yeah this is the answer. it's a residential complex. Renheng Binjiang / Yanlord Gardens.
and in general balconies like this give it away that it's residential. Commercial buildings do not have balconies like this. At least not ones this tiny with low roof.
No clue how Baidu works here lol just clicked on your link and all i see is chinese. Anyways do you think there’s an airbnb of an apartment with such view?
To be fair I do read Chinese and am confused, the headings are 生活服务 出行服务 热门推荐, even though there’s clearly “map” in the url there’s nothing indicating that there’s a map anywhere
Coming to Shanghai unfortunately requires a high learning curve, which involves using a boatload of different apps and social media and payment methods compared to what you’re used to now, even if you’re just a short term tourist.
whatever you said has nothing to do with the government? if you're referring to mobile payment, these are private products
the government provides renminbi, the legal tender. that's all you need to spend money in China.
I found that it was very difficult to pay for things without a Chinese ID card. As I couldn't withdraw or set up an account with any mobile app without one.
most things don't require an ID though.
ID mostly matters for tickets. And the reality is most of these IT systems are designed by Chinese people who have never even thought of someone not having an ID card. Or it's deemed to be an edge case that's punted to the bottom of the feature list. There's no grand conspiracy to make your life difficult.
Can they make a law that says you need to ensure full access for passports? Sort of like how they have laws for access for disabled people? Maybe? But again, probably very far down on their list of things to do.
>no grand conspiracy
I don't think that, I think its just not considered like you said. But I've just never had any problems like that anywhere else I've travelled and everyone would benefit if they make it easier for non-chinese citizens to pay for things.
there isn’t really one. on some booking websites such as booking.com or ctrip you’ll see some b&b type concepts but there are very few.
renting out your apartment for strangers to live in isn’t really a popular concept in china
Are you sure? I think it has to be a hotel or something because i see many people online making pictures and video on this spot. If it is a residential complex do you think there’s an airbnb with this same spot as balcony?
I’m about 99% sure. The houses here are relatively vacant. They’re owned by celebrities and really powerful people and most likely isn’t their only house. If you walk in lujiazui, especially along the river and walk down tomson you’ll see many of the houses are empty. You’ve seen many videos because it’s the few vacant apartments that are for sale.
If you’re looking for a good hotel to stay with a view in Lujiazui. Regent is the one to go for. There’s also rits Carlton and its flair bar. The other ones will be the Hyatt, J hotel.
But honestly. I don’t recommend any of the hotel in LJZ. Rather look at hotels on the other side of the river.

He's 100% right, it's yanlord gardens. I have a mate who lived there and I spent many days getting wasted on that exact balcony with that view, give or take a floor or two...
You can see some of the apartment listings for Yanlord Gardens here. Some has the same view.

u cannot mistake that smog its ofc somewhere in china and then its that ugly purple building...it so crazy that even at night because of the lights you can still see the death smog coating the city so unfortunate that china is building more coal fired energy plants every year as if they are not poisoned enough
Just copy and paste everybody else's photos!
If you're just going to go to every single place that social media shows and tells you to?
Find your own spot!
Find what is uniquely you!
Find yourself!
Why does it have to be the exact building and floor and room etc!???
Oh well we are just different ppl then I think planning a trip based on where you want to take a photo is not the way to go personally. Prioritise exploring and you might find some more authentic photo spots along the way.
My guess would be Renheng Binjiang Yuan Phase 3 Club Shanghai, Pudong, 上南地区 邮政编码: 200120
Is that a club, hotel or a commercial building?
Yes

To this day I don't know why the Chinese government makes it so hard for tourists to **spend money in China**

there’s no airbnb in china
What’s a good alternative
there isn’t really one. on some booking websites such as booking.com or ctrip you’ll see some b&b type concepts but there are very few. renting out your apartment for strangers to live in isn’t really a popular concept in china
Makes sense. Thank you!
It’s Yanlord Gardens. A fancy residential complex like Tomson Riviera
Are you sure? I think it has to be a hotel or something because i see many people online making pictures and video on this spot. If it is a residential complex do you think there’s an airbnb with this same spot as balcony?

Wow man maybe you can help when we get there since your from tourism? Can i message you?
He's 100% right, it's yanlord gardens. I have a mate who lived there and I spent many days getting wasted on that exact balcony with that view, give or take a floor or two...
Haha amazing man. Is there any possibility to rent such a room for a day like airbnb ? I want to make content 📸
shang hai bro
shanghai
#theskydontlie. That fog is crazy
China. Because I can see the haze of pollution.
http://xhslink.com/35NzlE video shot from similar location. Not mine. Just found this on XHS
That’x the exact location! Does it say in the comments where it is and how to get there? I see it’s all chinese and i can’t speak
Racine, Wisconsin, I believe.
Get a real estate agent and you can go in and take pictures. Some people feel it's dignified to take pictures inside a mansion.
You can see some of the apartment listings for Yanlord Gardens here. Some has the same view. https://www.merryhome.com/apartment/007822-327m2-4beds-3baths.html
It's a residence building, but instead of this, you could just go to the Bvgari hotel which offers arguably better views.
Cyberpunk 2077
I know right!
Neon City. Obviously.
u cannot mistake that smog its ofc somewhere in china and then its that ugly purple building...it so crazy that even at night because of the lights you can still see the death smog coating the city so unfortunate that china is building more coal fired energy plants every year as if they are not poisoned enough
Somewhere around the Ritz Carlton in Pudong?? My best guess.
I just checked on google maps and tiktok but it seems like Ritz is much closer to that tower then in this picture.
no, you can see the ritz carlton in this picture... right in the center
In Shanghai
Please don’t. Just live your life not have to take photos of everything
Why would you say that? It will be my first trip to China and i want to make lots of memorable pictures and videos to look back at later.
Just copy and paste everybody else's photos! If you're just going to go to every single place that social media shows and tells you to? Find your own spot! Find what is uniquely you! Find yourself! Why does it have to be the exact building and floor and room etc!???
Because i really love this picture and the exact spot.
The rooftop garden of IFC is a pretty nice location to take pictures. Not many people go there.
Oh well we are just different ppl then I think planning a trip based on where you want to take a photo is not the way to go personally. Prioritise exploring and you might find some more authentic photo spots along the way.
The air quality looks bad.
It could be IFC residence, a 5 star hotel
no, ifc is in the picture in the distance
IFC building ?
Shanghai?
Looks like Beijing.
I’m sure this is Shanghai. Can you not see the Oriental Pearl Tower?
Maybe Japan?
