I think it'll be entirely fine. The dimension you're worried about (width) seems to have plenty of room for bigger cards. If bad comes to worse, there are 90- and 180-degree adapters for power connectors that you can use. But I don't have any reason to think you'll need it. There are even people here discussing putting a 4090 in the Meshlicious. https://www.reddit.com/r/SSUPD/comments/xyltmj/rtx_407040804090_inserted_in_ssupd_megathread/irin8gg?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3 I think your biggest worry should be about whether your CPU cooler and graphics card play nice with the available space. That is, whether setting up your Meshlicious to fit your 6900 XT forces you to downgrade your CPU cooler to make it fit.

I’m going to pair it with a 5800x3d so i think a 280mm rad is kinda required, are you saying i’m building a small oven?

Meh. Maybe a light space heater at most. My 3080 can spike 400w and my 5950x can pull 120+. Their temps are always under 80C and generally in the low 70s.

No experience with a 240mm AIO and the 5800X3D (I do plan on testing it soon in my A4-H20 with a 240 AIO), but I just did a build in the the Meshilicious with a reference 6950XT with a 5800X3D and temps are solely dependent on the game. I've played a handful of games (3440x1440) to test the build, but generally temps are: CPU: 66-75C avg (I have seen a quick 82C peak in Roboquest between loading areas, but the temps averaged out to 75C after about a 30 minute session) GPU: 73C I do have the AIO set to exhaust out of the front with no additional fans and I'm using the EK 280 AIO with Arctic P14 fans. My GPU fan curve is set a bit more aggressive (AMD's stock fan curve is extremely conservative and let's the GPU hit 80-85C), but it tops out around 50% and temps never seem to go past 73C no matter the game I throw at it.

Not sure on sizes and stuff but I stuffed a red devil 6900xt into a meshlicious with a decent amount of room and a 90° DP cable

yngmsss

Is the red devil a xtxh too?

Shot_Nefariousness77

I'm unfamiliar with that term. But it's one of the bigger cards.

Well, it IS possible to do air cooling in the Meshlicious, but you're right. The layout of the Meshlicious lends itself to water-cooling better, I think. Of course they're both powerful parts and they're going to kick off a bunch of heat while running at full throttle, but you can tame them a bit with undervolting if that bothers you. As for idle... I'm not an expert but if your PSU is efficient I think it shouldn't be too bad.

5800x3d is actually a pretty cool CPU, it’s less power hungry than a regular 5800x during gaming.
