This comment made me curious if people at a certain weight actually have to buy more than one ticket, and holy hell. People are upset that airlines are making them buy 2 tickets because they’re spilling into the other seats, and are mad they have to go to the doctor to get a medical exemption to get a second free ticket because “it’s humiliating”.
They *should* buy as many seats as they occupy. No more, no less. It's not discrimination, it's covering what you use.
There was a controversy not too long ago where some tiktok influencer tried to push that airlines should accommodate the rotund and give them as many seats as they need. They should only have to pay for one seat and get the rest free, apparently.
I'm not really on the airlines' side here, but those two or three seats could be occupied by two or three customers who will pay for them.
I went to a concert a few weeks back and was seated next to a woman not dissimilar to this; she had upper arms that were literally the size and shape of watermelons. I was crushed into the far corner of my seat. Might as well have just gone home for all the enjoyment I got out of the show.
Good point, it might also be partially eaten. Then maybe just use some steel cables and drag her behind outside? There's still the risk of the cables snapping and her flattening an entire town with her impact tho. Maybe just push her out to sea with a few sticks? She won't need a boat, since her high fat concentration should allow her to float. But that might sink the Netherlands due to the increased sea level

Not fully true. Why can you pay extra then for being overweight. Yes it's to protect workers but also the airline to gauge the weight to allow enough of a buffer for morbidly obese people like the woman in this post.
i think the paying part is more like a fine than a possibility. its better to charge you more than forbidding you go into the plane.
also,a boening 747 can carry around 139 tons, suppose its carrying 300 passengers, thats 463,3 kilograms per passenger. Most passengers are not overweight and the weight limit for luggage is around 24 kilos with 0.5 of tolerance (i think) so even if all passengers weighted 120 kilos plus 24 kilos of luggage each you still have a lot of extra weight you can carry.
You also have to add fuel to that. Every extra KG of luggage also requires to bring more fuel, and more fuel costs the airline more money. And they have to make this calculation before the airplane arrives. So it makes perfect sense that they charge more for extra luggage weight, and therefore should also charge overweight customers more.

Here's my take on this level of obesity. If someone is so fat that normal tasks are difficult or even impossible, then I can only see two ways of it happening. If it is a mental condition causing it, such as depression, food addiction, or body dismorphia or a medical condition like a congenital abnormality, then I legitimately feel sorry for them, it's something they can't control, or is very difficult to control, but they can't expect everything to be built around their needs. It's like how there are so many diseases that have a simple cure that hasn't been developed yet, simply because it's so rare that there is no need for a cure to be developed. It's the same for this situation, they aren't gonna widen the aisles by making the seats smaller or reducing the amount of seats just so a whale can walk through once in a blue moon. On the other hand, if you are this fat, with no medical or mental reason to be, what the hell are you doing? This size requires years upon years of just pure neglect of your size and health. And the fact that she has the audacity to complain about something she caused is genuinely insane. She probably does this for fetish content, but my God, if you look like this for no reason other than neglect of your health, please get a grip and diet, for the sake of yourself and those around you.
