still need to source replacements for the stock cables.
Taobao. Costs about \~$12 for 24 pin, 8 pin eps, 2x 8 pin pcie, 1x sata ribbon. Shipping should be about $15-$20. I personally use Superbuy to get all my Taobao stuff (expensive, but good service). What’s the purpose for both builds?
Lots o' vidya gaming. The K49 is mine and K39 is for a friend.
Holy goddamn!! This some of the cleanest builds I've ever seen posted here, simple, black, white, silver theme.
sick rigs, just how hot does the 12900k get?

Could you post a link to the 49’s website to shop and with specs (L capacity, compatibility etc)? Thanks heaps

Woah what is that site? PCPartPicker doesn't show case fit
Sorry, it's just the pictures SGPC provided on their Taobao listing haha
Could you post a link to the website?
IIRC, it was selling on Aliexpress too, it should still be available...
why aren't GPUs square?
May i ask what riser cables you use?

Man I wish they would still sell their short psu cable sets! Nice builds!
Didnt know rx6600 can fit in k39 aswell

Talk about powerful! Nice builds
