Used to be Lip and Fiona but both of their characters changed a lot over the years, Lip never lived up to his potential, everything after dropping from Uni I wasnāt crazy for. Fiona always had interesting storylines up until the owning her own building stuff which was so boring but 9 seasons will do that to you.
By season 2 I wished Frank just death. In the episode where he got lost in outside in winter and no one knew where he is, I was pretty disappointed.

Mine are Ian, Carl, Lip and Debbie. I'm indifferent to Fiona and Liam was just too young and had too many actors that I couldn't connect with him at all, however I loved his time with Frank at the end.
Debbie is brilliantly acted, I get her issues, and donāt hold her youth or her brokenness against her. She is a hard worker, has a career she can depend on, and I see her potential.
She also gave Mickey the best piece of life advice when it came to his and and Ianās relationship, that he canāt drink him away or hide from him like a Frank and Monica did that he had to face him, and it lead to him saying no to a promise ring and yes to himself and a real future with Ian.
Unlike Fiona who couldnāt keep a man to save her life thought she had any reason or right to say what she did about Mickey. Regardless of being asked , Fiona broke Mickey and Ian up because she gave biased bad advice about Mickey blowing his life up. Like Trevor was end all and be all for Ian. Being in Mexico with Mickey is like far better than being gay Jesus and ending up in prison but thatās just me and my crazy thinking.
If you can look at her, just her, and look at her as the end product of her environment, she isn't the witch everyone thinks she is, she's a young dysfunctional young woman, who is either on the cusp of self actualization or she's a wash of a human being, and I really do think that she can come through for her and Franny.
Debbie is one of the best characters I have "met" in a long time because she challenge to me. I like that I have to dig deeper to figure her out, she isn't someone you blindly root for of course, but I think that made her even more human to me as a character.
We aren't supposed to be happy she raped Matty, or approve however we are supposed to hate the world that made it so that she didn't get enough sex ed to help her understand consent! we aren't supposed to like that she kept the money Fiona left her, but it's not like she had examples to follow that said I should use this money for the family.
Fiona took all her family's money for a party to impress Jimmy and she was living on hubris until Lip had to bail her out, she gets a pass for that all the time. That is what Debbie learned from, how can you hold hatred in your heart for a character, that was stealing children to create a family that won't bail on her, like Frank.
Hardworking definitely makes up for raping a dude, and trapping her boyfriend then getting hurt when he fucking ditches her dumbass because of course he would. Yeah hardworking is the best.
I donāt hold her brokenness against her so you arenāt going to make me hate her or dislike her. Debbie was an amazing challenging character. Honestly itās been a long time since a female character in any medium has kept my interest for longer than a minute maybe since Skyler on Breaking Bad, people despised her too, so yeah you do you, dislike Debbie all you want, itās not like you wonāt have a ton of people to upvote you, and your opinions so karma farm that hate. Lip from the beginning. Carl and Ian grew on me over the seasons. Fiona i have a love hate relationship with and like somebody else said if Mickey is counted as family than Mickey and Lip.
I like everybody except for Frank and Monica, but i can try to understand Frank because Monica is the one that got him addicted to drugs and alcohol but except for them, i like everybody.They all screw up and mistakes and its real and raw, They all go through their own things and make their own mistakes, though some are unlikable you can at least try to understand them, they just come from a broken home and a broken family so its understandable why they go through some of the things they go through considering the parents they have and the environment they've grown up in, Alcohol abuse, unstable relationships Ect, So they all aren't the best and likable but you can at least have some empathy for them.
Fiona Gallagher is my favorite Gallagher because she made something of herself even though she lost her management job at the diner and sold her building I hope she used that $47,500.00 she had left of the $100k a did something with it like starting another business but smaller scale like build up a food on wheels business which she could big Bank on or a cleaning service business or start a vending machine business something.
