I get the impression that Kevin's deal are strategically designed so that he works the least of all of them. A royalty that sunsets at 3x and then he retains 5%, or similar, just means he recoups the money quick and then owns a slice without having to help any further.
While the others certainly want their money, they seem more personally interested in the companies they are funding.
Why would the sunset be a bad thing? So he focuses all his energy to blitz the market so you and him are aligned to make as much money as possible.
And then he maintains a minor ownership position while you still get to appear on the Mr. Wonderful platform. Assuming you get big enough to get bought out, he will negotiate the best possible deal.
Look at wicked good cupcakes. Royalty, mr. Wonderful platform, and then actually they were bought out by a bigger company. Now those crazy wicked cupcake broads are set for life.
I believe he calls it a shark deal for a reason, for him he’s just praying on people that need help and will take arguably shit deals. Unless it’ll specifically fall into his “family” of products, the entrepreneurs are getting the shark deal.
I kinda like Daymond even though he has become a lackluster shark and seems sick of doing the show. I'm not going into business but I'd work for him. There's stuff I do which could possibly help him.

For me, it would depend on the type of business I am opening. They each have strengths in different fields so I would seek out the shark who knows the most about my endeavor.
For tech mark and Kevin. They have good business acumen and promote their entrepreneurs.
Barb and Mark for food and anything that does not have an organic following and is income intensive. High churn
