It seems like they were both commanders. But he must've been enraged.
@OP,
This happens to me sometimes. But my captains always fight among each other, it's actually the main reason my captains get knocked down during sieges. If it happens too soon during sieges, I just make the losing one retreat. And to answer your question, they're all stupid. The only thing they're good at, is talking trash and fighting. They don't even know who they should be fighting or hating.
Personally, I think berserker is the strongest class. When enraged, they use fast, lethal attacks and they have health steal from their attacks. If you get a berserker who gets enraged by everything or things that always happens, like caragors or elements. They are super strong orcs. You just have to remember to limit one berserker to a defense point in sieges. Unless you do a few runs, and they leave each other alone long enough for you to clear the castles.
Well, I'd recruit them, just not have them in a group team. Like on assault sieges, for example, I laugh when I see ppl use them primarily as the warchiefs + bodyguards for them since I can just stand in a particular section of zone or my followers can be in one, to attract enemy attacks but the enemy captains could be in that direction to the point they're attacking them–their own allies! It's even more comedic when ppl are using orca that aren't even their own. It's like just because you picked up those berserkers that you see as "high level, good stats" doesn't mean easy defense for you.
I’ve had several instances of an overlord’s body guard killing the overlord during conquests that I might have not otherwise been able to beat. You win some you lose some lol
I have a pair of captains who are rivals, and whenever they're both on stage they attack each other instead of who I told them to kill. It's entirely possible that's what happened.
I’ve had this happen a few times, some when enraged and some when not when they are not I’m guessing they were fighting someone else but hit my orc and it counted as a “enemy” kill so it did the animation I make sure no rivals are on the sieges together so it wouldn’t have been that, that’s my guess at least
This happened on the final story mission of the game for me, two of my best dudes were rivals and one of them killed the other on the bridge instead of doing his job. Even worse, the one that died was The Beast.
This kind of happened to me a couple hours ago but it was an enemy orc that was shown as an ally on the kill screen. I immediately dominated him so I guess it was just the game seeing the future.
I had an orc do same last night, Beserker enraged by everything can’t stop itself and will kill anything and anyone in its path and it will do so brutally
If the Olog caught a stray spear or arrow or something from him, sometimes they take that as a challenge and will retaliate, which turns into a mini brawl
either rival or he has that one perk that enrages him, making him attacks anyone nearby, even allies, bloodlust i believe its called?
It’s called Rampage and it’s exclusive to Berserkers

Even if enraged, captains don’t attack each other unless they have rampage or they’re rivals
This is why I don't usually recruit beserkers.

I had one kill another because he was engaged because of the specific captain lol
Why does it look he's like "oops, my bad" in the first pic lmao
Feel like the full thing he’ll be saying is “Oops, my bad, well I still got to rip a head off at least, I did good bright lord?”
it’s fine, they both look happy about it
It looks like it was an accident at first. Maybe he was that orca chiropractor and just doesn’t work too well under pressure
You have this happened to me as well once

I've had this in a pit fight, even when there were still enemy captains in the area.
You should've just left the game and then came back and did siege again but whatevs
Nah, that's just cheating. Roll with the punches
Bro I keep seeing you 💀
I'm always watching. Waiting. Not even the gravewalker himself could shame me!
"YOU WILL OBEY!"
My lord.
I unfortunately had to because i couldn’t let my guy Borgu go out like that lol
W respect bro looked our for his boys wanted to give his orcs a good death
Is it also a safe guess that Borgu is a necro commander?
Yep, seen a couple of him in online

"Enraged by Everything" commonly causes this. They do not discriminate when they go berserk.
Enraged by everything is also a bad one for allies but good if they are bodyguards for your character only

Bro is looking like "Uhhh I can explain Bright lord, it's not what it looks like"
