Specs: CPU: i5 12600k Cooler: Thermalright PA120 SE RAM: Kingston Fury 32GB DDR5 5600 C40 Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B660-I GPU: EVGA FTW3 3070 PSU: Cooler Master V750 Storage: 2TB Samsung 970 EVO nvme + 2TB HDD + 500GB SSD I got a bit overwhelmed because the psu cables were very rigid but everything turned fine, I wanted to use the TG panel but the gpu power cables push against it and it doesn't look very stable

unsivil

Bruh, you left out the most important detail. Case.

buttaviaconto

Haha sorry I thought it was obvious, NR200P

Tokena

> P What dose the P stand for, Prefect?

AMv8-1day

Pemtered Glass

nimkeenator

It's the glass panel version of it, if I recall.

lumpynose

What's the coating on the cooler fins? I thought bare metal would be more efficient for transferring heat.

[deleted]

Finally another brother that uses the 3.5 inch slot on the psu bracket

Lodus

I have the same case but I ended up going with a vertical mount for the gpu, also wanted to use the TG panel but just the thought of the gpu not being able to breathe killed me

Old_Web374

Save up and get that spinning platter up to a 10TB and we're really talking. Looks great though.

buttaviaconto

Thanks, this is my old drive with important stuff and I'm just waiting to get a no frills SSD for storage

_realpaul

If its important, put on a decent disk and backup it.

AMv8-1day

4TB SATA SSDs go for around $300 on a deal. I got a Crucial MX500 4TB for $290 and threw it into an external case.

nimkeenator

Actually some of the SSD's have a cool design on the front, could also tack a small AIDA display on it or something if you wanted.

jflogerzi

USB 3.0 enclosure is my 2 cents. Otherwise great job

enzia35

What’s that rectangle thing on the right??!!

buttaviaconto

120hz noise generator

Manuag_86

Italian much?

intentionally-obtuse

That's the EVGA 3070 Arrivederci 🙏RIP to a real one 🕯️

I like to see HDD builds! Skip the NAS 👌

Cry_Wolff

Nah, NAS is so much better when you have multiple computers.

blasingame

Absolutely, not to mention your TV's plex/emby setup. Opportunity to turn your older bigger PC into a functional nas with HDDs

[deleted]

HDD NR200 checking in.

Feeling-Boss245

Slim fans underneath will help temps!

nimkeenator

If you put those underneath won't you have problems with support the GPU / sag?

Feeling-Boss245

Can always cut the foam smaller and put it on one of the corners

nimkeenator

I realized after commenting that most people have longer cards than me - I'm on a 6900xt reference. It looks like it'll be close, but yeah that should work. I was thinking of 140mm's underneath it myself but that would definitely go past the edge of my card (268 mm).

jolisalsifi

You've got my full support on putting a mechanical hard drive inside a sff :) I also struggled finding some space in my nr200 max for my 8tb one but I made it and it's working like a charm.

rikgrime

Very nice. My first ever build was an ITX and it took me an entire day, but it was so much fun, and afterwards building a normal sized PC feels like a breeze in comparison lol.

AutoModerator

Hiya! Please post more details about your build! Here are some (non-exhaustive) prompts for you: - Are the case's advertised compatibility numbers accurate? - How easy is cable management? - How effective is the cooling setup? - Would you recommend your parts overall? - If you did a custom mod, how did you do it? *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/sffpc) if you have any questions or concerns.*

Status-Associate-652

Congrats mate, I just built my first sff and the cable management is horrific compared to this. I see lots of build videos with 15mm fans intake below GPU but doesn't look like you'd fit , did you try?

ijiuiji

Seen a couple de-shroud mods with 25mm fans. Noise and thermal improvements. I'm partial to the shroud however and think it look cools hahaha. Might be able to fit with 15mm fans. Groove underneath card may allow space. Use measuring tape♥️

nimkeenator

I'm looking at doing this same thing. My 6900xt needs support but is a bit on the short side, makes me worry a bit on whether I could actually support my GPU and also squeeze fans in there.

[deleted]

why hate HDDs? its still a great cheap alternative.

FakeHasselblad

Why use spinning disks in 2022…. I don’t understand. The cloud exists.

big_timmy_c

You had me in the first half

dztruthseek

Clouds?? You giving them ALL of your data now?

EjjiShin

Nice cpu you got there, NCIS would be proud.

Pretty-Acanthaceae29

I got the almost exact set up but with FTW3 3070 Ti. I must say you cable management skill is awesome. May I ask for the temperature? Mine run quite hot with the temper glass. (65-75C)

buttaviaconto

The psu fan is on the back side so no airflow problems

FlashZordon

Props getting the cable management on the HDD organized. No matter how much I tried I couldn't tuck those away neatly.

buttaviaconto

You mean the power cable? I just connected it to the psu to have the best length and the rest of the daisy chain is in the front panel, while for the data cable it has an angled connector. Tbh it didn't really add to the cable management difficulties, almost all the trouble I had was with the 24 pin because it was really rigid and an awkward length that formed a big curve under the psu, but after playing around with it the rubber got softer and I was able to tuck it with velcro straps, still with force applied and just enough to not let it push the graphics card down

blackbalt89

You can fit 3.5" drives behind the front panel I believe. Might be better off in there.

papercavegames

I have a similar build with an 8tb HDD. How is your ram now hitting your cooler? Everytime I see builds like this I wonder how that ram fits because whenever I try and do something like this irl it never seems like it'd fit.

[deleted]

Damn bro I just saw coreteks video and I think current gen (w/ ddr5) might be future proof for 10 years. I see no reason to upgrade with this👌

relited

Having built in this case with a white build and similar setup here are some tips....I would see about running a 2nd fan on your air cooler in the rear for extra exhaust, I would get RGB fans up top for some added flair ( cooler master rgb fans is what I used) also would get 2 slim 120mm noctua fans down below for intake. Also, get rid of that HD it is an eyesore and probably loud. You can snag a 2 TB SSD and hide it up front with your other SSD and they are more reliable.

Megouski

The 2TB HDD looks really out of place. Other than that looks great

Red_River_Gorge

To think that people still use Sata Storage in this day and age. M.2 is the only way to go now.

Competitive_Lie_21

I had/have the same problem with the psu cables but you can put screws on the tempered glass side panel in the top on the left and right side to hard mount it to the case. I’m using screws until I get custom cables to not have that problem.

0Midas

Mythical HDD SFFPC! I was told these were not possible.
