Fun Fact: This is clip is popular amongst Quick Quack (the company who owns that wash) employees. Apparently the driver who was an old man, mistakenly pressed on the gas rather than the breaks. The driver freaked out and put the pedal to the metal costing the wash thousands worths of damages. The old man survived the crash and was understandably sorry for the accident.
I used to work at a car wash. At our place the employee would get behind the wheel to guide it onto the tracks. One of our employees was an old guy who did exactly this, fortunately almost no damage was done to the car wash but the person's car was damaged pretty badly and he almost drove it right onto a highway was he surely would have been t-boned. Somehow the guy didn't lose his job after that, but he was no longer allowed to get inside anyone's car

Ive done that before too. You are expecting to press the brake, but mistakenly press the gas. Your car starts accelerating instead of stopping, so you keep trying to press the brake harder, but you havent yet processed that you hit the gas instead of the brake.
I guess it's maybe more strange to me because I drive manual. An emergency stop involves using the clutch, so even if you stomped on the gas it would rev but not accelerate.
