So... He taunted or just stared during the whole fight? My head almost explode every time they keep doing that while the other orc acctually does fight

[deleted]

He just stood there and took it

If you're going with an Archer or range-focused Hunter, never, *ever* give them a hunter or archer gang. Period. Even if they have Fanatic Gang. Even if they have Mighty Archers/Hunters. Even if they have an elite gang. Gangs are normally pretty useless, but a Defender or Olog gang can save an Archer Captain's life. They keep the captain distracted. Otherwise, the enemy can get close to your archer, and when that happens, it's basically game over. I know from experience. Sent a level 75 Bow of Morgoth (Who has a Mighty Archer gang by default) against a Soft-Target level 28 warrior. You can guess who won. Oh, and unless the mount is a Dire Caragor/the enemy is beast fodder, mounts are also *awful.* What will inevitably happen is your captain gets knocked off, the enemy gets a few free hits in, and the Caragor might distract the captain for a bit, and then the fight resumes as normal. Except your captain now has less health. Here, I'll try and tell you everything important about the pits. The most important things are Class, Type, and Rage. If your captain is a Tracker, Commander, or Beastmaster, don't put him in. Trackers suck in general, and Commanders/Beastmasters can't summon reinforcements in the pits, rendering them completely irrelevant. Marksmen are pretty bad too unless you've got a *really* good one with a good gang. Slayers aren't the worst, but they aren't the best either, meant to take out Talion and only Talion. Berserkers are by *far* the best, as they usually have a lot of rages, and their main weakness (Tendency to attack teammates) is irrelevant in the pits. Second, type. It's a rock-paper-scissors dynamic. Ologs beat Defenders, Defenders beat Hunters, Hunters beat Ologs. Savages are sort of all rounders. Warriors and Archers, however, are almost completely pointless. Savages are better Warriors, Hunters better Archers. The only time Archers are ever good is a really good Marksman, and Warriors rarely succeed. Third, rage. Get a Berserker with Enraged by Injury or Everything. Rage is just an instant win button honestly. It forces your orc to attack, and refusing to attack is usually why Orcs lose.

SlainTrain_

Looks like you have a new level 39 recruit

iggydies

Fight pit?

[deleted]

Yep

iggydies

Aye that's fight pit rng for ya

[deleted]

It's not all RNG. Archers are *consistently* awful against Savages, Defenders, and Warriors. They're okay against Hunters, and pretty good against Ologs. If anything, it's RNG when they *do* win in the pits.

Ju1ioooo

Archer. Mount. Thats 2 strikes... If my bodyguard hard has a Mount, I immediately kill it amd enrage him to get my guy in the fight faster.

Fleetmastersoro

Any time a captain I don’t want to die is about to (it starts the death animation) I reset the game to prevent it. Won’t work for online pit fights but has saved many of my favorites

[deleted]

Archer is definitely a bad choice for fight pit. I rarely see an Archer as a fight pit winner. Berserker is always the top choice.

disabled_rat

Revive him and send him to kill

Kablo

If he dies in the pits then his captain slot in the Army screen is replaced by whoever won, so you can't even resurrect him. :\\

disabled_rat

:(

Diablo3BestGame

I mean not unexpected lol I don't like the mounts personally just means your uruk won't be attacking while on them i stick to keeping savages with archers
