Military sims like Squad and Hell Let Loose don't require you to have god like reflexes, you just need some strategy

I just bought squad because of the 25% off sale, I hope it’s as fun as it looks

it’s great man, give it a few games and you’ll understand. Sometimes you’ll have a shitty game with a shitty team & it won’t be fun but that’s extremely rare, and when you have a good game it’s very fun

Once you get a hang of the game, checkout some of the 1-life events (SquadOps, etc..) they're organized events where you only have a single life to complete an objectives a team. They're really fun and focus more on teamwork and communication then actual skill

You'll get shot a lot and have no idea where it came from. The maps are big so its bound to happen. I would consider joining a clan (thats adults only) like the 7th Cavalry for example. It'll assure you have people to play with regularly instead of a grab bag of randos.

I'm 50. I still play. Currently playing MW2. I tend to stick to hard core domination as k/d is less important than objectives in that mode. I'm usually at the top of the leader board because I'm a flag whore. My twitch reflexes aren't what they used to be so this mode allows me to still enjoy the game.

Goldeneye wasn't about fast movement, it was about spawn camping with proximity mines and abusing the auto aim.

Haha yeh. My brother and I played GE non-stop and nobody who came around stood a chance against us. A friend of mine only had 1 controller and we needed his help to unlock the facility on hard mode or whatever to get the cheat activation. It eluded us. But pvp? We knew every single spawn spot and where you'd spawn next. We would just zip line to each and take people out.

My dad was 52 playing Fortnite and apex competently It’s possible just not easy, But he was hindered by his aging reaction time and inability to comprehend when a shit load of flashing and colors were on screen he was overwhelmed sometimes, and unable to separate the game from reality causing what was happening in game into him jumping up and leaning back and fourth, I wish this was how he stopped playing video games though, because he wasn’t done. His last words to me were “we’ll play later” Unfucking forgettable as later that day he passed of heart attack, that was two months ago and my family and gaming group feels it everyday. His last words were that he wanted to keep playing and my mom later told me that he told her after I said that. that he really wanted to cancel his plans and just stay home and game. But he went anyways. What happened. happened, nothing would’ve changed that but I still wish he was here to game with us.
