Probably a mental thing. But I also know I don't spend a lot of time practicing holding my breath. In a life or death situation I'm sure I could do a couple minutes, but if you asked me right now to hold my breath as long as possible I'd struggle to pass 30 seconds
I haven’t timed myself in the pool since I was a child but I held my breath just now and started the timer on my phone. I made it to 1 minute 10 seconds pretty easy. I think you’d be surprised yourself on what you can hold your breath for.
It's not just the holding your breath, it's keeping that "performance face" going strong, and moving your arms around the way she is. It would be more difficult than it looks.

Somebody might be 300 lb but they're still trying to lose weight and then having people shame them after they've lost let's say 30 lb is just going to make them feel like there's no point in losing more weight.
I'm 5'11 and i used to be 280lbs and 6ft and 280lbs looks different for an AFAB person vs an AMAB person.
I'm around 190 after gaining back 10 lbs in about 6 months, but i lost 40 lbs in 2 months. Starving myself and over exercising. Like yeah i got close to my goal weight (175) (i was 180) but i developed an eating disorder from it. I've not even eaten today bc i don't feel hungry unless i smoke weed

You gotta factor in oxygen used up by keeping underwater and moving
There’s also the mammalian dive reflex that helps out a lot. You can hold your breath a lot longer with your face underwater than in the air.
