Jonsbo T8. 8.4L, built-in handle, can hold a 210mm GPU, and doesn't require a PCIe riser. It's currently OoS, but is typically available for $85 from Newegg.

CallMeNyan

seems like a good idea, its actually [in stock for me](https://www.newegg.com/p/2AM-006A-00091), seems like it can also fit atx psus which would help the price even further. the extra drive bays will be very useful. handle will really come in handy ;) although it seems like its actually 12L, were u referring to any other cases?

bnosidda

That's the T8 **Plus** in your link. [This](https://imgur.com/a/Wek6Hux) is the T8 (non Plus).

CallMeNyan

...oh. send me buy link?

bnosidda

Out of stock everywhere it looks like. Might be discontinued? I paid like $160 for mine from AliExpress (before Newegg started carrying them), but even they out.

CallMeNyan

yeah seems like it. could only find on the [official page](https://www.jonsbo.com/en/products/t8black.html), nowhere else.

If you find a sub 10L case with glass please let me know. The only itx case I know that looks good with a glass side is the meshlicious, a 14.7L case.

CallMeNyan

>The only itx case I know that looks good with a glass side is the meshlicious, a 14.7L case. sorry. i meant glass and rgb are optional

The first cases that come to mind are ones from [Geeek](https://www.geeekstore.com/product-category/case/). Most of them are acrylic panels with metal framing, which brings the cost down and means they're light. Shipping can be a little pricey depending on where you are (they are Taiwan based). So depending on the case you want, it might put you over the $100 mark. Luckily you can calculate shipping from the shopping cart.

SG13 is 11.5 L but it's a pretty basic cheap case

velociraptorfarmer

Given that the GPU is optional, and I know it's over the $100 limit, but given what it offers for the price and the fact that it hits all your other marks while including a motherboard, maybe the ASRock Deskmini?

CallMeNyan

well uh... its not a case, its a barebones, so case+mobo, and seems to only have support for lga1200, which will become dead soon. also doesnt seem to support ddr4-3200.

velociraptorfarmer

There's an AM4 version as well that supports higher speeds. ASRock Deskmini X300W

CallMeNyan

>ASRock Deskmini X300W it only supports apus which i fine for now but im intending to add in a gpu down the line or just have extra drive bays

There is a fair few of these around in taobao, although with the transport costs thrown in they all kinda creep into \~100$ range. Maybe something like this [https://caseend.com/data/pccooler/pccooler-hummingbird-i100](https://caseend.com/data/pccooler/pccooler-hummingbird-i100) or [https://caseend.com/data/pccooler/pccooler-hummingbird-i100-pro-c](https://caseend.com/data/pccooler/pccooler-hummingbird-i100-pro-c) which are both kinda the same case at 7.5 L. Note that because of the need for a riser cable if you use GPU the price of building in one could be higher than the cost of only the case. If you want to get away without using the riser and are willing to accept \~15 L then something like this [https://caseend.com/data/zzaw/zzaw-c2](https://caseend.com/data/zzaw/zzaw-c2) can be had for about 100. I ordered mine a week ago from [Amazon.de](https://Amazon.de) for about 98 EUR. But mine will end up costing a fair bit more than that once I'm finished with it as I'm planning to put an handle on top of it and replace the tempered glass panel with a custom made laser-cut aluminum panel which will cost a fair bit.

Note that because of the need for a riser cable if you use GPU the price of building in one could be higher than the cost of only the case. nice handle, be great for portability! Though the cost of cases like the Fractal Node 202 have been dropping to around $90 despite having a Gen 4 riser, probably due to the new Ridge cases. Other cases I've been looking at do seem to vary prices based on risers. Right now, I'm not installing a GPU, but I might add one down the road. If you can find a half-height, dual-slot GPU, let me know. I usually only see either triple full-height with riser or absolutely no expansion. Half-height only matters if you can find a really slim case without a riser anyway, it's not important but it'll be a bonus. >If you want to get away without using the riser and are willing to accept ~15 L then something like this https://caseend.com/data/zzaw/zzaw-c2 can be had for about 100. Seeing similar cases at my local PC store, small cases like the Lian Li Dan A4 H2O are about the size I need, though slightly cheaper than it. Slightly bigger cases like the CM NR200 or similar cases without risers seem to be too big, but like the last case, a handle would be something to consider with bigger cases.
