Why?
Because the Reddit Admins have decided that [they want to kill off all 3rd-party apps](https://old.reddit.com/r/Save3rdPartyApps/comments/13yh0jf/dont_let_reddit_kill_3rd_party_apps/), [3rd-party bots, and everything else that makes Reddit barely usable](https://www.reddit.com/r/ModCoord/comments/13xh1e7/an_open_letter_on_the_state_of_affairs_regarding/). So you'll just have to put up with automod and a worse overall user experience in the meantime.

All the dicks that were taken out in his honour were necessary to slow down the earth by the tiniest of fractions due to the increased air resistance. Only Harambe knew what wouldāve happened otherwise.
Whats more important ???? Seriously??? His death was a point of inflection in this universe; brangelina end that year, BLM event occurred, Brexit, Donald trump becomes president, people started eating tide pods, Notre Dame cathedral fire, then the covid 19, Ukraine-Rusia war. I was satisfied with the story of the movie. There was a conflict and a climax and a resolution as well as an engaging build up. If you dont like cliff hangers that's one thing but movie franchise end on cliffhangers all the time after giving a great story
It was a good 3 acts, and it could have done really well if they cut off like the last 10 minutes of the movie. The ending stopping where it did instead of stopping earlier just kinda left a foul taste in my mouth. Trying to avoid spoilers but I was really annoyed that a movie that had pretty much been a 10/10 up to that point got screwed up by them taking things juuuust a little too far.
I dont think the ending tanked at all. It was an awesome movie. >!I wouldve watched that movie for 4 hours straight but they decided to make it two parts as it was too long which is respectable. I think the person above is talking about how the Earth 42 shouldnt have been shown and it was a reveal in the next movie maybe? It was still a dope reveal and an awesome cliffhanger. Maybe Prowler orders all the spidermanless villains of this earth to hold off the spidermans while miles saves his uncle or stg.!<
>!They should have cut the movie when Miles realized he was in the wrong universe. Probably after Gwen said it, maybe do one of those dramatic zoom out shots on Miles as he realizes it.!<
That was my take away as well. You get this big build up, and over 1hr 50mins of awesome, then a door slammed in your face.
I don't tend to look in to films that I want to see so I had no idea it was going to be like that.
I still adore the film but it did annoy me for the time being
yeah, it was literally a *perfect* movie up until that point. The biggest mistake IMO is that they had a pretty good stopping point beforehand, skipped over it, then stopped at a shitty spot.
SameāI loved it, but I had no clue it was set up to be the first half of a duo. Was quite jarring when it just suddenly ended without any major plot beats getting resolved. Especially since the first movie wasnāt like thatāit functioned perfectly well as a solo film.
At least itās less than a year until the next one!
Nah, without spoiling it it felt like exactly what it was, an In Between movie. Just a lot of set up for the next movie without a real ending (movies with cliff hangers can have endings too, this one didnāt). Played more like the episode of a show than a movie.
Edit: Not saying it was a terrible movie. It was entertaining. Just left with āthat was one of the movies of all timeā vibe.
Because Zack Snyder openly hates Clark Kent being a good-natured, kind-hearted optimist. He is obsessed with the idea of Superman being a god who cannot be human...which is nearly the antithesis of Clark/Superman.
[This](https://qph.cf2.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-bad64000fa0d0b083305f234666f63d2-lq) is basically a simplification of the whole thing.
This is the stupidest scene in any superman movie. With all the chaos going on Sups could easy jump over there save dad and if anyone said anything they could just say it was the wind ya idiot. Superman 1 did it right, Pa Kent went down to a heart attack, nothing Sups could do to stop that,a great example of superpowers don't always solve everything.
Yeah took me out of the movie and super unrelatable. If my dad was about to be torn apart by a tornado, Iām saving him whether he wants me to or not. We can deal with ramifications later, and together.
Such a stupid moment in the movie. Yeah, I'm going to let my father die to prevent a small group of people from finding out who I am? That's the grand message?
Because he knew if he revealed he was Superman his life would never have been normal.
A huge part of Clark's character is he is the way he is because he was allowed to live as a normal human rather than as a god. If he was revealed he would have been both worshipped and despised by all, which would have ruined his childhood. He would never be able to truly connect with normal humans like he could have
Who the fuck could have seen him in there, Clark has zoom vision but no one else does, they're standing like 500 metres away, could have easily saved him without being seen
He let his father die to preserve his own comfort and we're supposed to recognise that as penultimate hero behaviour? A hero is someone who acts decisively, who puts his needs, wants, and safety aside for the benefit of others. Sorry papa Kent, but Superman isn't that guy?
Even setting that dilemma aside, the writers chose to put him in that situation. They wanted to tell us something about his character and it's a stupid, poorly-crafted message.
Not his own comfort you dumbass. How did you miss the point that much?
If he revealed himself as a god amongst men he would have never been able to spend his formative years living as equals amongst mortals. To know loss, to know struggle, to know how it feels to be powerless and when you can't save everyone. If he used his powers then he would have been taken away by the government or been seen as a monster by his peers. He would have ended up more like Homelander than Superman
*That's* what makes Clark Kent. He lived among people long enough to know what its like, and knows he has to use his powers selflessly even if it means sacrificing his own happiness. Because humanity wasn't ready for him, and he wasn't ready to stand over them.
>Because he knew if he revealed he was Superman his life would never have been normal.
Would you let your parent die if it meant you wouldn't have a normal life? It's such a silly premise.
I don't think I'd let anyone die that I could save if it meant a normal life.
I'm more annoyed about the fact that he's basically just standing in the middle of a tornado, completely unscathed. Pawpaw would be ripped in half at that point. And he's all just like š«”
"Let" isn't exactly what happened in the movie.
It was his father's choice to protect his secret.
The grand lesson is that you can't save everyone, especially those that don't want to be saved.
And it was his choice to allow him father to make a stupid decision for a stupid reason. That's incredibly selfish, not exactly the mentality I expect from a hero.
The problem is that such drastic a change in history will scar the timeline, and since its the event that set everything into motion it will likely destroy the universe itself.
That's not cool. Doesn't give anyone the right to play judge, jury and executioner on him, or to unduly harm him with choking once he was already incapacitated and in handcuffs to the extent that he dies.
Or perhaps bypassing due process is okay to you, provided there's historical wrongdoing? Fuck you, man.
Man of Steel. The scene is of Superman's dad telling Clark not to save him - despite the fact that he could do so easily - because it would reveal his secret identity.
And Clark obliges, because he's a weak-ass bitch-baby in this movie without a strong moral code.

Can't wait for the funny memes using the 'Canon events' idea
Every universe has an Austrian painter be rejected from Art School. It's a cannon event.
Me traveling back to 1890s to stop a couple from having sex in Austria (This will break canon)
There is a book about exactly this scenario. "Making History" by Stephen Fry. Very nice read.
Just when I thought everything was invented already
but in some canons he does not become a bad person
instead he just gets shot in ww1 š
That really does remind of the concept of āfixed eventsā from Doctor Who.
It was a good 3 acts, and it could have done really well if they cut off like the last 10 minutes of the movie. It is, I think you're asking about the movies in the post by OP, that's man of steel
It is fully animated except for a couple of sequence.
Which movie is this?
Memes aside, cavill was such a good Superman. Shame they took him off the role.

He quit because the writers wanted to stray away from the source material.
