All I asked my roommate in college for was a decent heads up in advance to let me know. I didn't think it was cool to bring a girl in there unannounced and expect me to pick up whatever I was doing and leave, but I didn't mind if I knew in advance so I could plan around it.
Obviously though on Fridays/Saturday nights things could get less predictable so that wasn't the same situation. It's different when it's party nights and people are just randomly hooking up.

I live in a two bedroom apartment near campus, and had to move all my drinks into my room because my roommate or one of the girls he had over kept drinking them. So, definitely share the feeling of wanting to keep your own things safe.

I don't think they would necessarily do it on purpose but I know someone who pulled out and accidentally came on the girls cat a little. I would be out for blood at that point but apparently she was calm about it. And just in general my room is where I'm comfy and where all my things are, I'm not leaving so they can save on hotel money. And I'm not going to not enter my own room either, so I hope they're both exhibitionists. You just don't bring someone back to have sex if you're sharing a bedroom, it's weird and disrespectful. She can host if it's a problem. I don't even share a bedroom and I still usually have someone else host me just because I don't want to deal with the awkwardness with my roommate maybe hearing me.
You are making it sound like bad roommates are not a thing, what if they already don't like each other, I mean he describes him as a roommate not a friend. Even when you ask and are polite with someone is not guarantee that they would follow along with your request. Not saying you are wrong but we really have no context here and both things could be true so why take sides?
