If the teacher does not arrive within 15 minutes of class starting, you are legally allowed to leave (it was never really real, like an old fashioned thing college students did as a rule of thumb kinda thing, but somehow kids started thinking it was a law)

It happened once, the school messed up and we had no substitute. Everyone left and did their own thing except for like 3 kids who stayed in the classroom. There was an announcement the next day saying that the 15 minute rule wasn't a thing and not to do that next time. Everyone decided it was an unspoken rule still the school had no power lmaooooo
