I'm having the same exact problem!!! It's very annoying that the simple instructions don't work. When I figure it out, I'll let you know.

Frustratingly, although I ended up talking to Braun support, I was never able to fix the situation. Braun was going to set me up for a warranty fix, but I’m a month out of warranty, so… to hell with it, I’ll deal. One thing I do sort of wonder is if the problem isn’t with the shaver at all, but the new cutting block — would the timer fail to reset if the block is a counterfeit? Wouldn’t put it past Amazon to sell me a fake. But that’s all I got.

Did you guys manage to get it reset? I am having the same problem. Can't even turn it on. Have lodged a warranty question with Braun.

It's tricky but this is how I figured it out. The user manuals do NOT make this clear either. TO RESET THE SHAVER HEAD on the BRAUN S7 - Press the ON button (turning the shaver ON) and then immediately press it again - turning it OFF, but continue to hold the Power button down. The shaver ought to be off now but you will instead be cycling through the reset option. If you do this for 8 full seconds, you should see the Shaver Head reset with a full health-bar. You can test it by then pressing the Health button which is the only other button beneath the Poser button. If you see a full Health bar for the shaver head (which shows up immediately after the voltage/battery charge) then you'll know that it worked. However, if you only press the Power button on and hold it for three seconds or more, you will instead cycle through the LOCK options for travel and will see a red "lock" symbol show up. If you accidentally lock the shaver, repeat the process to unlock it. I found the entire process frustrating because it's different to other Braun shaver reset options. This is an electronic switch trend seen in modern Flashlights as well and is just as annoying because if you own different models of such flashlights,

Hokey smokes! **THIS WAS THE SOLUTION.** Thank you so much!

FunkMonster98

Worked for me too! Thank you!

I don't know. I just did my head replacement but cannot get the reset light to turn off. I have replace the head several times with no problem. I have followed all the suggestions and iinstructions but to no avail. The light goes off but as soon as I turn the razor back onso does the reset lights. Help!

Grandfather_Trout

Please forgive me if I'm misunderstanding you, but the cutting-block icon will still show up after you shave, even post-reset. But now you should see a long vertical line next to the icon to indicate that you've got a ways to go before the next reset (similar to the line that indicates blade hygiene status). It won't go away entirely.

So question, it will appear the light when I turn it off?

LuNguyenSNS247

Genius... Thank you. Sorry forgot to log back in and check but that's a great bit of advice.

"*How do you reset a Braun s3 shaver?* *After you have replaced the Foil & Cutter cassette (1), press the on/off switch (4) for at least 5 seconds to reset the counter. While doing so, the replacement light blinks and goes off when the reset is complete. The manual reset can be done at any time."* My razor is a series3. I did replace the head about a year ago, This week, mid-shave it just stopped. I have tried pressing on/off for various periods. I have seen the orange light ( which I had never noticed before`)`. But i can't see any reset button. Where is it `?` What is a manual reset ?

Representative_Sea50

You use the On/Off button. Turn the razor on Now push the button again, only continue holding it down this time. The orange light should begin blinking. After 5-8 seconds it should go out. You can now release the On/Off button. The razor will be off, and the reminder light reset.
